The colors really complement each other. They also have different weight options, exercise balls, some mats available, stretch bands etc. For the grand opening they hosted 3 classes for the community. They had charcuterie cups, mocktails, different vendors and sign up specials. The owner, Samara, is so kind! It looks like they have a wonderful little community going on here. Parking is also not too difficult. She definitely gave this place a beautiful makeover. :)

I also wanted to…read morerespond to a review I saw here that I personally do not think reflects the environment of this gym. From my experience, this gym has been very safe and respectful for women. I have never been disrespected by any men here. I go at different times of the day, both mornings and evenings, so I see different groups of people, and my experience has always been positive. Overall, the gym is great. I really like that there have been upgrades with new machines being added. It's nice to see the gym continuing to improve the equipment for members. One suggestion I would have is adding more recovery options. The sauna is great, but many gyms are starting to offer additional recovery amenities. It would be really nice to see things like massage chairs, a cold plunge, or other recovery features added for members. Another improvement that could help would be organizing some of the machines a bit more by section, such as grouping leg machines together and arm machines together. Aside from those suggestions, I really enjoy this gym. It's a clean, safe environment and a great place to work out. The staff here are also great and very helpful. I saw some people mention that the blonde woman who works here is rude, but that has not been my experience at all. She has always been very nice. She may have a strong voice and might come across as serious at first, but once you talk to her she is actually very kind. She may just not be a super bubbly person, and that's okay because everyone has different personalities. I would also like to point out that all of the employees here have been nice and respectful. Not only has she helping me reach my fitness goals, but she continuously helps me become a better version of myself. Even with early morning sessions she always has a great attitude and is ready to help you have a productive session! She truly listens to my needs and is incredibly knowledgeable and has great expertise in powerlifting. As a person with a physical disability, I really appreciated that she never shied away from training me or treated me differently. Instead, she took the time to figure out how to modify certain workouts while still helping me accomplish the goals we set together. I also love the private gym atmosphere. I never have to worry about it being overcrowded and not getting everything we have planned for our session, huge plus it's always clean, and everyone is very welcoming. I had planned on signing up with a private Pilates studio until I discovered the LA fitness program. For less than $100 I can attend unlimited classes. The reformer room has everything you would need and the instructors are experienced and supportive especially Anthony who takes extra time to correct posture and ensure I am doing it correctly.

Huge recreation space, so many different amenities to try, overall a pretty nice recreation center…read more After 4 years of coming here to the student rec center at UCR, I've decided to write a Yelp review. There have been so many changes over the years to the gym here at UCR, mostly to try to better the place. They've moved things around, made things nicer, added more things, and overall improved the gym space but adding things like extra power racks and now they have a weight sled on the second floor. Service is generally friendly but usually whenever I ask the front desk for things, they seem lost or they act like they don't care about anything. Overall, I do think that this recreation center is a lot nicer than other the other UCs. Some of my complaints include that they refuse to have higher dumbbell limits, since the highest dumbbells only go up to 100. I know it's not in-demand to have them, but if students need to progress, you'd think they'd add more weights. I also don't like that they got rid of some of the leg machines downstairs and moved them upstairs. By doing that, you're making students become even more lazy from doing leg workouts more often and you've created a chicken leg epidemic! haha If you're coming to this gym from outside of the university, I believe that they have guest passes for $5. But if you're from UCR, I highly suggest utilizing this gym because it's included in your tuition.

They have any type of weight training you need, an indoor track, beautiful pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and almost anything you need. The equipment is kept clean, and you can use the rooms to do floor training when classes aren't being held. Speaking of classes - they have people come and teach Zumba, Pilates, or again - anything you need. Water stations on both floors, and clean bathrooms on both floors as well. Sometimes the SRC gets crowded, but that's mostly after the New Years. If you avoid prime hours of working out you'll have no problem getting the machines you need. However, even if it is crowded, you'll still get what you need with a short wait time. If you're a student or have the opportunity to use this gym, I strongly recommend it!

to the manager : why are there solicitors outside of 24 hour fitness right in front the…read moreentrance!!?? please stop this!! this is the only gym i see with a solicitor at the door!! la fitness doesn't do this! they represent the aspca but they are not volunteers but paid gig employees! one of them asked "do i like animals, sir?" i replied "of course!" and now i'm sitting in a 10 minute spiel of how of how i can donate $25-$50 a month! i come back 2 days later with a young lady this time to how much i can i can donate. then next day another person asks it. i love animals and love to donate to a good cause but i don't want to be guilted to donate every time after i'm coming back from a 10 hour nursing shift. i'm tired but at this point i rather sign up for la fitness after my annual term is up. at least i won't be bothered and bathrooms and showers will at least be a little cleaner!! please do something about this or else i will switch to chuze or la fitness. thanks.
