Went in to replace my two front passenger/driver windows, waited maybe 5 minutes to be helped. The tall blue eyed man at the front counter did offer recommendations to try and upsell so I did feel a little pressured but I was set on what I wanted done. I used a Groupon and I just don't get why they'd get upset if we don't want to upgrade, if they don't want to offer a low price deal then why even advertise on Groupon? Makes no sense to me. I even let them take off the tint which was $20 each window, I could've done that part at home myself but I wanted to give them some type of business (eventhough I've already spent money on the Groupon). They should let their work speak for itself and let people decide wether or not they want to come back and get more work done. I lowkey felt like they were talking behind my back and if I hadn't felt that way I would've most certainly brought my car back. They did such a great job! In under an hour which was faster than I anticipated. Merchant charges me for 4 hours even though the job was completed in 3 hours. When I brought to his attention that three hours ago he agreed not to overcharge me if installation was completed early he was dismissive and justified charging me 4 rather than 3 hours because he lowered the hourly fee and had to pay two employees to attend my vehicle to complete the job early Disappointed and leery of the merchants honesty, professionalism and work ethic I went to my vehicle in their front parking lot and doubled checked the boxes for the older replaced speakers count. I noticed 4 original speakers and some speaker boxes were missing I notified the merchants to find the missing boxes and also to come out to the parking lot and find the missing speakers Merchant found the missing boxes and speakers and put them in their correct boxes. Be careful people !!! They will try their best to steal your money by give you a fake diagnoses then they will ask you what is your budget to fix the issue... I went to them to replace the driver speaker because it was bad and vibrated with the hight speed and made noise .. while after they "diagnosed" the vehicle they said that the whole radio system need to be replaced and that will cost $1450 !!! To be honest I believed them and I paid the $ 101 diagnosis fee and not ready to fix the radio for $1450 and decided to leave it alone.. friend of mine helped me to sole the problem and replace the driver speaker for only $30 and that's it. Just left with ceramic tint. It's crazy reflective & I can tell a difference already. I'm nervous about all the bubbles but realize they may have different baby shampoo / solution & different wedges than my normal guy has. You can press a little harder but risk creasing or damaging the film which is wasted time & product. You just let it dry & see what happens. That's what their guarantee is for! They were very clear about being welcome to call with any issues. My doors were messy with all the drip but you have to understand the more solution - the faster & better they place it. You don't want it to stick too quickly. These things that do come along with the job. If you need it perfect, get a kit & do it yourself. It's not that difficult til you get to the back windshield. They're pushing 5 windows & a visor in about 30-45min. You're in & out once they get your car in the bay. They're being flexible right now with everything happening. They tinted my windows and had two big bubbles when I picked the car up. They told me the bubbles would go away once the installation fluid evaporated. A week later the bubbles were still there so I took it back. They blamed me for the bubbles accusing me of rolling my window down which isn't true! If it were true then why did it have bubbles when I picked it up???? They said they would remove their crappy tint job for free but I'd have to pay full price to get it re-done correctly. I took my sons car in today to have them install his 2 12" subs and amp. On top 9f this I paid them to replace all 4 interior speakers with top od the line Rockford Fosgate punch 6x9 for the rear and 6.5 for the front. These are priced around $120 per pair. When I got home and looked at the speakers I noticed the installed $50 Cerwin Vega 6×9 in the back and then $50 6.5" prime series Rockford Fosgate in the front. They also charged me for a hi/low converter that was not installed nor needed as I have an aftermarket radio deck with the proper inputs. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I will have to wait until Monday to speak with them and figure out why and what they're going to do read more

Why these guys are not at #1, I have no idea. Incredible: service, price and product. Same day installation and it was fast!! Price is better then all the other places I checked. They have a great deal on Groupon but I passed on that deal and went with the higher tint. No high pressure just very knowledgeable about their products and service. They installed a Rydeen digital parking sensor system to replace a broken system I had. Ordinarily, this is a simple thing to do without error. However: 1. They installed the LED display in front of my car dash panel preventing me from reading my own car's display near the odometer. How stupid is that. I had to open the dash cover and re-route the display just over the steering column so that it would not visually block other gages on my dash. This is what they should have done. But first, they should have ASKED me where to put it since there are a number of options according to the manufacturer (not just one according to Sam) 2. Upon assembling the front dash cover assembly, they accidently pinched about 4 inches of connector wire bundle between my dash and dash cover which you can easily see when looking at the dash panel display. It took me about a minute to unsnap the dash cover to push through and free up the wire bundle placing it behind the cover where it belonged. The guy assembling everything obviously did not check anything after finishing up the assembly. It is hard to miss something like this but he did. 3. This Rydeen DSR4000 kit comes with a second speaker which they installed on the top left corner of my windshield. The problem is it doesn't function since I only have rear sensors (second speaker is for front sensors if installed). Sam said that was so it would be ready whenever I installed front sensors. Yeah, really. I told him to take it out since it blocks my view out of my windshield and I don't need front sensors. Because Sam balked when I expected him to fix all these problems, I decided to fix them all myself. All I did was to open up the pillar A cover and tie-wrap the speaker inside the pillar cover to hide it. I fixed this with no help from this stereo shop. 4. The installer moved my previously installed hands-free Bluetooth mic from the center location just under my rear view mirror to a position on my windshield just in front of my head. How annoying is that !!! ...to look forward and see a microphone all the time. Again, pretty stupid. After taking the pillar A cover off, I noticed the installer pulled the mic and tie wrapped it for some stupid reason. I cut the tie wrap and moved the mic back to its original (and proper) location. Problem solved in 5 minutes...but again without help from this shop. 5. The installer messed up when putting all the rubber door seals back in place. I had to pull and uncrimp some sections he obviously missed because he assembled it in a hurry. He unfortunately prefers speed to quality. 6. Sam forgot to give me the users owner manual for this product and could not find one when I asked for it. Sam could not answer any of my questions regarding the second speaker so I had to go online to read all about it to see if my installation needed it (it didn't). Sam does not seem to know his own inventory. Not only did Sam forget to give me a users manual but when I asked (twice before they did anything) for all the old parts back I only got about 1/2 of them back. Concluding: If you want shoddy workmanship, then you have come to the right store, Custom Car & Stereo & Tint on Midway Road. Sam will sell you stuff but obviously does not care about any issues after the sale. If only he laid out choices to his customers and understood his products better, he might avoid such issues. If they comment about anything, I hope they don't give all the excuses and lies they have been giving me the past 2 visits. read more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I picked this company to put in my back up camera because I thought they were experienced professionals. Boy was I wrong When I picked up my truck I drove it home. My home has speed bumps and after the first one, the camera moved so that it was facing straight down. Upon investigation Custom Car Stereo & Tint broke the camera bracket, tried to glue it and also forgot to put the screws in the camera to secure it to the bracket. I spoke to the manager and asked what they were going to do, he said he would speak to the owner and get back to me.............since then (Oct 4) crickets...........Never hear back POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE read more

If you're coming to this spot for tint be sure you know why you're getting it done (to keep your car cool, aesthetics, etc). They provide ceramic tint (which is well known for keeping cars cooler than the traditional 3M). Do your research, ceramic tint is very different than 3M and it comes at a premium. I came to this spot after getting another truck. My friend got her tint done by them the previous summer (and they did a great job) so I figured I'd give them a shot as well. My experience was not the same. It took 5 hrs to complete the job and I had scheduled an appointment prior. I asked for 5% but none of the windows were the usual limo tint nor were they dark like my friends car. The driver side window didn't set properly so I had to take it back to get that window fixed. I let Ryan (the manager) know that I wasn't satisfied with the job and that it looked very light. I also noticed none of the window tints matched (when looking through the interior). He stated all windows were 5%, that my rear windows were not clear but had a natural smoke color so that was the reason for the differences in the shades, but he had no problem fixing the driver side window and darkening the front windows. Monday comes and I'm back in there to get the tint fixed. Ryan let me know that he'd be willing to install some sound upgrades I had previously inquired about for $1700. I asked him if his installers were knowledgeable in installing one of the pieces of equipment, he assured me they were and I approved him to move forward with the install while fixing the windows. He did cover round trip transportation for me so I wasn't waiting at the shop all day. I get back to the shop at the end of the day, he demonstrates the sound system and low & behold the subs are not working and the kids are not wired correctly at all. Ryan states he doesn't know what's wrong and I will need to come back the next day to get it figured out. As for the windows, the installer adds 5% to the fronts although they're already "5%". Now the fronts are too dark, so dark that I can't even see through them and they still don't match the rear (from the interior). I made Ryan aware that I'm extremely irritated and unsatisfied with my experience with them. I come back the next day, bear in mind my patience is extremely low at this point, toss my keys on the counter and sit in the waiting room. A few hours later, the front windows are back at 5% and the subs are working but my driver side rear door speakers are not working at all (mind you, they were fine when I got there). I'm livid at this point and Ryan has the nerve to offer me after market speakers at a discount; he was serious. I let him know I didn't trust him or the installers at this point. He refused to take responsibility for damaging the speakers stating "speakers go out all the time" and "I'm doing everything I can". At this point, I just want a refund on the labor (~$300) so that I can take my car to go get fixed elsewhere since his crew did not complete the job. He replied the owner is the only one that can process refunds. I talk to the owner, Sam Smart and he's as horrible as Ryan (I see where he gets it from). Refused to take ownership, condescending, belittling, judgemental - you name it. Now I'm out of $2200 and need to get everything re-done. Do yourself a favor go ANYWHERE else but here. read more
