I highly recommend this place for auto window tint. I took my white Mazda that had factory installed sun shade and had ceramic tint installed on all sides and back glass. What a difference we noticed with the car, not only with looks but how cool the car kept now with the ceramic tint reflecting harmful UV rays and heat. Jaun took his time explaining to me all of the options I had, which really helped me feel comfortable in what I was getting and how it would look. No option for 10 stars?, pity. This review is for J's and specifically for Mariela and her brother, Clemente. Took my Silverado for an issue I was having with an aftermarket alarm that was installed by another shop who had told me i would need to replace the entire system they installed. Basically, start over. Clemente was able to diagnose the issue within a few minutes and informed me I only need to replace a certain part that would fix the problem. Of course this at a fraction of the cost for a full system replacement I was offered by the original installer. Needless to say, this was the way to go. Have since had J's do additional work for me and feel very comfortable coming back to them in the future. Another reason is I had Clemente look at an issue I was having with another vehicle. He was able to fix that issue as well. When the issue came back i called and found that he was no longer with J's. He had moved on to open another shop in Grapevine. But when I called his sister, she agreed to contact him to see if he would help me. Although he was no longer with J's, Clemente did not hesitate to help me. I drove out to his new location and he quickly resolved the problem and at no charge. I am extremely impressed with Clemente and Mariela for them both going beyond any expectations I had to help me. I would absolutely recommend J's and Film Specialists in Grapevine with any of your car needs for alarm, audio/visual, and tint work. TLDR: PAID $1500 FOR $600 WORTH OF LOW QUALITY AUDIO EQUIPMENT AND NO CARE IN HOW IT WAS INSTALLED AND BROKE BECAUSE OF FAULTY INSTALATION. NOW THEY WONT FIX OR REPLACE. I came in mid may to get a full audio upgrade and a subwoofer installed, Since I was eager and new to car audio they really pushed the narrative that if I were to buy my own gear and then have them install it not only will it be more expensive but they will not offer any type of warranty at all if anything breaks. So I accepted to purchase everything off them they charged me $1500 for "Tweeters, door speakers, back panel speakers, an amp, and a subwoofer" and installation. Ill give it up to the lady in front she will be the NICEST person to try to lock a customer into a purchase but once you make that purchase they don't care what so ever about you or your car. First problem - Exiting their shop, My left back panel speaker had a screw missing and would cause rattling while playing music, they did not mount my subwoofer to my car causing it to roll around and get tosses around on the way home from the shop, there was no bass knob installed to allow myself to turn the bass up or down relative to the music I'm playing, and they turned up the gain ALL THE WAY on amplifier and when i advised them "the technician" said "Look for the gain knob turn it until u like the bass" THATS NOT WHAT GAIN IS FOR... ITS NOT A BASS BOOST KNOB ITS TO TUNE YOUR SUBWOOFER TO NOT CLIP OR DISTORT.... also the amplifier was a full range not Monoblock meaning there was frequency's that are not meant for a subwoofer to play being sent to it Second problem - My subwoofer stops playing sound 2 months in, i call them and i bring them my car. They replaced my amp saying it was bad but they give me a used amp as a replacement, they also "mounted" my sub by literally taking out the woofer and then just impact drill 3 screws through the box and the floor making a hole in my trunk floor and also pierced my spare tire... but my woofer was fixed or so i thought because leaving the shop my subwoofer dies again and i go back to them only for them to keep my car the entire day and tell me i need to purchase a sub from them because its blown due to heavy usage (Totally heavy usage and not tuning or using the appropriate amp) and if they replaced it for me they would be losing money.... WHY THE HELL DID I PAY $1500 THEN??? Third and Worst problem - after all the crap they made me go through i decided to redo my ENTIRE system. i take apart my door panels to see no aftermarket tweeters installed and the worst solder job I've seen, last but not least this is the cost if I bought the speakers they sold me online right now Hertz x165 6.5 speakers- $100 Hertz x390 6.9 speakers - $100 DC audio level 1 8 inch subwoofer - $95 8in sub box - $50 Fullrange 1500w amp - $300 OFC 4 guage wiring kit - $30 Tweeters - ???? they didnt even install any TOTAL : $675 Why did i pay $1500 for $600 worth of audio equipment that they will not replace even though they said it all had warranty and the WORST installation imaginable. PLEASE GUYS DO NOT COME HERE, LEARN TO WIRE AND INSTALL YOUR CAR AUDIO YOURSELF AFTER THIS CRAPPY SITUATION I SPENT $700 WITH SKAR AUDIO FOR A 12INCH SUBWOOFER AND 2X THE QUALITY OF THE EQUIPMENT J'S TINTS AND AUDIO SOLD ME read more

Came here to spend $4,000+. For new door speakers and they replaced an amplifier and other details. After service was done, next day two speakers blew out. They told me it was because the speakers they put in were not powerful enough to keep up with new amplifier and that they had let me know (which was false). I would not have wanted speakers put in that would blow out with new amplifier. They did not want to admit they were in the wrong for installing speakers that would eventually blow out. All they did was replace speakers that blew out with same speakers and lowered my amplifier. Sound is still horrible. They should have pointed me to speakers that were compatible with new amplifier which were only $100-$200 more. I live in Austin and did not want to drive back and forth so I left it at that. Ill take my lost and move on. read more

J's just updated the sound system in my 1973 Cadillac... I have to admit I was nervous: this car is in near-mint condition and I wanted to change out the Cadillac AM/FM Stereo for an authentic Cadillac AM/FM 8-Track Combo Stereo I'd found on Ebay, update the speakers (without anyone being able to tell that they'd been updated), AND add Bluetooth connectivity. Well... I shouldn't have worried. These guys take pride in their work and - while it was a little unusual for them to replace a 47 year old stereo with another 47 year old stereo and integrate mid-20th century technology with 21st century functionality, they took the time to make it work! Everything works perfectly and it looks as if nothing has been altered (it was important to me that the interior appear just as it did when it rolled off the line)!
