Yes Highly we had a counter top unit for our house bulilt 22 years ago formica with cherry wood trim and it still ooks like new. Tight corner cuts that have stood the test of time, wood and formica both. Then we aske d lately for a small cutting board which they made for us ( unknowning who we were) and when they cut it to size and found small cracks in the edge on one side , they did not charge us for it It was cut out of a job / sink cutout extra, but they did not feel it was up to their standards. If you need countertops, I highly recommend this business. We needed some counters for a guest house and so we visited several local shops. Our final stop was Custom Design Countertops and since we already had an idea of what we wanted, it was an easy and fast process to get answers. Brooke was extremely responsive and pleasant. They didn't have a minimum size requirement like most stores and that worked for us since our project was quite small. Brooke emailed us with the estimate promptly and luckily for us, it is a time of the year when things slow down in the construction business so she told us that they could turn our order around pretty quickly. After our dry wall was installed, I had second thoughts about the shade that we originally selected and so we went back to take another look. Since we hadn't ordered yet, we went with a lighter shade to lighten up the house. Brooke was again our contact and she confirmed that they could turn our order around quickly. Several weeks went by and it was now time for counters. Robert came out to our property within two days of our call to do a final measurement. He was right on time and he was fast, very experienced and knowledgeable. Surprisingly, our counters were ready for installation within one week. Pretty unheard of but we were delighted. Robert again came right on time and did a beautiful and expert installation. He also cut out the area for our sink. In addition to the kitchen counter, Robert installed a matching countertop for the linen area. Both areas turned out beautiful and we are forever grateful for Brooke and Robert's expertise. Robert mentioned that he has over three decades of experience and it certainly shows. When it comes time for new countertops, there is no doubt we will be a returning customer. We recently contracted with CDC to remodel our bathroom with a custom cultured marble shower stall and vanity top. We were very pleased with a similar shower stall they put in for us about six years ago. Our experience this time, as before, couldn't have been better. After the very smooth and accommodating estimate process (site visit & detailed bid), we had to delay for several months due to personal reasons. We let CDC know, and they kept everything on file to pick up on when we were able to start the job several months later. They were flexible with our schedule and setting installation dates (working around our contractor's schedule for the demolition of the old shower, and the plumbing) with no delays on their part. During this process they always promptly returned calls and/or emails, and always showed up when they said they would. The quality and craftsmanship of the installation was top notch. Their installers were very experienced, professional, and accommodating to our specifications. The finished product looks even better than expected. Their cleanup was also complete and thorough, even though they stayed overtime to finish this job within one day. read more

This was not a great place to go for cabinets. I spent a month trying to order cabinets from Larry. He never returned calls, and was pompous and unprofessional. This company was recommended by my contractor who had to eventually stall my job because Larry didn't do his job. Both myself and my contractor are not happy about the service here, so we went somewhere else for cabinets. I went to here to talk to them about cabinets for my kitchen. Larry was not only condescending, he sat an bragged about himself for almost 20 minutes strait. He took my drawing and said he would get back to me. After three weeks and numerous phone calls to him , none of which he returned, I never got a final bid. He even told me that he didn't care if he got new business, which was pretty odd in and of itself. So, out of frustration I went elsewhere to purchase my cabinets. All we wanted were new counter tops. Laminate counter tops at that, nothing fancy. But every company we dealt with was a huge headache, from showing up hours late to measure, to initial quotes increasing by several hundreds, to just being rude and unhelpful. We found Custom Design Countertops through a local hardware store which contracts with them to do countertops, although I believe you can go direct. We can't recommend them enough. Their price never changed from the initial quote based on our own measurements, and they were by far the lowest quote we received. The man that came out to do the measurement and template was professional, called us 30 minutes before so we didn't take unnecessary time off work to meet him, gave us his professional advice (which we went with) and was great in general. The office staff we worked with were awesome, responsive and totally on top of things. The installers were great, super fast (early for their appointment, which they called to let us know as well) and the countertops look amazing. Remodeling can be stressful - this company made it easy. Great all around. read more

This place was a treasure to find based on everything else out there. All I needed was a laminate countertop for a base cabinet I wanted to turn into an island. After trying a few local shops and the 2 big box stores, I was frustrated at how complicated this was. They all had "minimum order prices" that were outrageous. But when I called CDC and talked to Cindy, she responded right away with an e-mail quote that was right in my price range. I showed up later that day to look at the finish options and she was right there to answer all my questions, no matter how little money I was spending. She gave me a bunch of samples to take home to show my wife. When I went back a week later with my wife, Cindy stayed with us the whole time and helped us with questions and samples. We picked out a sample they happened to have a cut sheet of, got a killer price and the countertop was ready 2 days later!!! This place is wonderful! We needed two new laminate countertops for our kitchen remodel. Our contractor, The Hand Group, recommended CDC. We found them to be cheerful, professional, and fairly-priced. The person who came to measure was the person who did the installation, so there was absolutely no problem when they were put in. The walls in our kitchen are neither straight nor plumb, but CDC's countertop backsplash is so tight to the wall that caulk was't needed. I was absolutely the only customer in the showroom. There was a man in the showroom area totally focused on his computer. A man and woman were having a conversation in a back area visible to me. Wandered around looking at the various displays for 4-5 minutes. No one even said hello to me. Used their bathroom. Again walked around the showroom for another 3-4 minutes. I went to CDC 3 weeks ago & said I wanted to order smooth surface kitchen countertop. I was referred to Darcie who happened to be in her office that day. After some discussion she wrote up an estimate for me & said the minimum sq' they charge for is 35 sq.' Ok, I understand. I only needed 27'& they have a minimum requirement for an order. The paperwork was written up on Duracite's ( located in Fairfield) proposal form which was confusing to me at the time. Darcie explained that she was in the Santa Rosa office 2 days a week still not explaining that she was not part of CDC. Long story short I cancelled my order for many reasons & if you go to Duracite reviews you'll understand that you'll need to wait 6+ weeks or so for your installation. I hope that CDC understands that this could reflect on them. read more

I hired CDCountertops to fabricate and install cultured marble shower walls in a master bath remodel. I, the homeowner, was acting as the contractor and if owner Mike Deas were to speak candidly, he might express some frustration dealing with my many questions and clarification (as might Megan, one of their superb office staff.) Yet he, as well as the people in the showroom, were always very accommodating, instructive and patient throughout the process. I had a nicely-priced quote for standard tile for the shower walls but decided to go with Custom Design based on their reasonable price and flexibility, and with slab CM because it looks classy and sleek, mates so well with the custom shower pan they fabricated, and cleans up so well: You can dry it off with a few strokes of a shower squeegee and no grout lines to accumulate gunk or mold in years hence. The installers were neat, skilled, punctual, efficient and very concerned about the final "fit" being top notch. Visit their south Santa Rosa showroom for illustrative, very helpful shower mock-ups. You won't be disappointed hiring this quality business for a similar project. read more

I cannot give a review on the quality of their workmanship. I can only say that upon their renovations, the contractor does not take care of the mess they leave on your vehicle...the use of electrical saws outside left a truckload of wood shaving/dust on my vehicle, and they weren't even doing an installation in my unit. When I ask were they going to water-off my vehicle, the contractor stated they didn't have any water. Yet, they had a broom, brush & piece of wood to sweep up wood particles off the sidewalk! However, there is an outside faucet in-between the units. Oops they had no hose. Give me a break!! read more

Wish I could write a great review for this business but in all honesty I cannot. The people I dealt with there were fantastic and couldn't be nicer BUT.Two days prior to installation I was called and told the granite I had ordered was not available.I went to the business and chose 3 others that would do but they were not available either ! I ended up chosing one that I never would have. As I was re choosing I suggested they mark the ones that were not available so no one else would be as frustrated as I was getting. I was preparing my house for sale and running out of time to get it on the market. Real estate was just beginning to move again after 7-8 years and interest rates were low. The installers broke a hole as big as a baseball in my kitchen wall then ripped down the range hood without removing screws.Those screws did damage to my solid oak cabinets on either side.Then they hauled off my 1 year old garbage disposal that was connected to the sink they replaced.Long story longer I had to purchase a new garbage disposal and wait for cabinet refinisher to repair damage and I couldn't wait so repaired hole in sheet rock myself.I took almost 10 days to get things done correctly so I missed our first Open House weekend date and in the ensuing 10 days interest rates climber 1%. I got no discount but they did say " sorry for all the problems" Wasn't really enough for me. read more
