We had to replace our cooktop in our island and despite what we thought was careful measuring on our part the old cut out was too small. I called surface art about cutting the whole to be larger. Surface art was able to fit me into their schedule quickly and did an amazing job. They were prompt and courteous and took special care to minimize (almost eliminate) dust from cutting the manufactured quartz countertop. Two years ago we had countertops installed by Surface Art in Healdsburg. The people were great to work with and the installers were fast, cheerful and provided precision installation. Several days ago I went to speak to them about a seam that was really visible. It is well past my warrantee, but they said they'd send someone out to take a look. Two of the original installers arrived today. Not only did they fix the seam, but they went above and beyond by re-caulking the entire sink area. They were again fast and cheerful and careful with foot coverings and face masks. If you want to 'stay local' and get a quality product installed by quality people, I definitely recommend Surface Art. read more

You will find that it is a word commonly used by different customers to describe the work at Surface Art. Let me explain: Everyone on the team performed first rate from initial contact, having a compelling selection of stone tops, timely attention to my project, very organized requirements for the cabinet install job, thoughtful design of the top and back splash and meticulous attention to detail on the installation of the counter top. I was particularly pleased with the skillful install that Jesus did on the counter top. Ward's Tile Works brought the shower tile work out about a half inch beyond what Surface Art initially measured. The "as measured" counter top would not fit. Jesus, the installer carefully cut a perfect 3/8" round into the counter's corner to make an amazing fit! When he installed the counter, it appears as if that custom corner was all part of the plan. He also did a fine job of setting two piece back splash onto my wonky wall. The wall has a bow in middle. This was discovered by the guy who did the initial design and measurements. Surface Art cut the back splash in half so that the bends and curves in the wall do not show - and of course, he matched the cement to the join the two pieces so perfectly that trying to find the seam is an exercise in how good one's eyes are... and no one will ever see it unless they are clued in that there actually is a seam. Surface Art's billing process is also painless. They use QuickBooks so that one may pay the bill by selecting the "pay" button in the email which takes the customer to the Intuit website for credit card payment. Very nice. read more

Although they were very busy, they were flexible with us on a measurement date. Yuan came out and spent several hours building an exact model using balsa wood. He is a real craftsman. On installation day, we were very happy that Yuan was back with a team of 2 others. They worked together well and got the job done and it looks stunning. Been meaning to write this review of the Surface Art team. We had new countertops installed in late 2014 and for some reason the counters were extremely porous and liquids and oils were not being resisted by the surface. Mark and his team spent countless hours sealing and resealing our counters and was prepared to install new surfaces if ours did not corporate. Good news - our counters look fantastic and are working as they should. From my first visit to their showroom dealing with Chris and Raquel who were extremely helpful in the selection process to the templates done by Jose and the finished Quartzite Island countertop and the other quartz countertops done by Marc and the team that did the installation everyone was very professional, caring and a pleasure to work with. My island was 11 feet long and I eventually found the stone slab from a company that was not on their "preferred supplier" list but Christine was very helpful and set things in motion to get the slab I wanted right away. I had two under mount sinks in the kitchen and one in the bath and they all look like they are all one piece with the quartz I picked out for the those counter tops.
