Top notch, professional service…read more Seider came recommended by both our realtor and the former owner of our home. Unfortunately, our first interaction came due to near carbon monoxide poisoning. We awoke in the wee hours if the am to the lights and sirens of the fire dept arriving because our CO monitors had gone off. Seider was quick to arrived during a huge snowstorm with an emergency weekend call. The corrected a disconnected outlet/exhaust from.our boiler, and were prompt with arranging a follow up service call to correct the issue that caused the exhaust to come off. An issue with the sparking mechanism was causing gas to build up in the unit, from what I could gather. Our technician seems knowledgeable about our unit, and had all of the parts and tools he needed to diagnose and repair it. The prices seemed fair, things were explained well and a detailed invoice was provided. Despite high demand during a major storm, they were able to correct our immediate safety issue in a timely fashion. We felt well cared for, and would definitely use them again.

Addition - After Making this post, the Owner did reach out…read moreto me and apologized for the actions of some of the other employees, refunded more then half of the money, and came and fixed the electrical to that which was originally agreed to. The Owner Made it Right. Notes to the Owner: Bart that showed up today, was professional. He was Apologetic for what had happened up until this point. And cleaned up the previous mess that had even been left by Joe and Dan. This is how management should have been, and should be. Even when Ben (The master electrician/Manager showed up today) he was making excuses for his actions. That too many people message him and it's easy to forget about something. This isn't the paying customer's problem. If you make a promise to a customer, and you don't keep it, you've messed up. Original Post - If you want timely response. Don't use Seider. If you want the work done that was agreed to. Don't use Seider. If you want Employees Fighting in your house. Don't use Seider. I have had a series of interactions that left me not really wanting to work with the company. After Rude employees, unprofessional behavior, and taking forever to get me scheduled, I would recommend going to another business. First interaction was fairly strange and unprofessional. I was contacted after submitting a form, asking me to reach out to schedule service with Ben, their master electrician, on August 3rd. Upon reaching out to him, I was questioned as to why I was calling this number, who gave me the number, and didn't help schedule. I had to reach back out to the scheduling person that told me to call Ben to get it on the calendar. I had a guy come out for the initial investigation on Friday August 7th, and was told that I can call over to get it scheduled, and they will make it a priority, because the electricity was out in my bathroom. Upon calling to try and get scheduled, the scheduling person stated they would need his paper work in order to schedule me, and they would reach out on Monday. He asked me at that time if I wanted my bathrooms vanity light and the fan and heating lamp on seperate switches, which I stated yes. They didn't. I waited giving the company benefit of the doubt (Employee stated they were fairly busy). Friday the 14th of August I reached out for an update, got the run around because the scheduling person wasn't there. I had to call back again, and again, and again, before they FINALLY got back to me August 24th (17 Days later --- WOOO Priority) to get me scheduled for September 1st. The two guys that were working on my house on September 1st were shouting at eachother, calling eachother names, criticizing what and how they were doing the work, one of them threatened to stab the other, threw things down the stairs, and didn't install the vanity light and fan and heating lamp on seperate switches. I rarely leave bad reviews without talking to management, and attempted to get this fixed. They stated they would get back to me that same day about a resolution (IE, either some money back or getting the switch situation fixed.) That was September 2nd. One of the two employees (Joe) Called back to apologize for his less then professional attitude the day of, but As of today (September 14th - almost two weeks later) Management still has not done anything to resolve the issue.

Very disappointed messaged them many times to get my central air units up and running for 2026…read morecause they put them in 2025 but couldn't finish the job due to electric issues but that all should have been checked out prior to even talking about central air units. Now I have hire another company to get my units up in running. Plus hire a lawyer for them not finishing what they started. Very disappointed.

Ordered a 2-stage Goodman furnace with ductwork (moving the unit more central to better distribute…read morethe load to rooms) and later decided to add on a humidifier on the supply side. Prices are generally lower than the competition overall, no issues there. Briar (the one that does the quote) was polite. No problem there. But the installation had issues. First, they promised "Next Day Install" - but when the tech showed up he said they were out of stock of the unit. Which means another day's delay. It's one day, I wasn't sweating it, but they shouldn't advertise something they can't deliver. Tech does a walk through and says, quote, "yep, pretty straightforward, should be easy." Well, it wasn't. Should have been, but wasn't. It took the installer basically two full days to complete the work and by the near end, he was clearly rushing and frustrated over points he was getting stuck at. I offered to help with the ducting (he basically cut it to the wrong size. Not sure how that happened and why he didn't just cut a larger piece because he had tons of spare material, but I digress), and he said, quote, "you can't help me with this." (it's just pulling back the existing trunk a bit so he could fit his piece in. It's on hangars and he only needed a half an inch. This was his ego getting in the way, so he made himself struggle for 30 minutes rather than accept help from the homeowner.) PVC not properly glued ( and as a result the combustion pipe was loose and rotating outside), ductwork not installed straight, loose wiring hanging, A/C not reconnected, bare basic done on the humidifier water line, sloppy sealant, gaps not taped over, unclean runs, etc. By the end of day 1 I had basic furnace use, but he hadn't done any of the duct work. Day 1 was just the basic furnace itself. Day 2 he didn't install new hangers until I called him out, and the section he aded is not straight. They neglected to tell the electrician about the outlet/switch box on the side (if you're going to install a new furnace, that's kind of a given that you need to leave things the way they were). I paid the guy out of pocket because it wasn't fair to him, but basically Huffman dropped the ball on him. I was on the verge of giving them the water heater business but it took Briar too long to reply with the quote so I gave it to the plumber that installed the copper lines. That plumber is who identified the PVC issue, and even fixed it for free since they were working near it anyway. They also redid his water line connection from a needle valve punctured into the existing hot line, hanging under the joists (has not been code compliant for years) to a proper quarter turn shutoff valve from a new pipe branch that rises above the joist line. The plumber had to do a new gas line for his work just like Huffman had to do a new line for theirs, and the plumber's work is much cleaner than Huffman's installer. Huffman's line is not in any way attached to joists or walls or anything, just suspended midair, while the plumber made sure to do J-hooks and properly secure the gas line; then add a second shutoff valve upstream. When I reported the install issues with Briar he never replied, but the installer came back out and at least corrected the A/C not being plugged in. But neither could tell me about the permit or inspection - which implies they didn't request either. A huge problem if they didn't. Bottom line: if you just want the cheapest price, Huffman is absolutely it. And Goodman is a good brand. It's a quiet unit, it's a powerful unit that completely resolved my issues with inconsistent upstairs performance vs. downstairs, with a significantly quieter blower for the return vents. I have nothing but good things to say about the unit so far. However...if you're one of those homeowners that want quality, or you care about the visual of the install, or code compliance, or efficiency/speed, or accuracy of cuts...look elsewhere.

I called Gross Heating on Monday to have someone come out asap. I was told Wednesday morning was the soonest they could make it. I was reluctant to call another company because in the past I had a bad experience with another. The last time Gross came out, they did a great job, so I called them back and said okay to Wednesday. They said they could actually send someone out Tuesday, late in the afternoon. The technician came out and apologized, saying this job may take more time than we have today and run into a lot of overtime. So, a new appointment was set up with another tech for Wednesday morning. In a way I'm glad this happened because the new tech was excellent in every way. He had the part I needed on his truck and had everything completed at noon. While he was there, our daughter called saying you won't believe this, but my boiler stopped working and I have no heat. Gross had anticipated the tech would be at my house the entire day. I asked if we could go over to her house to take a look at her boiler. Gross said okay, so off we went. She needed a new pump motor, which luckily he also had on his truck. In conclusion, both of our heating systems were fixed in the same day and at what I feel was a reasonable price. I trust Gross Heating and wouldn't use anyone else.

The owner, Randy responded to my emergency call where we determined I didn't need an immediate service call. The next morning Mike , the technician, repaired the damage and even tried to determine the squirrels entrance point. BTW, the squirrel lived!!

I had a clogged upper duplex kitchen sink. A handyman had tried to fix it with a 25' snake but couldn't fix it. Capitol heating guy spent some time and came to me with an update. He said I qualified for "level something package" totaling $2300!!!!!! Said I needed some machine that "would blow out" the problem, and a special free add-on would be a camera picture of pipes etc. he said more experienced guys would need to do it - and said if it didn't work next step is opening walls to get at pipes. Sheesh! Still dealing with aftereffects of the great flood! I said yes against my better judgement. As I waited for the new crew to arrive, I began questioning this decision. When they came, I asked about details of this package, and warranty. The guy couldn't give me a straight answer. Ive never had a plumber give a "package" before - it was always get in, diagnose, and ball park a quote. So I said I was uncomfortable with the fee and package. Got the boss on the phone, Vince, who talked in circles. Did I mention they also wanted to sell a subscription membership for my heating system? Vince continued to argue with me to coerce me to do the package. I decided at that moment this had to be a con. I am 67 with white hair and the tactics feel like senior fraud. Thumbtack had referred me to them for clogged drain - couldn't see any reason on their website why they say they're in the plumbing business. I paid a $49 trip charge. Got a referral from ChatGPT to ABC Pipe Cleaning - the guy was here and fixed it within 30 minutes. About $175.00. 30 day guarantee. Now that's what I'm talking about.
