Parker seems to commit to jobs that either he is unable to finish properly or may not have the experience to complete correctly. I hired them to build a pool equipment wall with a gate, but there were several issues with the installation. The piece mounted to the brick wall was left loose, and the gate hinges were installed incorrectly. The patio cover itself was installed well, and I was happy with that portion of the work. However, tile around the base was damaged during the installation. I was told it would be repaired, but months later, it still has not been fixed. They also installed a sheer descent water feature. They had difficulty completing that portion of the project properly, and the overall execution felt amateur. The water pipe for the sheer descent is still visible and needs to be covered with additional Alumawood to properly finish the installation. Communication and follow-through have also been a major issue. I have had to constantly reach out to Parker myself for updates rather than being kept informed. On multiple occasions, he told me he would come out to address the outstanding work and then simply did not show up. After months of waiting, there are still items that have not been completed. Parker was hired through USTurf, another company I have unfortunately had issues with during this project. I genuinely wanted to have a positive experience with both companies, and I have been extremely patient and given them plenty of opportunities to make things right. I understand that issues can come up on a project, but it is not acceptable for relatively simple repairs and unfinished items to drag on for months, especially when appointments are made and then missed without follow-through. As of the time I am writing this review, the work is still not fully completed and the outstanding issues have not been resolved. Based on my experience, the biggest concerns have been workmanship on certain parts of the project, communication, and ultimately following through on commitments.

Our west-facing upstairs room off the balcony gets direct full sun and cooked like a ceramic kiln in the summer. AC could never keep up. I wanted shade for the room and a covered respite where I could sit and enjoy a breeze without risk of spontaneously combusting in my lounge chair. I contacted seven companies and most didn't want to do it, while others would but tried to steer me away from getting city permits (BIG red flag...you don't want to bypass this step, because an unpermitted structure attached to your home is likely not properly engineered and both a legal liability and a major dent to your home's value if you ever sell). I gave up and figured it just wasn't doable, until my wife showed me an ad for this company. Armando met with us and walked us through options, designs, colors, tradeoffs, and the overall process. He installed these for years before starting his own company, so you have a business owner who understands every detail about your project from design to installation, what will work and what won't, and can offer insight to things you might never think about. Armando pulled our house blueprints from the county, coordinated engineering, and obtained the required city permits. Note: The actual cost for engineering and permits was refreshingly reasonable because he doesn't inflate those costs. In fact, the cost was actually LESS than the companies that wanted us to skip the permits. The project then commenced. The crew opened up the balcony floor and reinforced the internal framing to support the weight of patio cover posts and hold them in place for when those insane winds rip across the valley. If not properly anchored, high winds impart on the roof the same lift effect that enables airplanes to fly...yet another reason to engineer and permit your project. They then patched, textured, and repainted the ENTIRE balcony floor and it looked even better than before they started. The patio cover roof attaches to the house frame structure and they handled the re-stucco work, et al. We couldn't be happier with the final result. It looks great and the room is significantly cooler during the day. It also didn't budge during the recent wind storms. Now to answer the question, "Would I call on this company again?" The answer is "yes," and I already have. I'll upload photos for Phase 2 when that project is completed.
