And I got more for my money meaning the Patio I ended up with was actually bigger than the other estimates and was insulated!!! Trish was so easy to work. We bounced off Ideas with each other and she and the Supervisor Adel worked with me all the way through the build process which resulted in a Patio way better than I imagined! We had an awful experience with another company and were really worried about finding someone honest and reputable. We saw a friend's yard and we were so impressed that we asked for details on which company did the work. We spoke with Kalian at Advantage based on the recommendation and we were immediately impressed with her knowledge and kindness. We met with Ken the following week and he walked the property with me making suggestions. Ken definitely has a great eye for landscaping. Matt was also great, helping us on a daily basis with the logistics and giving his opinion on how to make the area shine. His prices were within reason for the scope of the project (unlike the other company we had hired, whose project/contract price was almost 3 times the estimate of the project AFTER we paid the deposit). The final result was incredible, but what really stood out was the entire experience working with Advantage. They truly listened to what we wanted, took our ideas seriously, and also brought their own creative vision and expertise to the project. The team went above and beyond to help us make our entire yard perfect, paying attention to every detail and making the whole process smooth and enjoyable. They don't honor their contracts, they make appointments and never show up. Their solution (over the phone) is $5,000.00 for "upgraded panels"! The problem is not the panels, it's the horrible installation that has NO pitch, so the water has no where to go except pooling in the center causing the panels to belly out and pull away from the beams. $22,000.00 for carport that leaks like a sieve! TOTAL WASTE OF $22k Find a company that will stand behind its products and not blame the customer!!! Perfect Home is not honest or trustworthy! Finding a company that can properly construct a patio cover on a second story balcony is very…read moredifficult, so allow me to save you some time: Call Las Vegas Outdoor Shade and Patio. Our west-facing upstairs room off the balcony gets direct full sun and cooked like a ceramic kiln in the summer. AC could never keep up. I wanted shade for the room and a covered respite where I could sit and enjoy a breeze without risk of spontaneously combusting in my lounge chair. I contacted seven companies and most didn't want to do it, while others would but tried to steer me away from getting city permits (BIG red flag...you don't want to bypass this step, because an unpermitted structure attached to your home is likely not properly engineered and both a legal liability and a major dent to your home's value if you ever sell). I gave up and figured it just wasn't doable, until my wife showed me an ad for this company. Armando met with us and walked us through options, designs, colors, tradeoffs, and the overall process. He installed these for years before starting his own company, so you have a business owner who understands every detail about your project from design to installation, what will work and what won't, and can offer insight to things you might never think about. Armando pulled our house blueprints from the county, coordinated engineering, and obtained the required city permits. Note: The actual cost for engineering and permits was refreshingly reasonable because he doesn't inflate those costs. In fact, the cost was actually LESS than the companies that wanted us to skip the permits. The project then commenced. The crew opened up the balcony floor and reinforced the internal framing to support the weight of patio cover posts and hold them in place for when those insane winds rip across the valley. If not properly anchored, high winds impart on the roof the same lift effect that enables airplanes to fly...yet another reason to engineer and permit your project. They then patched, textured, and repainted the ENTIRE balcony floor and it looked even better than before they started. The patio cover roof attaches to the house frame structure and they handled the re-stucco work, et al. We couldn't be happier with the final result. It looks great and the room is significantly cooler during the day. It also didn't budge during the recent wind storms. Now to answer the question, "Would I call on this company again?" The answer is "yes," and I already have. I'll upload photos for Phase 2 when that project is completed.
