Repairs are really just so-so, I've had much better quality at lower prices. The biggest problem is the shopkeeper and his manners. The arrogance he displays is as if he's the only one who's ever worked on shoes before. It's plain not worth putting up with, as the work does not justify the bad attitude. I can't believe that the owner of this business just refused to redo my shoes after 2 months. He did a very poor job and, to make it worse, he said that my Ferragamos are FAKE!! Man, you must be the stupidest business owner out there to say something like that. Then, after telling him that he just offended me for saying that, he opened his drawer, refunded me $15 after he charged me $37 to glue a side. I have been a customer for years. Irregular hours, high prices and a bad attitude. I have utilized the shop several times through the years for shoe repair. The prices were always on the high side, but he did good work and I appreciate small businesses, so I overlooked the negatives. Recently I went into have a shoe repaired. I am a flight attendant so I wear black shoes often and have them polished regularly at the airport, but since I was making a trip to the shop anyway, so as an afterthought, I thought would compare the polish and the price and I took a pair of work shoes along with me. When I arrived, I asked how much it would be to polish my work shoes. When he told me it was $16. I usually pay $6 at the airport, so that would not have been a good choice for me since I am in on a budget. I replied, with thanks, but I'd just hold off on that, and polish them at work, BUT the real reason I came in was I do have a pair of shoes that would require your expertise. The owner of the shop looked at me and sarcastically said "why don't you just have those repaired at work too? I don't need your business here". I sincerely thought he was kidding, so I looked at him for clarification and reminded him, I am a flight attendant. I'm at the airport all the time and typically have my shoes polished there. I just wanted to compare the price since I was coming here anyway, and that I had been a repeat, loyal customer for repairs. He responded, "Thats OK I don't need your business." Everyone has a right to feel the way they do, but Ken is needlessly rude, and apparently does not tolerate customers having shoes POLISHED elsewhere. The owner is so friendly and his attention to detail on your repair is what gives this place a 5 Star! From heel repairs and scuffed leathers...my shoes come out in tip top shape after the repairs. I brought my broken heel in today and he quickly repaired it on the spot and buffed my shoes. As I waited, I looked around his shop and saw the 2018 Yelp certificates. I dropped off slipcovers for an ottoman and 2 seat cushions, specifying they be DRY CLEANED ONLY (care instructions by Ethan Allen). When I picked them up after completion, the fabric felt "rough" and the finish completely different. Lo and behold, when I go to put them back on the ottoman and seats, they will not fit! They have been completely shrunken. When I took the pieces back and reported this, I was told that they had NOT been washed - however, when I asked if dry cleaning could have made them shrink, was told "no", which doesn't make any sense. Owner didn't even offer any solution (full or even partial credit, trying to stretch the fabric, nothing.) Needless to say, we won't ever be patronizing this establishment again. Brought in 2 shoes one was a pair of riding boots with a deep scuff and one was a pair of wedges both belong to my wife. When I dropped them off I wasn't told that he didn't believe he'd be able to repair them. I came in today to pick them up to find a piss poor polishing job that didn't even polish the top of the riding boot and the heal of the wedge was replaced. $53 dollars for a piss poor shoe shine and absolutely nothing done to repair the boots is ridiculous. The owner/guy who helped me, Ken, was very nice and did the work in the time he stated and for the price he stated; I could also tell that he has a lot of loyal customers. I am just disappointed in the work. I brought in a D&B backpack to have a leather strap repaired. As it turns out, he was unable to get the strap back into its original place and I feel that he should have called me to let me know so I had the chance to pick it up and take it somewhere else. He "fixed" it and went through the bag's lining (which I knew he was going to do) but the lining color is a lime green and he used white and black thread to sew up the hole he made. I feel that he should have matched the color or at least tried to match the color. Again, just disappointing. I am currently trying to find another place to redo the work if possible. I don't plan on going back. He does have a lot of great reviews which is why I tried him. read more

Found Custom Shoe Repair online and with the rave reviews I decided to give it a try and took 5 pairs of shoes in on a Saturday for repair. I wasn't in a hurry for them to be back but to my surprise I received a text Tuesday afternoon that they were ready for pickup. With his early morning hours I drove by on my way to work Wednesday morning and was pleasantly surprised by how great they all looked. Disappointed is an under statement, he over sold his ability to put a protective sole on my brand new Valentino shoes(he kept saying he works on these kind of shoes all the time) needless to say; I picked up my shoes and was horrified, I took them home before saying anything just to compare them to other shoes i had done in the past I then called to let him know that the soles really look bad; he pretty much offered no alternative(kept the $47), and just said; sorry you don't like it, that is how i do it all the time.
