I needed my dance heels patched around the straps because my pinky toe would pop out of the straps while dancing, and the man working (wish I got his name) patched it up in minutes. And he matched the color of the patch to the shoe so it blended in well. Really fast and reliable work! Will definitely come back again read more

My loving puppy did a number on a nice pair of black leather dress shoes I had gotten overseas. Instead of throwing them out, I was recommended to take them to a local shoe repair store. I dropped them off in mid-December and was given a ticket that said they would be ready by the end of the week. "Wow!" I thought, "Sounds great." I came back at the end of the week, as instructed, and the guy said that he needed to order the leather to do the work and he said he would call when they were done. Annoyed, I left. Weeks became months. I called to query the status and he asked for my ticket number, which I didn't have. He said to call back when I found the number, which I didn't have. Another month passed, I had found the ticket number, called them back, was put on hold for a long time, and was told that they were done and ready to be picked up, but they "forgot" to call me. The repair itself was good, but I would not recommend this service. read more

Okay so might have rage written the last review. Changing to a 5 star since the couple that owns this store are beyond kind and the craftsmanship on my resoled leather boots was phenomenal. I paid $50 for a stacked leather sole on my Wolverine 1000 Miles and Esperanza delivered! Will be returning in the future to have my leather items reconditioned. 10/10 read more

On 09/17 I dropped my leather purse off here after my dog chewed through one of the handles. Online it says they do that kind of thing. I suppose I shouldn't have brought a bag to a shoe repair but you live and learn. I was told it would be a week and would be done 09/24. I paid $20 and left. Next week, I called first as I live about 25 minutes away. Purse wasn't ready. Okay whatever they told me maybe 09/29. I called that day nobody picked up. I waited until 10/02 over two weeks later, called and was told to give them an hour to finish it. I came in and tried to hide my emotions after he put leather conditioner on it and I realized the new straps they added were significantly thinner, flimsier and absolutely not the same color leather as the rest of the purse AT ALL. This is a $200 bag that I was trying to salvage and they made it so much worse. I seriously almost cried as I recently lost my job and do not have the money to replace this bag but now when I look at it I just get so upset. I always like supporting small businesses if I can. The employee I dealt with was very nice and price was reasonable. It just seamed like a rushed job to get me to stop bothering them and quality control was just non existent. Sad. read more

Terrible terrible shoe place I took in my white converses that were dirty, And had mild yellow staining in the back area of the shoe I asked the guy if you can clean it for me and he said yes he would charge $16 to clean the whole shoe He said it would take about a week to do so. So when I came back within a week I went to pick up the shoes and they were worse than I drop them off Sure they looked white but the yellow staining went all around the shoe Not to mention he did not even clean the laces for me I asked him if he can take out the yellow stain he said that that's impossible But yet when I first went there he said that he can take it off shouldn't be a problem. It was recommended I bring my shoes here when the manufacture, Allen Edmonds was unable to recraft the shoes. I dropped the shoes off to get new soles and heels. They said they should be ready a week later. I paid the $50 ahead. When I called to check 1 week and a day later they were ready for pickup. I wish I had before pictures but there was a hole in the sole and the heels were wore down. Not to mention the tops were polished and still look new a week later. The bottom is a little scuffed as I've been walking around with them all week. I'll be bringing more shoes here, very happy with the service and quality. read more

This is a very poorly run business. I asked to get a shoe shine on a pair of mens dress shoes. They wanted $12 and a five day lead time. I agreed and expected a good shine for the cost and reliable completion since it was going to take five business days. When I came back to pick them up they weren't done, they couldn't find them using the ticket and weren't sure what they were supposed to be doing to them but they would find them and complete the job by the next day. When I came back the shoes still weren't done, they still couldn't find them and thought they were repairing the sole but they would have them in five minutes. Lacking any trust whatsoever I asked them to give me my shoes and my $12 back and I would give them a poor review. They didn't care and they had too much business to worry about it. Be forewarned...if you do business here you're at their mercy. read more

Brought in a severely torn-up Nike basketball backpack because I mistakenly placed my textbooks in there. Ripped out all the netting inside the bag and the complete bottom stitches torn off. I took my bag to Esperanza shoe repair. He warned me beforehand that he was very backed up. Just got back the bag today and it looks brand new: the netting was meticulously corrected and the bottom stitching looks like it came out of the factory. It did take a while, but any business that is busy is a reflection of its quality. I was in no rush to get it back. Price was very reasonable. Mr. Esperanza is very polite and straightforward. Hopefully no shoes or bags of mine are broken, but if they are, I will know where to bring them. read more

What a disappointment. I originally found this business on yelp (somehow it mysteriously disappeared after i found it) and went there because the soles on my boots had started coming undone. When I got there the guy, Luis, told me that I would have to replace the whole sole on both boots to be safe. Not what I wanted but okay, i bit the bullet and said sure. Then, he only had one type of sole available. Mind you, i've had my soles replaced on different boots before but i needed these done soon so I again bit the bullet and said sure. Now, that should have been enough for me to walk away but again, i needed the boots for work sooner than later. I leave my boots there and the guy tells me it'll take a week (just in time for when I needed them so that was okay). A week goes by and I hear nothing so I call and they say the boots wont be ready for another couple days. That not we agreed upon and he makes me a deal for only paying for labor and not the soles. Okay, do it. In the mean time, i go out and buy another pair of boots because I need them ASAP now. In total, about 5 weeks go by before i can go pick up the boots at the shop. When I get there, he has trouble finding my boots. Finally does and brings them up front......i can see the glue run off all around the edges. He says "let me clean them up and polish them for you". He takes them to the back and I can hear a buffer wheel at work. When he comes back, the boots are nice and pretty but i can see he just covered up the glue with polish. At this point I'm fed up and I just take them as is. $50 for labor?! I just pay it and leave. At least I have my boots back and I can use them......or so I thought. Apperantly, the only soles he had were sized a size or two too small because when I put them on, my boots feel super tight on my feet. These boots used to fit me great, not loose and not tight, damn near perfect. Now, I can't even wear them, let alone walk around in them. So, now I'm out a great pair of boots, the price of the boots I paid and the price of the "labor" this store did to produce this crap. What a huge let down for me. I don''t know how they are with other things, but I saw a lot of people with different pairs of shoes and bags there and I honestly don't know how they are happy with their items. I'm disappointed and am definitely not going back. Try this place at your own risk. read more
