A friend of mine brought me her car to do a few upgrades (star light headliner and audio install) and after 30 days of purchasing a kill switch and having it installed at Custom Sounds, she began to not have ignition signal. After checking all fuses, relays and voltage, I traced their wiring from the kill switch to a shotty installed relay behind the dash that was poorly soldered and just smothered in tape. The wire was broken and causing an inconsistent short, resulting in a loss of signal. Poor wiring management, poor soldering and lack of knowledge on their end with their install work. Avoid this this shop at all cost because this could've been a potential fire hazard or even left stranded out of town / state. read more

Do not come here! They don't care about you. They just want your money unfortunately. I got an alarm system installed. Long story short they installed it wrong. Warning lights on dashboard (looking like Christmas) and buttons to my car do not function such as sunroof, windows, locks, doors..etc. i took it to the dealership and after they found out what was wrong with it I gave customs sounds and tint a call. They deny everything and they did not want to give me a refund, or pay for my damages which came out to 3,200 DOLLARS! They also didn't want to reinstall it for free. They refused everything. Worst experience ever! Brought my truck here to get my audio upgraded, spending thousands Of dollars, left unsatisfied.... brought it back two other times to get it fixed as i purchased warranties, made appointments.. they kept my truck all day both time to be picked up and still sound the same... finally i took it to another shop to get it checked out and to find out how much of a shitty job they did on my install!!! My tweeters were mounted with duck tape, all extra wiring just rolled up in a ball and thrown underneath the carpet under the dash, more wiring just shoved behind my steering wheel column, static noise coming from my speakers that they could never fix or give me answers..... to think i was gonna get a professional job done from a big well known audio shop!!! This location built a completely new building and looks really nice. The problem is their technician apparently don't know what they are doing when it comes to tint. I had one vehicle tinted and they had to redo my back window three times because they kept positioning the tint incorrectly. Then today, I am coming in for the second time because another vehicle I had the two front windows tinted, was scratched and smudged. They re-tint it and guess what? More scratches. Now this vehicle Is being re-tinted 3 times. On top of everything, the Manager and staff could care less. read more

They may solder your wire connections but that is about it when it comes to customer service with these guys. This is the worst managed business I have ever dealt with. I had to return a few times for them to fix their work. For example: - Left my a/c disconnected when they installed an aftermarket head unit - Accused me of tampering with their install when I brought it back due to their installer thinking he could wing it instead of researching the proper way to install the box. - Left work incomplete hoping I wouldn't check. - Drilled unnecessary hole to exterior through firewall and left me to find it and ask them to remedy the situation, to which they used fireproof caulk to plug the hole. I've had work done here on three of my vehicles. Custom Sounds does great work. They mean it when they say they do better work than big box stores. Custom Sounds repaired some work fouled up by a big box store (let's just say the big box store has the word "Best" in its name). I haven't had a problem with it since. Of course you get what you pay for. Custom Sounds is pretty expensive. If you want good quality work, it's a good place to go, but be prepared to spend a lot of money. read more

First off I have to hand it down to this hardworking team for not only getting my car done on time but taking care in making it clean after the process as well. I particularly want to write this review for the manager Marco. You see, Marco went completely out of his way to make my experience amazing. Went to buy a Apple car play screen for my 2013 Rav 4 and he made sure everything was set up perfect! Upon my arrival he realized one of the team members didn't mention my backup camera was missing with the new dash. Knowing it was important to me he completely wiped the dept of the cover cost for it and did the labor and repairs within 30 min! I got to give my hat off to such a hardworking young man who genuinely cares for the customers walking in and treats them like they're family. I went in to this location to just get new subs replaced in my current box, when I left I was not at all happy with the sound since I had been sold some of the best subs, When I called and told the manager Pearsy (not sure on spelling) he told me to come back in and they would check it out right away, turns out my old box was falling apart in a few places so he recommended a new box, since that wasn't my original plan I got a awesome discount and he ran to another location to get the right box for my right away, no waiting around or come back again tomorrow, they put me in their top priority to get my car sounding amazing. Now my subs are louder, stronger, and cleaner sounding than ever before. WORST EXPERIENCE I came in for a quote on installation of speakers and a head unit in my car. I was quoted $300 total (which was still pretty high considering I had all the parts to make installation easier for them). I was also assured that their installers are very experienced on foreign cars and wouldn't have a problem. I had my appointment for 10 and was told it would be done by 2. They were supposed to call me 30 minutes before it's done so I could pick it up. By 5 they hadn't called me yet so I called them and they said it would be done by 7. I got there at 6:30 and it wasn't done until 8. We went out to go listen to the speakers and they sounded HORRIBLE. The employee tells me "Yea they just aren't good speakers." These were the same speakers I had in my old truck and they sounded amazing. I was pretty irritated and they were already closed at this point so I paid and left. Later that night I go to get the box's out of my car and notice the installer didn't put back my door panel! I call back the next day and we decided to remove the speakers and get new ones. Once they took them out they immediately realized they were the wrong size. They should've never installed them in the first place knowing they were the wrong size. Originally they wanted me to pay the full $300 to install the new pair. So I called the regional manager and made a deal $50 to take out and $50 to install the new ones. A week later I came back in to get my new speakers installed and to my surprise they took double the amount of time they told me to finish. Then tried charging me $250 for this install. I had to call the regional manager again to inform the employees it's only $50. After my last install i noticed my speaker cover was broken and glued back together! Looks horrible and didn't bother to tell me hoping I wouldn't see it. Brandon one of the employees was very helpful and the only good part about this place. He understood how much they messed up. Great service and quality equipment. But if you are told that you can come back with a cable that they did not have in stock and they would install it free of charge, make sure you get it in writting. Granted they gave me a discount off of the $55 install fee, but went in with said cable expecting not to have to pay anything and wound up paying for the install. Chalk it up to lesson learned. Avoid at all cost!!! The most unprofessional group of employees I have ever dealt with. Left my car at 11:30am on Sunday for window tinting, was informed that it was going to be ready by 6:00pm, employee called at 6:30pm to tell me car was going to be ready between 9-9:30pm. Did not receive a call so I decided to drive to location around 9:30pm, store was closed, but the technician that was working on my car was on the premises, I asked him if the car was ready and he informed me that he took a break and car was not going to be ready until the next morning and no one was at the store anyways. I could not believe that no one notified me my vehicle was not going to be ready until the next day, affecting my ability to go to work the next day. My wife picked up my car the next day and no one apologized for the inconvenience or for the lack of communication (lies) we went through. If any manager of this business is reading this, you should be ashamed of how your employees are treating the customers read more

Has some small issues with my custom system they installed in my 2000 Chevy Silverado, I called them up and they asked when I could bring it in that day I told them not until after I got off work which is 6:00. I get there around 6:30 and they make the time for me right away and stayed the extra hours to get the issues fixed. These guys really go out of their way to keep their customers satisfied.
