Cheap, cheap, cheap! The new owner is nothing more than a Charlatan!…read more I ordered a bathroom vanity and matching cabinet in July. I asked and pointed at the cabinets in the kitchen. Simple little wood cabinets. My home is a vintage 1941 craftsman bungalow with original wood floors, French doors and pretty casings around all the doors and windows. I am using all the original vintage tub, sink and toilet. At our meeting in Aug., I asked about materials as I wanted wood cabinets and natural materials were very important to me. He said alder. I heard wood. What I got was oversized cabinets made of cheap materials with pressed wood, particle and peg board with shoddy predrilled holes and full of chemicals holding them together with glue and staples for the drawers. It looks like Scott found the materials in the bone yard and slammed together in 3 days. The installation is so shoddy as there are 6" mismatch strips holding the cabinets to the wall. They're drilled into the wall, missed the studs and drilled more holes leaving all kinds of extra unsightly holes. They notched one of mismatched 6" strips to fit over an electrical plate on the wall. A complete joke! It's a ridiculously sloppy and shoddy notch. Because there are no backs to the cabinets, it leaves large gaps between them and the walls. The doors are fake and heavy made with pressed sawdust and glue. The hinges are huge and slam shut and rattle the little house! Beforehand and since the initial order in July, I made several phone calls inquiring about the cabinets as I also had, plumbers, electricians, fabricator and tiler lined up behind the cabinets. On Nov.18, I called and Scott said, '2-3 more weeks' and he hadn't contacted the fabricator for the natural granite piece. He thought it better to contact the fabricator instead of me. 3 days later, Scott called and said the cabinets were done and being delivered on the 25th that he did not speak to the fabricator and made the decision himself. The day before Thanksgiving, a crew came and installed the cabinets. They were speedy and in and out within 30 minutes. I wrote a check for $1,376.68. I had never seen the cabinets before, no pictures as they were rushed in before a long holiday weekend. The following Monday (30th), I called to asked about my cabinets, could they altered 2"? Scott immediately went on the defense and said 'they'd fall apart' if altered. As the customer, I asked about the doors and hinges and told him I was disappointed with the materials he used. It was not what I ordered and too big and do not fit my home. I wanted wood cabinets like the kitchen ones! Scott was still on the defensive and said 'they were the most expensive hinges' and they didn't come with backs and he didn't make cabinets like my kitchen. He went on about how much money he lost on my project already. All his lame excuses ticked me off along with junk he slammed in a day before a long holiday. I was being very polite at the time and he still hung up me. I sent him a letter stating my concerns and this was not the quality of custom cabinets I ordered, expected and paid for. He wrote me back saying, "good luck with your choices". These were definitely NOT my choices but Scott's cheap stuff. I called several times afterwards and tried and tried and begged him to come back and and least put backs to the cabinets and real wood doors and drawers like he said he would four times! Alder fronts! I have asked for a $300.00 refund to finish them myself. Scott will not answer or return any of my messages or work with me to finish the job. I asked him to come and get them and refund my money too. I feel totally taken advantage of being a single mature woman and Scott a big bully and not taking any responsibility as a businessman and for his cheap product and not what I ordered. Stay clear of this charlatan!! He is not a custom cabinet maker but a fraud and a thief who takes advantage of single mature women. My pretty little project has been on hold and my bathroom remains in disarray ever since. I feel I shouldn't have to settle on these cheap things.

I guess I got what I paid for. I paid $1700 for laminate countertops. I like the countertops, they…read moreare exactly what I was expecting. The installation on the other hand is ridiculously amateurish. Where the counter turns at the elbow of the counter does not line up with the corner at all. The wall/sink side was made entirely too short, resulting not just in the corner not lining up but also in the extra wide top of the backsplash. Cartoonish-ly wide top of the backsplash, it is significantly wider than the top of the rest of the backsplash. The reveal on the wall/sink side is barely over the edge of the counter, showing most of my drawer pulls on the long L side the drawer pulls cannot be seen at all. The difference in the reveals is almost an inch. When my husband called him today, he said I should have said something yesterday. I didn't say anything yesterday because 1.) I tend to be very harsh and do not temper my words well, 2.) my husband was not home and had not seen it yet, 3.) I am not a countertop maker or installer and wanted to discuss it with my husband to first to make sure that I was not being unreasonable, 4.) I would expect a professional to SEE that he was doing a horrible job, stop and fix it. #4 is my mistake, I presumed he knew what he was doing. Another reason for the low stars, he stood me up for my first appointment to discuss countertops, he didn't bring any samples for the type of countertop I wanted because he didn't ask my husband what we were looking for during the initial phone conversation, he said I would receive my countertops in approximately 3 weeks, it was twice that, he made an appointment me with us for the 23rd but when we called to confirm he said he thought it was for the 30th. I had to reschedule with the plumber, I am happy we called to confirm or he would have stood me up again. On the 30th, I was told 10ish he called at 10 to say he was running late, he arrived after 11:15. He clearly does not value other people's times. I love my countertops, but I am horrified by the installation.
