Customized Hauling has been a great help this last year during a months' long project of clearing an estate. Each haul had a consultation and estimate that was always on target and Matt's team-members were always prompt and professional. But it was during the recent rain and wind storm where Customized Hauling became my hero. After gusts of winds removed a nearly fifty year old carport roof clean off its moorings and sent the metal pieces sailing, Matt came out in the middle of the storm to remove the debris before it could fly again. For free he came out to look at the work (I live in Bolinas so it was a 2 hour round trip for him to check out), and eventually decided he wasn't best equipped for the job. He could have done it, but he lacked a specific piece of equipment that would have made it cheaper and quicker. Surprisingly great experience!! Matt was Really easy to communicate with, very professional, and his crew did a superb and tidy job removing a massive couch and an old dishwasher from our condo. I had also gotten a quote from a junk removal "chain"- it was $120 for Customized Hauling, or $180-$280 for the other place... But I'm really writing this review because Matt went above and beyond. While he and I made the appointment and agreed on the price, it was my husband and the crew that was actually present for the removal, and the crew accidentally over-charged my unknowing husband. When I found out, I called Matt ready to *fume*!! Turns out the crew had simply swapped two prices for hauls that day, and Matt was So sincerely apologetic and surprised in response. Absolutely amazing! I first reached out via Yelp quote, which sends the request to multiple businesses, but Matthew was the first to quote and the most fair in pricing. I originally needed two items removed, but another item was taken during the process, so I only needed one couch removed. I was swiftly given a second quote and a time slot that worked for me. They came at the exact quoted time and provided a speedier service than expected. This is the second time I used Matt as a mover. The first time he moved a huge couch into my house which was no easy feat - since I live on a hill with many stairs and no parking- the second time, it was a 200lb tree pot. No problem!! What a great company! Matt was really accommodating fitting me into his schedule last minute, and then rescheduling when my timing was off. Will arrived on time and was really quick loading everything up and even sweeping out my garage. They were so pleasant and easy to work with I was amazed.
