I had some time during my spring break, so i tried out their 10 for $10 deal, which is a great way to experience their studio without the commitment. After attending their Hatha (more beginner friendly), Power, and Yin classes, i definitely think I will get a membership! I found all the yoga instructors to be really helpful and classes were moderately paced. Bring your own yoga mat, towel to place on the mat, and another to wipe your sweat. I appreciated their showers in the locker room because you leave class really super detoxed and dripping with sweat. The studio and locker rooms are always kept clean. Their classes are notably hotter than other hot yoga studios- if you are completely new to hot yoga, I recommend starting with another studio with a lower temp. or yin classes (meditation/light stretching in a non heated class). Great hot yoga classes as usual, though the studio is WAY hotter than other hot yoga studios. Also, they allow cell phones in the yoga room which is gross and really deters from what yoga is all about. I'm meditating on my mat prior to class and everyone around me is hunched over looking at their little boxes like little addicts who can't even take an hour of their life for themselves. It was gross and my brain didn't deserve to be subject to that poison in a place where it should be free of it. What a lovely headspace to get into before doing one of the best things you can do for yourself :C Cell phones should not be allowed in any yoga room, ever! Despite that of the instructor's if needed for timekeeping etc. Ban the phones from the yoga floor and it would be a great place to be. read more

I went in for a free trial class. This studio is exactly as described in a lot of the other reviews...HOT!!! I made it through the entire class but I didn't want to touch my mat or the floor because both were burning hot by the end of class. I definitely left a little lightheaded. I am sure one can acclimate to the high heat after a few weeks, but I am not sure this studio is for beginners to hot yoga. There are definitely other studios that still offer the heat without the "burning" feeling. I still might try it again for a good challenge after I've established some more hot yoga tolerance/skill. read more

I have been practicing hot yoga for over 15 years, and teaching for 13. I have experienced a variety of hot yoga studios, and I much prefer the culture and heat offered at Hot Yoga Inc. The instructors are professional and experienced, and my body thrives from the infrared heat. My skin feels amazing after class, and I am able to mentally let go of negative energy I may be carrying from the day. There is something about the energy in that particular studio that calms me. I leave feeling refreshed with my cup full. I am grateful for this community as I never feel like it's a competitive atmosphere. Very bad experience. They encourage you to ignore your body and what it needs. My friend had taken her medications before the session, like normal. But they had the room so hot that she started to feel nauseous. They keep the room at over 115 degrees, which is DANGEROUS. Any physical activity over 110 degrees is a risk for heat stroke. They have gotten multiple reviews and critiques on this over the years in past reviews but have not changed it. My friend told the teacher that she had to leave because she was feeling really sick (at least twice) and the instructor repeatedly told her it would pass and she needed to breath through it. Then the instructor told me to turn around because I was distracting her. Like what?? We were not talking, she only whispered to me once to tell me she was starting to get really nauseous. This is NOT what yoga is about. Yoga is about creating a safe space for your body and mind, where you feel comfortable. And your instructor should be helping you on that journey. Our instructor was telling my friend to ignore what her body needed and tried keeping us captive in a room that was dangerously hot. It burned my feet anytime I walked on the floor. The instructors name was Deejay, she was very loud, talked really fast, and was critical. I think she was better suited to be a drill instructor than yoga instructor. We took the Hatha class. I don't understand the low (er) stars, this studio has made such a tremendous impact on my life over the years. I've tried visiting different hot yoga studios I'm the area and with the line exception of a Bikram studio which unfortunately closed down 4 yrs ago, no ther studio has measured up to this one. The owner clearly has paid meticulous detail to the design and has spared no expense enhancing the overall experience of every practice yogi who attends. 1) NICE SOFT FLOORS. This is crucial when I'm doing floor work. I'd rather not feel like my pelvis is getting shattered into tiny pieces every time I've got to do the dreaded airplane pose. Why other studios choose laminate flooring...I will never know, and it's usually a deal breaker for me if that's what they use. 2) Abundant # of Mirrors which line the walls and are seemingly placed everywhere structurally feasible -and they're nearly to floor level. I want, no I *NEED* to have reasonable access to a mirror in order to visualize proper posture and to track my progress within each pose. THANK YOU for being conscientious of this. 3) The heat. Yes, I like my studios HADES HOT. Am I a masochist? Probably. However, when I go to other studios that aren't hot enough, I always walk away after practice feeling vaguely irritable and unsatisfied ..I find I just can't reach as deeply into my poses in a lukewarm room, and hitting the showers afterwards wiyh that glorious, hippy smelling tea tree scented body wash aren't nearly as gratifying. At hot yoga inc bc of the extreme heat I feel like I'm working harder for every pose, and the rushes of occasional cold air when they open the door feels legitimately like an orgasmic treat. The ONLY drawback to this studio are the prices. Understandable, bc they are located in a prime Real Estate area (Millcreek towncenter) and buisness maintenance and upkeep and the heat bill can't be cheap. Unfortunately my finances don't allow me to attend this studio full-time. After a year long Covid shuttering they've raised their prices even HIGHER to (understandably) recuperate their costs and the new price sadly have completely tapped me out. I will still drop in on the weekends as a treat to myself when I have extra $$ to splurge. For now, I'm attending a more affordable competitor during the week ...but make no mistake tho, I pine for Hot Yoga Inc the entire time like a forbidden lover. I will continue my hunt for a happy medium somewhere out there. If I can't find a studio that's at least CLOSE to matching this studio in quality/amenities then it looks like I'm selling my organs to afford the monthly unlimited package at Hot Yoga Inc. read more

Favorite hot yoga studio in the area! It is definitely hot, so be sure to come hydrated and listen to your body. After a few months, I have learned to love it and keep coming back for more. Each instructor has their own style, which keeps classes interesting. I especially love Sculpt with Deejay and Power with Emily, but I leave every class feeling better than when I walked in. I haven't been to this studio since I moved out of state but saw it on class pass and it was only 2 credits so I thought why not....well there's a reason it was only 2 credits! DeeJay the instructor strolled in 10 mins late smacking on her gum and acted like she didn't have a care in the world. No apology for starting late and just proceeded to begin. She left the room at least 5 times and seemed to be more focused on checking herself out in the mirror rather than teaching the class. You can barely hear her, especially when she goes into the lobby to adjust her music and is projecting her voice out to the lobby and not the classroom. I didn't care for her class 4 years ago before I moved and clearly nothing has changed. If they had had her name on class pass then I would have known to steer clear! This was a 12p class and her lack of respect for people's time is very rude. I get a minute or 2 but 10?!! And people probably take this class on their lunch break so you waltzing in 10 mins late and then having class run till 1:15p when they expect it done at 1p is very inconsiderate. The one thing I did enjoy was the temperature - it truly is a HOT yoga studio. In the south they only take it to 85-90 degrees which isn't to me hot. read more

No other studio's heat compares. When I walk into this studio I sigh w relief from the warmth that penetrates deeply. I do have favorite instructors here - most hatha teachers here are great!! ( Sara- consistent and strong)- Linda- love her class too- solid teaching, great personal corrections. In short, the WORST HOT YOGA STUDIO I am not new to hot/bikram yoga. I have practiced this style of yoga consistently for over 10 years now at multiple hot yoga studios in multiple countries and continents and hands down this is the WORST STUDIO i have ever practiced in and the most frustrating management. The HEATING SYSTEM IS DANGEROUS. it is easily over 120 degrees in this class. INSTRUCTORS ARE INEXPERIENCED WITH THE HEATING SYSTEM. I have gone to 4 classes out of 10 that i purchased and only 1 instructor so far knew how to control the heat. Everyone else OPENED THE DOORS CONSTNATLY which allowed a cool draft of air to hit you and then they closed the doors 30 seconds later and again 120 degrees. The constant hot and cool creates dizziness and lightheadedness. I noticed most people were either in child pose or pouring ice water on their heads in a miserable attempt not to pass out. This is NOT what practice of hot yoga is about. In a desperate attempt to remedy the situation and actually return to this hell on earth because i was foolish enough to purchase 10 classes I very nicely suggested to the instructor of last class to please keep the heat at a stable temperature and don't constantly open and close the doors. She responded by saying she DID NOT KNOW HOW TO CONTROL THE HEAT. Wow, you would think at least a hot yoga studio would make temperature control a priority and educate their staff on how to control the heat. Not to mention, this is a complete waste of energy! to make matters even more frustrating the girl at the front desk quickly replied in the sassiest of ways by saying "you must be new to hot yoga"... Well dear, I am NOT new to hot yoga, I am only new to this studio from hell. What a disappointment. I urge anyone reading this review to consider either fusion hot yoga in Bothell or Bent yoga in Everett. read more

Went here with my sister, they have a good intro deal we were interested in. When I went to put my mat down I saw puddles all over the floor. So I went back out to ask the receptionist to ask if they clean the floors between classes. She informed me that they did clean, so I was like "okay cool, the puddles on the floor must be water from the cleaning or maybe a water bottle." So I went back in, put my mat down on a large puddle. The yoga was a little too hot for me. I have done hot yoga many times before, but never this hot. Every person in this class was soaked with sweat within minutes. When I laid on my mat for a breather, the mat radiated heat. In my resting state, I also noticed that my hands and arms had dirt and pine needles on them. So I looked over to the floor around me and noticed dirt and grime. That's when I realized, they had NOT CLEANED THE FLOOR AND I WAS LAYING IN A PUDDLE OF SOMEONE ELSE'S BODILY FLUIDS. This is when I got up to leave. As soon as my bare feet were off my yoga mat the floor was burning the soles of my feet! It was later confirmed by the receptionist that they do clean the floors multiple times a day, just not between classes that are close together. Come here at your own health risk. I can't seem to shower the memory away. read more

What's sad is, it's probably not about the place, but the instructor "Deejay" I had for my very 1st hot yoga experience on Thursday Feb 5 at 9:30am. But your employees are your business. And she obviously effected business today. I came in the day before & spoke to someone about it being my first time, she (not Deejay) was nice & gave me her version of what I'd need & needed to know. So, it's not like I came to my 1st class without any time to spare, not getting the info of what to expect & what was expected. I felt singled out with in the 1st few minutes. It was very odd, I felt as if I was a child in school. My towel wasn't big enough. Ok- sorry about that. Deejay grabbed it held it up during class & announced this. I was told (the day before) to bring a towel, not the size (again my 1st time). Next, She took my cell phone away, walked out to the front (it's muted, my elderly dad just had surgery, I need phone access, it's in a waterproof case, not her responsibility if it gets ruined right?). "Not allowed!", she said in front of all! And took it away? Now I'm getting irritated. I didn't invite her to go thru my things, taking them away... Where am I? The 4th grade. I have family 1st as emergencies & I'm not disturbing anyone! I shouldn't even have to write this. Who goes thru someone's personal stuff to exclaim/lecture them like this??? (Keep in mind, she is VERY MONOTONED unless she's letting you & the class know you don't know the "rules" and how she's a yoga-cop!) I sat down for a few & then decided to step out & collect my thoughts. "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE CLASS UNTIL TIME'S UP!" She barked at me. I said I was sorry & wasn't feeling right, & stepped out. She came out running out to me, with class door open & started barking to me about the "rules" & class length & on and on", while class was still going on. I looked at her & asked her to please stop lecturing me, I obviously wasn't a fit for her class & that I would just like to collect my things & leave. She barked at me that, "I wasn't ALLOWED to go in & retrieve my things during class!" I quietly sat down on a bench out front & just kind of looked out the window thinking to myself how I was being held captive & attacked. She stood with the door open SO THE WHOLE CLASS COULD HEAR, watching me to make sure I didn't take off with anyone's shoes or something, or she was blocking me from getting my stuff (cuz she's the boss?), I'm not sure. (Again my own stuff was still in class waiting for me to go). I quietly & respectively waited, after a few mins, she came out with me stuff & handed it to me (in front of the class!), "Have a nice day!" She says??? Seriously the oddest rudest experience I've ever had at an exercise studio. I will try this again somewhere else, & continue with my Zumba & Pilates & gym experiences elsewhere in the meantime. I don't think I've been spoken to like that since the 6th grade. At least, if someone is new, recognize that, talk to them about things, help them through what you need & what they need to experience in the class. Don't ever single people out, especially new ones. This person needs to obviously become more "at one" with yoga or something. I hope she finds peace in her heart & learns to be respectful. Just a note that the 10 for $10 is for 14 days, I thought it was 30 days. I purchased a 10 class pass since I missed out on the last five classes of the intro deal and the discount I was originally offered (that was then past it's offer time frame) was honored after discussing it with the studio manager. She went on to have a long informative conversation with me about the infrared heat of the studio and the 110 degree temp of the classes. This is higher than typical hot/Bikram classes and you can feel it warming you up from inside and out. I feel really good since starting these yoga classes. My reason for starting is because at 50 I am feeling stiffness, tightness and overall sluggishness despite eating pretty clean my tummy weight is slow to come off. The heat has helped me stretch just a little further and amazingly my balance has improved rapidly. On the mat I feel more focused than I ever have in a yoga class and everyone else is as well. Despite the lack of clothing, all the right parts are covered, I feel no self consciousness. The culture of the other students is respectful, kind and lacking any presence of judgment or competitiveness. When I would drive by after a class had ended and see everyone on the steps they seemed showy and attention seeking as they sat around shirtless or in tank tops and shorts and now having been there I see that there is actually a lot of comradery and support as people say high to one another and come down from the heat. The studio manager assured me that leaving is an option if I feel like vomiting or passing out but to try laying down first and slowing my breathing. This is a particularly important point because I NEVER wanted to try hot yoga since I don't like being hot but this kind of heat is not the same thing. The heat is intense and focused for 60 minutes and then it's done, unlike a 100 degree summer day where it wears on all day unending. It's manageable, seriously and I'm a wuss. I'm super pleased by the professionalism of most of the instructors and grateful for the support. I don't know if I'm hooked yet but I've got eight more passes to figure it out. This was my first time doing hot yoga but now after reading other reviews I'm wondering if it was too hot because at times it was nearly unbearable. Anyway I think each person has their own preferences and personal limits. I went to a morning class and it was pretty clean compared to an evening class where it was quite the opposite and really grossed me out. If you're OCD-clean then stick to the early classes. Also, be prepared to see big, hairy, shirtless old men bellies. That are sweaty. read more

My best friend tried to talk me into doing hot yoga for like, a year, so I finally did. I got 10 classes for $10 which is a great way to try out the yoga and studio. My first time in was really rough because I'm not the best at drinking water, but once I improved that, the classes were awesome! When I go in regularly, I notice that I feel more mellow and relaxed during the day, and it's amazing to see an improvement every time I go in provided that I've been taking care of myself outside of class. I prefer the morning classes; the 4:30 one gets crowded and that makes it more humid, which is less-fun than the more dry-heat I get in the smaller morning classes. read more

The good: Great temperature, less hot than a hot yoga place in Issaquah that I went to. The teacher was good at moving around and helping with positions. He didn't allow talking which was good so everyone could relax. They have $10 for 10 classes deals for new students and you have a month to use it. This is a VERY good deal because drop-in classes cost about $17. The bad: They let way too many people in the class. We were basically touching elbows. My friend and I went together and wanted to be next to eachother and by the time we got into the room, it was full. Love this place, and will definitely be back :) read more

I have been coming to this studio for 6 months straight now. I take at least 1-2 classes a day, and I can't describe how much I love hot yoga! It has really changed my lifestyle and diet, and has overall made me a healthier/happier person. It's right in the Mill Creek Town center, so its in a safe are and there's lots of parking. All the instructors and employees there are so friendly and helpful; I really enjoy all of the instructors' classes so it's hard to say which one is my favorite. And yes, it is very hot, but that's what hot yoga is about. Just laying down on the mat, focusing on your breath and practicing how to lay still is part of the practice. And a tip for those who are just starting out, remember to make a habit of drinking lots of water throughout the day. I used to barely drink water, and just bring tons of water to class, and that resulted in chugging water and making me feel sick. Also, remember not to eat 2 hours prior either! Or at least nothing too heavy. read more

I dropped in on a class here because I was visiting for work. The front desk girl was a little sassy when she told me they didn't have a mat or towel rental. I bought a cheap mat and got settled in a power class. So remember your mat. The instructor was enthusiastic and made her way all the way around the room. Overall this is a decent studio. They offer a really good all level hot power class. I would go back if I'm around that area again, but I'll remember my mat next time. read more

HYI Mill Creek is my home away from home. I've been practicing here for 3 years, and it is the best hot yoga in the area. The infrared heat is intense, but I feel so awesome after, and your body gets used to it over time. I LOVE HYI!! I have been coming here on and off for about a year now! They got me hooked when they had their 30 day challenge (which btw I rocked and did it)!! They also have great customers who were so nice and encouraging to me when I first started the 30 day challenge! All the instructors are wonderful and very helpful during class. They are always helpful before and after class with any questions you have. They are super motivating during class and especially during sculpt. There is 1 instructor that I dont go to her class but she doesn't teach that often and it's my personal preference not to go as I not a 100% fan of her style which is fine! I have seen great changes since starting hot yoga and it brings me a sense of relief when I go. The instructors always remind you that this is 1 hour for yourself and not to worry about what you have going on in your life. Let yourself have this 1 hour to focus on you and you only. I truly appreciate that reminder as it is hard to focus on yourself during your busy life! :) They offer an auto pay that is cheaper than the month unlimited and so I purchased that! I took advantage of the new student special. I had already tried a yoga spot elsewhere but before committing to a monthly membership I wanted to be sure I found my home. Well this place will not be it. It was the hottest experience I have ever had. Half the class was in child's pose the whole time. The floor was so hot it burnt my feet. I understand hot yoga is supposed to be "hot" but this is in no way shape or form enjoyable and completely took the practice out of Yoga practice because I could barely breath which is a primary function in yoga. I will absolutely never return and do t even care to lose the money. read more

Nice, clean facilities. Great staff. Unfortunately, I'm giving this place 2 stars because of the heat in the studio and the lack of privacy during class due to the windows. It was way too hot. I understand the benefits of the infrared heat but to have a studio that hot could be deemed not safe. I've taken both Hatha and Vinyasa in this studio and every time I've taken the classes, I've had to lay down or be in child's pose for 3/4 of the class. It's always gotten to the point where I feel extremely lightheaded and about to pass out if I don't leave the room. I've seen over half the classes stay in those resting positions for at least 1/2 of the class time. My fitbit and phone have died every single time I've taken them in that room. And both devices have been able to survive through other hot yoga studios. Fun fact: the average normal operating temperature of fitbits range from -4 deg F to 113 deg F. read more

I have been practicing on and off for about 3 years. I started at hot yoga inc in mill creek about 2 weeks ago and love it! It's HOT (so drink plenty of water! ) and the staff are fantastic! My only complaint would be the large window to the parking lot in the studio, would prefer the privacy and lack of sunlight in your eyes of not having the window. After hearing the great benefits of hot yoga, I finally decided to give it a try. I started up in the fall of 2010 with the $10 for 10 beginners special and after the first class was hooked. It was hot hot hot and the instructor took to the time to make sure we really pushed ourselves. I immediately signed up under contract so that I could continue going 3 to 5 times a week. Throughout this time period the class sizes got increasingly full. What went from being able to show up 5 to 10 minutes prior to class to snag a spot, turned into 30-45 minutes prior to get smashed in between sweaty strangers. Where you're more focused on making sure you don't knock out the person next to you when you're circle sweeping your arms up than the actual pose. And the room temperature. I have lived in a hot state for 13 years, I know what heat is. And in the beginning all of the different instructors were very good about keeping the studio the same temperature and humidity regardless of the instructor. As the months went on the temperature and even the instruction style was incredibly inconsistent. They tell you to never leave the room, and I never have, it throws of the energy, however one afternoon it was unbearable. More than half the class got up and left before the floor series had even started. As far as business practices go, I'm not quite sure if they have a monkey in the back smoking a cigar and punching buttons or what, but their archaic way of keeping everyone's memberships in order is disgraceful. I know for a fact of people that didn't get charged some months, then several months later when they realize they missed a month back charging them. Then when I had signed up they said the cancellation fee is waived should I move out of the area. Well, I moved out of the area and they wanted to charge a $200 cancellation fee... when the contract only says $99. Again, my reason was valid to have it waived. Apparently, the monkey dropped his cigar this day and was cranky, because they weren't going to waive it. In my experience with gym memberships, I was with LA Fitness for several years, they don't let you past the doors if you're late on a payment and they'll call you until you do pay. It's not a "skip a month and I'll charge you five months later". Get it together. Either way, with all of the options for Hot Yoga these days, I would stay clear of this one. Classes packed far past capacity, temperatures ranging from "is the heat on?" to "I think I actually am stranded in the Sahara", and the shadiest business practices I have had the misfortune of experiencing. read more

The only reason this place is getting two starts instead of one is because the staff who sign you up and take your money were very friendly. Other than this though, everything was awful. CONS: Hottest studio I've ever been in. I had attended a hot yoga studio for a month up the street and during the entire hour and a half, I was able to do all the poses without a problem, and I'd feel great afterward. I was only here an hour and was unable to do a single pose. This place felt like literal hell. The floor was hot to the touch (it was like walking on coals), my mat would be burning hot, and there was no relief. There are no fans that actually cool you down, and by the time ten minutes passes, even the water you walked in with that was cool is almost boiling. I was not able to do one pose correctly because I felt as if I was going to faint. Five minutes in and I was on the ground for the rest of the practice. By the 30 minute mark, I could tell about 75% of the class was struggling to do poses because of how hot it was. The other yoga studio I went to it was controlled, and always the same temperature . It seemed that this place was not controlled, and the instructor finally turned down the heat about 50 minutes in. Oh, did I mention the heater is ABOVE the studio and literally comes down on your body like a torch? Yeah, that wasn't fun either. There is no water offered inside, so if you run out of water halfway through your practice you are screwed. The locker room is a joke. They expect 40+ people to change, shower, and go to the bathroom in about a 10x10 room. This is impractical and really frustrating. This place made me feel trapped, with no way out. No relief in sight, no clock to see how much longer I was to suffer. It was just so unpleasant. I spent 10 bucks for the 10 sessions, and I'm not going back. It was just a disaster. If you want to go to a good hot yoga place, do not go here. I'm glad I did not go here for my first time, or I would have never done hot yoga again. read more

I am a big proponent for hot yoga, it has an addicting quality and has been the best work out for me thus far. I actually enjoy the warmth (yes, warmth not death blasting heat....more of that below). This is the fourth studio I have tried in the area (lynnwood-bothell). I have tried this many mainly for the price($$$ but I won't get into that here), second for the variety of scheduling and lastly to see which studio I like better. I gave this studio 2 stars---a half for politeness of staff, another half for the large room size, and one star for the very accommodating class schedule....the most 60min classes offered in the area. I did not give them the other 3 stars---too freakin HOT! There isn't a clock posted in or near the room; some people do better when they can get a visual reference on how much longer the torture will last in a room that is too freakin HOT. And, I do not like being lied too....if you say that there is one more pose before a water break than MEAN IT! Do not dangle a break over my head then proceed to call out poses faster in a room that is too freakin HOT! There isn't another studio in the area this HOT...and that's not a good thing. With other hot studios I would complete a 60min class (do all the poses and stay standing the whole time) come home, cook dinner and do some laundry....here I can't make it 25min without collapsing. I want to complete the class so bad that I look like an injured animal trying to get back up and do a pose or two before succumbing to the heat and crumbling into a half-ass child's pose. My mat is hot, the floor is hotter, no relief in sight and then I feel like a failure for not making it 30min....not a feeling you were aiming for when going to the class in the first place. As an instructor (not of yoga...but an educator non the less) if less than 50% of the class isn't making it past 30min (and I mean they never get back up), wouldn't you take the hint and turn the heat down or slow the class down..we are not here for the 1% masochist that make up the class. Oh, and fanning one door open ain't gonna cut it. Like others have said I will complete my 10/$10 but unless someone that owns the place reads these and decides to turn the heat down, I won't be joining this studio. read more

Several years ago I tried Hot Yoga Inc and took advantage of their great introductory special of $10 for 10 classes. I just moved to the area and am looking for a new studio to join. I wasn't sure if i was still eligable for the new student special because some studios allow you to do that if it has been a certain amount of time since your last visit. I called the Bellevue location at 3:30 today ( because the Mill Creek studio was not opened yet), and spoke to a nice gentleman who pulled up my account and he said that, " yes I was still eligable and the computer was showing that it would allow me purchase the 10 classes for $10". I drove 30 minutes and missed an opportunity to attend another fitness class just to get there in time for the 4:30 class. The reason I am writing this review is because the woman I just spoke to at the front desk was short with me and rude. I came in and explained to her that I had just spoken to a gentleman at the Bellevue location who had pulled up my account and told me I was eligible and she flat out told me " no that is not possible the computer will not let me allow that", without even asking my name or pulling up my account. I tried explaining again that I had just spoken to someone at the Bellevue location and with a very rude tone and at this point seeming irritated she said, " who? Who did you speak too? No that is not possible". Again she never pulled up my account to even check, she didnt offer to tell me how much a drop in class was or anything. I asked her how much a drop in class was and she said $22. I honestly wouldn't have had a problem paying $22 for a drop in class, but this woman was so rude and made me feel so unwelcome that I just left. read more

I have been going to Hot Yoga Inc for a couple months now and I have really enjoyed it. First, I bought the 10 classes for $10. Then I bought the one month unlimited. I came in on Friday and bought the 20 classes for $249. There was no problem on Friday until I tried to go in to do Yoga this evening and the front desk person (Kayla) said I needed to purchase more classes or pay the $20 for a drop in. I told her I just bought 20 classes but she said it must not have gone thru (A similar thing happened to a friend of mine on Friday night). I tried to buy another 20 pack but for some reason my card was declined. I asked her if I could just take the class and pay later but she said I would have to pay before I left tonight. I don't bring in my wallet when I come to yoga. I usually just bring my CC and drivers licence so I was unable to pay before I left. My friend who I car pool with offered to pay but I was already too upset to do the class and I was buying a 20 pack so I did not have to pay $20 for the class. When I got home I checked my bank account and Hot Yoga Inc in fact did charge me $249 on Friday I think the real reason I was so upset was that the front desk person seemed not care in the least that I was getting upset. Instead she was acting like I was trying to "steal" a yoga class. There were also at least four other instructors behind the counter and none of them said a thing. After talking to a few of my friends that have had similar experiences with the same person I found out she was a manager there! No wonder the instructors that were behind the counter didn't say anything. I think they were scared. They lost at least four people that I know personally that will not go back. Too hot. WAY too hot. I have been to many different hot yoga studios and have never been in a class this uncomfortable. As the reviewers below have said, the mat and floor are literally burning to the touch and most of the class is down within the first few minutes. The heaters above are similar to outdoor patio heaters and there is no escape. I had a miserable experience my first class and only made it through half an hour before I felt like I would fall over from dizziness. I can usually do a 60-90 minute hot yoga class with no problems. I decided to give it another shot and came back a month later, this time only making it through 15 minutes. I was too distracted by the heat to comment on any other part of the studio. The facilities seemed nice and the staff was pleasant. Maybe if they can get the temperature under control it would be worth another shot. read more

I cancelled my yoga membership January 18th in person & was charged for March (I had expected to pay for February per cancellation policy) I have called multiple times for my refund, have gone into the studio, yet no one is capable of refunding my money, even though they all admitted it was an error on their end. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of responsibility. Very poor business practices. read more

This was my first hot yoga experience so maybe that's why I'm giving it such a low rating. However, in my limited experience with yoga in general, there are certain things that good yoga instructors do: a)demo postures b)correct your form c)follow up with you after your first class to see if you like it and how you're feeling None of this happened here. I came in, paid my intro fee and sweated to the point of almost passing out for 90 minutes while the instructor called out different postures from the back of the room and "encouraged" us to push ourselves. I could barely focus on my form at all because I was trying not to fall over. When class was done everyone just shuffled out to make room for the next class. I know hot yoga is not for me...however I'm not sure this hot yoga studio is the best either. read more

After reading through some reviews it is hard for me to not put in my 2 cents and disagree with the people that post a review saying "it's too hot". If that is not what you are looking for or you did not notice the word hot, then you have definitely misunderstood the whole concept. The classes can get hot, but it is never something you shouldn't be able to get over after completing a class or two. I watch people take these classes every day from all walks of life (fitness freak to couch conisseour). It is something that is mental/physical that becomes easier to overcome with practice. Fluid intake also plays a big role in how you will feel during a class. I always drink as much water as possible before and after I take a class. With that being said, I enjoy the classes and people at this studio. I've never had any issues with anyone. Most people are helpful and want you to learn new things and feel comfortable. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. Also, If the heat is something that bothers you they have classes that don't use the heaters at all (yin). These classes are great and help me get a good stretch in after a good run or workout. It would be a good stepping stone for someone that was not ready for the heat. read more
