Steak sliders
Kurt H.

Just went there yesterday before the Keb Mo show at the rialto theater. Ambiance is nice, we were seated upstairs. Waiter (jaymz?) Was friendly and efficient. I ordered the oysters and the 30day aged ribeye. She had the steak sliders which were good. My steak, although it was good and cooked properly (medium rare) was not as tender as a $90.00 steak should be. I think it was most likely a choice grade, not prime. I guess I should have asked before ordering about the grade. Usually steakhouses that offer prime will mention it and this place doesn't specify. Overall, 4 stars. If the steak was prime, then 5 stars.

Very date night spot. Drinks are delicious; especially the martini's we had. They start you off with some bread and butter. The salmon was great just needed more sauce. The surf and turf was perfection.

We all truly enjoyed restaurant week! kicking it off with the surf and turf, creamy Bolognese sauce, New York Stip and garlic mashed potatoes. our bread was hot and fluffy thanks to our amazing server John. Emma is an amazing drink mixologist and always on point. Don't forget the salted caramel gelato just perfect. Thank you all again for your fabulous service.

Don't turn around when you see the road construction, park in the city lot across the street or use the free valet. We had the crusted rack of lamb with a wonderful wine. Food was excellent and the service was great. Highly recommend dinner here.

Love the crab cakes appetizer. Prices reasonable. Helpful staff. Shoutout to the servers/busboy...very attentive and made us very comfortable.

Came here for our 5th anniversary and it was such a great experience! We were seated for our reservation immediately, the restaurant was so pretty and the food was delicious! The drinks were so good too. John was our waiter and he was a pleasure! Definitely ask for John! We can't wait to come back!

Chicken Caprese

My husband and I recently went here for our anniversary. The vibe reads upscale 'special occasion' so we were looking forward to a well-crafted meal. We started off with appetizers: the crab cakes for me, the Fishermans Grill for him. Both very good. Entrees were the 32oz Porterhouse and the Caprese Chicken. Again, both were good; not *amazing*, not "we absolutely must come here again"; just good. We decided to skip dessert until our server said he wanted to give us an anniversary treat. So we waited for that to come out. And waited. and waited. and waited. Finally told him to skip it and just give us the bill. Dessert finally came out just as we were giving our server our credit card to pay. Overall, the food was average at best. The service was ridiculously slow (we were seated by 5:50 and didn't leave until 8:15 even though it wasn't packed. 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 drinks. 2 1/2 hrs. ). Our server was nice, but there was obviously an issue in the kitchen based on the pace of our meal. Lastly, the prices may read "upscale restaurant: dress appropriately"; but the staff/host does not enforce, which kind of kills the whole vibe for me. If I want to eat someplace where backwards baseball caps are ok indoors, as well as ripped jeans and t-shirts (yes, I've just described the gentleman next to us), I'll hit Mickeys.

Server was knowledgeable and gave honest answers. Food was wonderful. Steak is great quality their sides were rich and flavorful, and their desserts were perfect, Not too rich not too ordinary. Martinis were so so smooth and done right. Perfect for a date. I've been quite critical on restaurants lately however the food and experience for the price was of Great Value!! We WILL be back!

We figured it would have been the perfect way to top off our evening. For first-timers it might be hard trying to find the speakeasy since at first I thought you had to access it from the Busy Street and walk up three flights of stairs. Actually you just walk inside of the Embers building, find the elevator that's kind of hidden and take it to the Third floor. I thought that the little trip up felt exclusive already. Once you're at the third floor you are treated to a beautiful array of scenery. Exit to your left and you were treated to the bar and some great tables with a cozy, intimate setting. I'm not sure if it was open seating since there was a little podium right off the elevator so we just sat ourselves. Some speakeasies require a certain dress code to keep up with the times. This one thankfully was casual though many people dressed business casual. We actually loved how the staff dressed as well. I have to try their Japanese sex drink and I absolutely loved every ship that I took. The drinks are fairly price. They did have a food menu but it was mainly snacks and small plates that were a bit overpriced. If we're having a large Gathering they have a big private room next door. This place does have a lot of great events going on as well with their upcoming Valentine's Day event that looks really interesting. It does get pretty busy as well after 7:00 p.m. from our experience. Overall, I was excited and enjoyed our visit coming to the 933 speakeasy!

It just so happens that I visited the night of a holiday bar crawl in lockport so the inside wasn't set up how it normally would be. For being packed, we were still able to grab a cocktail table to enjoy our drinks at. The bar was decked out in holiday decor to get everyone in christmas spirits. My group got two rounds of drinks which included the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned, Figgy Smalls, Christmas in a Cup, Happiness is a Warm Puppy, Milk & Cookies, and Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. My favorites by far were the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned and Figgy Smalls. My group also loved the Milk & Cookies. The bartenders hustled to get drinks out and still took time to smoke the old fashioneds to perfection. I'd love to come back on a normal night and re-enjoy this lockport hotspot.

The atmosphere is pleasant, with background music. The building has old charm, but at the same time seemed new and fresh. We started with fried calamari, which V said was the best he had in a while. I suspect it should have been taken out of the fryer a few seconds sooner, as I detected a hint that the breading was slightly burnt. I ordered a chopped salad with grilled chicken. It was quite tasty and had generous portions of blue cheese and bacon, yummy. V had a Lamb Chop which came with mashed potatoes. He enjoyed his meal, it the lamb was cooked well done, just like he ordered. We shared a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake, and it was the perfect finish to the meal. We would definitely come back again, from hospitality, to atmospher and food, it's a very good experience.

Ribeye steak was definitely "meh". Not worth $38.00 But the crispy brussel sprouts were amazing. Best I've ever had.

Cool old school feeling place that feels like it could have been the middle of last century where hard working fellows went after work to have some good suds and fun. They have obviously found something special about it and I think I know what. Cheap beer. It may be the cheapest place in Joliet. There seems to be a crowd of regulars who agree about this. Happy hour is the best. They're even cheaper if that's even possible. Heileman's Old Style is here. It's $1.25 for a pint. That's crazy cheap for all this. Also cheap ass cocktails. The wells are popping at happy hour. Good place for watching some ball games. It has lots of cheap suds and is a classic place for regulars to hang out. There's no food here but you can order and bring it in from somewhere.

The restaurant itself feels very intimate and exclusive because of its size. The drinks menu has something for everyone where the food menu focuses on specialty items you can't find at most other restaurants in the area. For cocktails, I highly recommend their martini service. I got both the French Martini and Espresso Martini and thoroughly enjoyed them both! My SIL also got the Vesper Martini which was surprisingly amazing. All had a unique flavor profile, spirit forward, but also balanced well. My husband also got the TG Bees Knees which was delicious. For food, we started with the Baked Feta. This came with four warm pieces of bread to pair with the warm feta and sauce. For entrees, our waitress said the most popular dishes were the Duck and Seasonal Catch. My husband ordered the Pan Roasted Duck and enjoyed the tenderness and flavor. I ordered the Ravioli Au Dauphine which was served as a sheet. I enjoyed the filling flavor mixed with the sauce and cheese topping. It was the perfect winter pasta. My brother and SIL shared the Pork Belly Confit and Pan Seared Scallops. All dishes came out with a beautiful presentation. Across the board the portions seemed a bit small but you could taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients they used. Gabby waited on our table and was such a joy. She was smiling always, made some great recommendations, gave us a good laugh at times, and was kind to take our photo to savor the night.
