Doesnt even deserve one star, used to be my favorite cafe till owners got switched. New owner isnt as polite or communicates as the old one but the staff is extremely friendly . They barely stock up anymore and theres flies all over their muffins in the front . They use clorax on all their products including forks and knives .. Completely unsafe . I see the staff doing more work in the back with bleach and no gloves rather than anything else . wouldnt come here . read more

Impressed by my first time visit. Staff was very nice, food was fresh and made quickly and it's just adorable inside, very hipster but not in an intimidating way, went in at 7 and it was quiet. We tried the café for the first time last Sunday, ordered lox bagel sandwich and waffle. The food and service was incredible, and price was very reasonable. The waffle was stacked high with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, in such a beautiful way to lay out the plate. The smoked salmon and bagel was fresh and toasted crispy, just the way I like it. The owner was so nice and greeted everyone as they come in. He seems to know many people by name. The waiters are always ready to take care of us. This is a true gem for the neighborhood. Love this neighborhood coffee shop! There have a friendly staff and have late hours - open til 11 most nights. Lots of seating if you are working from a computer there are plenty of outlets. read more

Like the owners and cafe but Ridgewood is filled with these rude young guys who come in and take over tables around you, talking over your table like the people in the middle aren't trying to relax and do their own thing. Then when you ask them nicely if they don't mind sitting together, they get an attitude. And the barista didn't do anything about it when I asked him if he wouldn't mind saying something. I used to live here and came back to reminisice and this kind of rudeness is tiring. read more

The place is cute. I've been there a few times. My only issue is with the young blonde that works there. She has been rude EVERY single time I've went in. I have also seen her speak to other people in such a way that I don't know how they bite their tongue. Just rude! She comes off condescending when someone asks for something she doesn't know about. She even walked away from a woman asking her a question and rolled her eyes and shook her head. read more

I honestly love this place with a passion! I choose their iced coffee over Starbucks & Dunkin! Very aesthetic and calm cafe. The girl with the green eyes is very friendly and remembers minor details. I feel appreciated, almost like my 2nd home. I appreciate this place, wish there were more places like this in NY. I highly recommend the Kikiriki sandwich & the Nutella Waffles! We must have hit this on an "off" day. Our order was forgotten about - what ever - it happens. Our waffles weren't like the ones in the pictures, no nice strawberries and actually tasted like they were out of a packet. Waitress then sat on her phone screeching on FaceTime to her friends. Highly recommend. I go here nearly every day for my morning coffee and the staff is always so friendly and courteous. They have tons of selections and the I would recommend their ice coffee which is delicious and always has the correct portions of ice and coffee. They're Nutella latte is delicious also. I rarely write on here, but this is obviously a new place and I've had a great experience so I decided it's worth taking five minutes to help them out :). I came in around 5 o'clock on a Friday and there were a few people hanging out, but plenty of open tables. It can seem impossible to find a nice cafe in New York where you actually have some breathing room so I really appreciated that, especially the spacious and colorful backyard. The people behind the counter were *super* friendly and nice and playing good music (the XX). I got an iced almond milk latte and a dalai lama sandwich, both of which were perfect. They didn't have grilled vegetables, so they subbed avocado for me, which I actually preferred. My only complaint is that I wish the wifi were stronger. I was doing work in the backyard and it was going in and out. Overall though, I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood - great food & drinks in a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. Great find! Bright, new and welcoming. Music and customer chatting are at a harmonious volume. If only I lived nearer, it would be a great spot to quickly meet friends on my way from the train station. Tried the fresh mozzarella, tomato and pesto baguette sandwich. It was delicious! The bread was a perfectly crunchy but not dry. My friend and I tried the unique lattes: ginger and turmeric and salep (which tastes like a lighter and creamier version of white hot chocolate). I recommend both. The place has super friendly service which is not intrusive asking you if there is anything else you want every 5 minutes. I'll be back! read more
