Everyone does a great job! Sarah is amazing with acrylic. Jenny and Tony do great gel manicures. Tina also does great mani/pedis! I've been going here for 3 years...ever since we moved here. I tried one other place one time when kiwi was closed for a holiday. Regretted it. I'm a kiwi girl!!! Edit: Completely forgot about what a good job Brian does too! Poor customer service. Well in fact I think they don't really want customers. I was a walk in and another customer walked in a few minutes after me. The person in the salon said she would "check" and when she came back said they would do the customer after me but I needed to come back some other time!! Basically she told me to get lost. A nice elderly lady came and was asking for "Tina" for a pedicure and they told her they had no time. But they were rude to her. I can tell by the lady's expression she would not be going back. I tried this salon despite the negative reviews because it's close to me house. I went in September for a pedicure and they did an average job. I went in again last week in the afternoon hoping to beat any weekend crowds. There was no one waiting when I arrived so I was seen right away. I only wanted a gel manicure. I already had a dip manicure from a previous salon so I was expecting to have to soak my nails for a bit. However, I was not expecting to spend 1.5 hours at the salon for a gel manicure. The technician was so slow and kept leaving the work station to walk to the back of the salon. I had no idea what was going on. A woman came in after me and got a pedicure AND gel manicure and was finished before me! To top it off, my nails started chipping after the 2nd day. I had a horrible experience at Kiwi. A Middle Aged man did my pedicure and seemed super rushed throughout the whole thing (there were only two other people in the salon and no one was waiting) He was very aggressive with the pedicure and very rough. He then sliced open my pinky toe underneath while using the callus remover tool on the bottom of my feet. It instantly stung and i pulled my foot back, he asked "does that hurt?" And i replied "yes" he did not acknowledge anything and kept going on with the pedicure. He saw blood on his glove and took the glove off but still did not say anything. There was blood on the towel and dripping down my foot underneath and he painted my nails without saying a word. I asked for a band aid and he seemed surprised that i was bleeding. It was the worst pedicure i have ever had. I asked for a bandaid and he came over wearing gloves he was now using from someone else's pedicure and tried to clean my toe. I took the alcohol swab from him and got a bandaid as well. He hardly apologized and went back to the other woman's pedicure, without changing his gloves. Disgusted! read more

I've had two experiences here. My first visit, I made an appointment for a manicure (just polish) and the quality was fine to say the least. Nothing special but they got the job done and I left with a decent manicure. My second visit, a friend and I walked in without an appointment and asked if they had room for any walk ins. The salon was nearly empty when we arrived, and there was only one client being taken care of, and from what I could tell, the other employees weren't doing much. They immediately turned us away, claiming they had no availability or time for walk ins, even after we offered to wait longer and/or come back. I wouldn't describe the employees as friendly, rather than civil. Do not recommend. read more

Against my better judgment and not so good reviews I went anyway, I got dip nails which was not great! Needs more training! Pedicure was nothing special I got the $36 dollar one, let's just say I know the difference between sea butter and lotion and there was no massage and the nail polish looked horrible I asked for it to be fixed and it was still horrible, it looked like melted plastic. I have only come here a few times, even though they are right next to my house. Every time I have come, the service has been terrible! The staff is rude and they only offer certain services on certain days with no mention of this on their website. I was in town for a couple days and desperately needed fills in my pink and whites. The lady who did my nails insisted on doing gel and painting my white tips vs doing pink and white gel like I asked. She basically told me I could not have what I asked for. So she painted the tips. They look terrible and chipped that night on 2 nails. I am very annoyed that I didn't walk out when she told me she would only paint the tips. Now I have to go get them redone somewhere else. What a waste of money and time. Avoid this place it is not worth it. read more

I have been going to Kiwi Nails for two years. I have always been able to get an appointment when I called. All the employees are friendly and professional and do a fantastic job. I usually ask for Tina and she goes over and beyond to make my pedicure and manicure enjoyable and that I will be satisfied when she is done. A few times I used one of the other manicurists and have always been satisfied. The new salon is bright, clean and inviting and easy to see and find. read more

This is probably more of a 2.5 star review as I don't get my nails done often enough to have much to compare it to. In fact, I was just telling the nail tech Sara the last time I had my nails done in a full set (what I got today) was for my wedding five years ago. Anyway, the experience today... It was...odd? I walked in and asked for a full set. I was taken back quickly. The whole process went by really fast. I wasn't going to complain since I got there before 11:30 and had somewhere to be at 12:30pm. Another woman was in the room where they do acrylic having her nails done by a man who works there. They were about midway through when I sat down. I wound up leaving before she did... My nail tech Sara seemed antsy to get me out of there. She kept looking out the window. At one point, another couple ladies walked in and the man up front motioned at her. This kicked her into gear even faster. I suspect they may have had an appointment and I was "just" a walk-in, but still I was a paying customer! She even waited to do the topcoat until I was sitting by the front door at the drying station-- with nothing to dry, almost as if she was so rushed she had forgotten a step or two. It was just strange, nice as she was. As others have mentioned they like cash tips and not on the card. Wasn't a fan of that option. I've been here in 2014 and just got a manicure, but I don't know if I'll be back. Even if it's another couple of years between now and then. read more

I go in a year ago and they wont do fills 2 weeks later. I go in three times this year and they dont have time to do one nail with a heart and gold lines on one nail after spending an hour on my nails last 2 visits. My wife made an appointment, as a regular client. While performing nail work on my hand the nail person advised me she had a "client" and turned me over to the manager/owner. I asked her why I wasn't considered a "client" and got no response. Further within a couple days one of the nails she worked on began to peal. The atmosphere is not friendly; generally the whole staff communicates among themselves using Vietnamese rather than English. That situation bothers my wife and I a lot; (I normally have gotten pedicure there.) we feel that is a very unprofessional business practice. read more

This place in general was not bad but it really needs a good cleaning. The bathroom was not very clean, could use a coat of paint and the curtain to the back room was filthy. When I mentioned to a neighbor if went there they cringed and recommend a place not far away that was " a lot cleaner". read more

I've been here a handful of times and it's always because I don't have time to go to VN Nails near Costco where I prefer to go (they get 5 stars from me). Kiwi Nail has always done a cheap job trying to take shortcuts wherever possible. But today I've had it and will never go back! After getting the typical shabby job on a fill with French tips, I accidentally smudged two nails really badly. They needed to be repainted and I asked her to do so... I even offered to pay extra. The nail tech came over to look and she pressed the clumps back down and painted right back over the mess (didn't even keep the paint in the lines) then slathered so much varnish over the train wreck that it was literally dripping down my finger. After my nails were dry enough to leave, another tech rang me up and the receipt had no place for a tip. When I asked, he told me I had to pay tips in cash... Well it's lucky for me I didn't have any cash. He said I will have to tip her next time. NEXT TIME??!! yeah right! There will be no next time! Plse stay away from this salon, at least for pedicure. They use extremely harsh chemicals which burned my feet (the bottoms of my feet are still sensitive) and in addition, the guy cut me really deep on the side of the heel after using this enormous scraper; it is, as of today, not healed after 10 days (I am not subject at all to infections); I went back and complained to the manager. He gave me my money back, but that does not take care of the problem today. read more

I've come here several times and even used them for my for my wedding mani/pedi. This place is very clean and the people are nice and do a great job. An added bonus is that there is a seperate room where the acrylics are done, minimizing the fumes, which is a big deal for me because I usually get headaches from that smell. read more
