Horrible!!! My friend and I have been going to Venus for about two years. I don't know how this got so screwed up.... We went for our relaxing pedicure. We had never seen the two people that were there before. I brought my own color. I was told $10 to put on color... They started clipping our nails without soaking in the water. Apparently when we called for pedicures, someone put nail cut. We could've done that ourselves. We walked out thinking what just happened!!?! Plus 2 toes had blood from cutting them dry!!! Ken is great. My dip nails stay and look beautiful for 2 weeks. However the other gentleman that works there is not as practiced. I had a very frustrating experience and he would not listen as I was providing feedback during mani. My nails are filed so far down I have no nail bed and they are like paper and raw. I was able to get in on same day with a call ahead appt. Ken did a very nice job and was able to fix a lousy pedicure from a different salon. My daughters brought me here to get a fill. I wasn't sure what to expect, but everyone was super nice and made me feel comfortable. I have really wide nail beds and am very self conscious about them. The place I went to for the full set just left my nails their normal size, so I wasn't too happy with the results. However, Brandon did my fill at Venus Nails and filed them down to make them narrow. He worked very fast and did a great job. My nails finally look the way I want them too. In fact, I can't remember the last time my nails looked so good! I went to Shauna after weeks of doing construction, with nails that were ratty, cuticles that were peeling, and gel polish that was hanging on by a thread. I never do this and I had very low expectations of what my nails would look like when completed. I walked into Venus on a Monday night after weeks of being too busy to make an appointment with my usual manicurist and finding her too busy when I was on my way. The shop is situated in the Trader Joes/Marshall's shopping center at Oracle and Magee, so convenient if coming from Tucson. I got in around 5:00 and it was empty (MONDAYS are awesome).he shop is clean, small, and easily accessible. Shauna immediately got to work cleaning up my cuticles and trying to repair the many broken nails that were bent and cracked below the skin line. She said it would help prevent infection...here's hoping! My nails looked far better than I expected when she finished and I am picky about my nails! I was in and out the door within 30 minutes, which is also a rarity. The manicure was quite reasonably priced and I will definitely be going back. read more

Craziest pedicure I have ever had. Had to pay extra to get callous removal. Nail technician only has one usable hand as the other was in a brace so I have to hold my own feet up which is not relaxing. She informs me that I have fungus which I don't. I have thickened big toe nail due to losing nail twice due to tennis. Exfoliating was putting salt rub on and rinsing it off. Massage was a few minutes using one hand. Then she wants me to go to bank to get cash because she doesn't want to pay credit card fee. Good grief! read more
