Typically I have been happy with the service here. I brought my friend with today for eyebrow threading and a lash lift. My personal experience was ok, but my friends what a nightmare. When she was taking off the excess dye from the lash lift she got black dye on my friends hair. They had to try to bleach it to get it out. In the meantime they did not cover her up and ruined her shirt with several bleach spots. In the end they didn't even give her the services for free. Such a disappointment. read more

This place is a hit or miss based on who does your brows. Ask for the owner or specific people who know to be good at what they do. I have had great experiences and regrets over the years when I have walked in. They are not my go to place but being the nearest to my house, I have used them over the years when I don't have the time to go anywhere else. My last visit was about a month ago, prices were higher than in the past and what's on the list probably due to COVID. A random person did my brows and upper lip, it was rushed and missed a lot of hairs that I had to pluck at home afterwards. read more

I would love for my brows to be a sense of pride but due to some unfortunate European genetics, it seems as though that will never be the case. I came here on a whim as it had been roughly 3+ months since a professional had tended to my brows and the end result was an admirable one. Sure, part of the upper arch on my right eyebrow is def gone, but this was super quick and relatively pain free and for $6 I can hardly complain. These days I have negative time in my hands so speed is something of importance in any service i get. This was probably the speediest threading I've ever gotten but it wasn't half bad. Besides my one (now kind of lazy) right eye, my eyebrows look trimmed and at least moderately groomed, which, after going so long without, is all I could've asked for. I went here today based on Nicole M's recommendation and I'm so glad she told me about Cutting Edge! It was a bit bigger and more busy than any threading place I've been to which I'm sure is a testament to the popularity. I wrote my name in the notebook & was instantly called back. The girl was so nice & patient with me as my eyes watered like crazy. She convinced me to go with threading even though I at first told her I'm not very good with threading (the eye watering) and usually do waxing. She said you get a much better look, more precision and it stays longer with threading. Okkkaaaay, you convinced me! And it did end up looking great! I got my eyebrows & upper lip threaded for $10! That's a better price than I've ever gotten in the 'burbs and I'm beyond happy with the results! Plus they have a stamp card...go 6 times and the 7th eyebrow threading is free. Got my eyebrows done here before my engagement pictures. Before she started i told her I was getting this done for my engagement pictures figuring shed take her time to make sure they were right so i was surprised to see when she was done that there were so many Obvious missed hairs. I mean like long pieces sticking out very clearly and she must have just not even checked to clean it up. At all. Laziness. The fact that i had to go out and tweeze in my car because there was so much missed, made it clear they didn't care. Wish id gone somewhere else. Very disappointed in the laziness. read more

Cindy is just amazing! I have been going to her for years now. My kids love going to her as well . she is always attentive to your needs and makes sure to listen to what you are looking for. She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable . I love my haircuts with her, they always turn out exactly how I want it to. I go to Avni for my eyebrows and the threading job is perfect every time ! I told her the first time what I was looking for n since then she remembers how I want it done. Prices are very reasonable. I have been going here for over 10 years for eyebrow threading. Never disappointed! I went to another place once with a friend and it was a disaster! So I will never leave this place. I have visited this parlor today, I have done leg waxing and hand waxing and eyebrow threading. They have not done the waxing properly. Most of the hair is still exist and the lady which she has done the service is not even responded properly when I shown her the hair which is left over. I got worst service. read more

Eyebrow/eyelash services. The tech Patty that provided services for threading the eyebrows did an excellent job. The other Tech whom did not provide me with her name dyed my eyebrows and did a curl lift to my eyelashes. She wiped the eyebrow dye into my hair giving me about a nickle size area in the front of my White and silver bangs a black spot! Lucky for me (I suppose) there was a hairdresser there that mixed up some bleach to try and help with this situation. It did take out the dark brown/black color but I am left with a dime size coffee stain in my bangs that did not come out. Is it noticeable? Yes it is. My bangs are mostly white with a touch of silver so yes you can see it. Then when the tech was putting on the bleach she did not cover my clothing. Bleach then splattered to my new sweatshirt that now has bleach stains to the arm and chest area. Then to add insult to this I was charged $72 for all services rendered. And one time she said she was sorry. It is really a shame how this turned out as Patty was excellent, but I will not service a business that serviced me in this way. My advice to the Tech would be pull back your clients hair and put a cape on your client! My advise to the public is find another establishment that already knows to do this. $6 for an efficient, nicely done eyebrow threading. Yes, $6. That alone is pretty remarkable. Oh, and they dole out a punch card - your seventh threading is free. Yes, ma'am. This is not an upscale, chi-chi salon with waterfalls, spa services or cucumber water. No, this place means business. You walk in, pick up the pencil and the pad of paper on the small card table, write your name down and wait for one of the many threaders to call your name. Sit your butt in the chair, place your fingers on your eye where the nice lady tells you to and wait. 4 minutes later you'll have nicely shaped brows! If you need a tissue or a bit of generic lotion on your brows afterwards, they have that available...but beyond that, it's pretty bare bones. And that's just fine by me - my brows are cleaned up and shaped up! read more

How can you beat $6 eyebrow threading? I used to get my eyebrows waxed downtown, but Cutting Edge is so much cheaper and closer to home. And threading is so much gentler on the skin! I've been coming here on and off for a few years now, and I keep coming back because it's quick and cheap. Half the time, my eyebrows are perfect, and I swear it's the cheapest pick-me-up out there! Other times, there are patches they clearly missed, and I just have to look at it as a good starting point for tweezing them on my own. I wish they were more consistent -- it makes me so sad when it turns out to be one of those "starting point" days! And as other reviewers have notes, they aren't very friendly. But this place isn't popular because of its customer service. You come here because eyebrow threading is just $6 -- no other reason. Also, I'd recommend going on a Saturday. That's when they're the busiest, but also when I've had the most luck with my eyebrows turning out perfectly! On Saturdays, there are three ladies working solely on threading, and the process is much smoother. read more

This place is always crowded and seating is basically 2 seats. 3. Wait patiently and stretch your arms to prepare for the awkward "hold your eyebrow up" maneuver on your face. 4. Listen for your name. When it is called, proceed to chair your "threader" is at. 5. Awkward "hold up your forehand" maneuver time. 6. Let the threaders do their magic! The best $6 you will spend. I love getting my eyebrows threaded at cutting edge! No appointment necessary, never more than a few minute wait, and quick, professional service! I don't have a regular aesthetician that I see, but they all do a wonderful job. I always feel better about myself when I leave, they never "over shape" my brows or make them too thin. I went here specially for eyebrows because a friend of mine referred me and this is what I experienced... 1- upon arrival considering the holiday weekend and how busy this place is... This place is run by Indian ladies, very friendly and welcoming when you arrive. 2- place is located in a plaza. 3-upon entry place looking super clean and inviting 3- this place offers... Nails.. Manicure, pedicure, hair, eyebrows threading which my eyebrows turned out amazing. 4- I'm not sure if they have a restroom since I didn't ask. 5- nails are only from Monday thru Friday. 6- they take cards but make sure you have cash for tips . I didn't and I felt so bad because they could charge my card extra for tip :( 7- I will definitely come back here for eyebrows and try the rest of the services they offer since this place was so welcoming and inviting. Gosh this place is cheap, quick and very good! I've been threading my eyebrows for a while and I would go to the mall to get it done. Recently a friend told me about this place and I decided to try it out. I am so glad I did!!! It literally took me 5 minutes to sign in my name in the notebook, sit on the chair, pay $6 (plus a tip of course) and I was ready to go! I used to pay $13 for my eyebrows before!!!! Stopped by here due to a spontaneous Groupon I purchased for a Brazilian wax. I've had one before but this was my second time. As I pulled up to the location, I was weary of getting such an intimate service done at a shady strip mall. I walked in and noticed that this wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing salon. I was directed to a small room with bright lights. The waxer asked me what I wanted and I replied a Brazilian. When I looked down, she removed everything...which is a hollywood. The experience was very clinical. The procedure was more painful than my previous experience. When I told the waxer I needed a break since it was so painful, she gave me a few seconds and didn't listen to me. She acted as if I was holding her up. Overall, I left feeling extremely dirty and regretted my decision for ever buying the Groupon. I should've went with my gut feeling and left as soon as I walked in. You definitely get what you pay for, and I wouldve paid more for a salon experience. read more

I used to love this place to get my eyebrows threaded there often, but then once the lady literally took off half my eyebrow.. You don't come back from that. I will say eyebrow threading there is a deal, but it's pretty janky inside. Maybe not the cleanest place and also just not spa like. Haven't gone back since they threaded off half my eyebrow (since I'm still trying to grow it back..) and I was unhappy. If you like thing eyebrows, go there ! read more

I worry after trusting Yelp to give me Grade A reviews, why this place has 5 stars... I came in to get my eye brows threaded and walked out burning and angry. It took two minutes which is faster than usual and I though maybe my hair growth wasn't as bad but when I went home to look in the mirror I saw patches that we completely visible. The next day I though I would just go back until I noticed my skin broke out with rashes and hoping it would go away I waited 2 weeks; yeah two weeks comes around and I now have a permanent scar above my left brow. Not what I was looking forward too. That's what I get for paying $5 dollars less than the mall. I learned my lesson, sometimes you really do need to pay more for quality. read more

My favorite place to get my eyebrows threaded. Been going here for almost 15 or more years. Even though I moved to AZ I still come back into town every summer to get my eyebrows threaded here. They are the best. I haven't been able to find a good threader in AZ so this is why I come back so they can fix my eyebrows. Very friendly and welcoming and the whole family comes in with me.
