(This is an updated review) it's been a year a year now that i've been taking my son (now 6) to kirti, and i still stand by what i said - she's great!! we have never left even once being upset. she has done perfect work every single visit! she's even been working with my sons funky cowlicks and practically retraining the pattern! she's the bestttttt. i know finding someone to cut kids is tough here in reno, but she's the best around. I used to take my stepson to Cookie Cutters and this lady named Laura did his haircut every time we went there because she did an absolute amazing job of cutting his hair and doing cool designs. Unfortunately, Cookie Cutters has been out of business for a while now and I just haven't found thee place that will be my go-to person for my stepson until now. My husband used to go here because Jennifer did a a good job on his hair until one day she wasn't available and he was in need of a haircut and found a different place to get his hair done and no longer wanted to come back here, but just know a lady named Jennifer does a good job! When my husband referred me to take my stepson here, I was hoping to see Jennifer but she wasn't there yet so a lady named Kirti took us and I told her what we wanted for him, an undercut, cleaning the top a little, clean up the sides and an easy lightning mark. Kirti did it and done a nice job! She's also a sweet and communicative lady. She said she can do other designs so I look forward for us to come back and have my stepson try something new. It's been 2 years since my last review, thought I would give it another update. And yes, I am still with Albany! For a guy with commitment issues I would say this one outlasted all my past relationships LOL. During the time when was on her maternity leaves, I tried several other person at different barbershops but none of them can cut my hair as good as Albany. She understands Asian hair, and Asian hairstyles. Prob because she was once into kpop back in high school according to her. lol. Remember to make appointments with her ahead of time, as she's very popular and is usually fully booked most of the times. read more

I'll admit that I'm bummed it took me so long to find out how cool it is to have yourself a go to person that always gives you an awesome cut. I was always going to Supercuts, Cost Cutters, Great Clips etc. so I've probably had over 100 different people cutting my hair throughout my lifetime. Probably 6 or 7 years ago I settled into frequenting Sports Clips since I could always watch sports and get a tad of pampering with my cut which is what brought me to Cutz Unlimited. I met Albany at Sports Clips one day and she gave me the best cut I've had in my life. I was so impressed I started requesting her every time. And after a year or so she finally uprooted and came over here. She always does a great job and I still get to get a steamed towel treatment with my wash after the cut since they do that here as well! They have a handful of stylists including the owner Christian who seems like a nice guy. Everyone here has a steady flow of regulars so walk ins usually don't fare well since everyone is typically booked pretty tight for the day. If you haven't found yourself an awesome hair stylist that really makes you wanna brag about your cut I highly recommend finding one. I always gets tons of compliments on my haircut after I get it and it makes me feel awesome! read more

Several months back I needed to get my teenage son a hair cut, badly. After trying the usual spots that had hour long waits I popped in here. Two barbers on site and one could do it!! Every time my girlfriend takes her son here (2 times) she gets the same dude "Mark" and both times I've had to take clippers to his head and shave it all off just to clean it up I mean it's uneven on both sides the top is all different lengths it just looks like he stuck his hair in a garbage disposal he's a really nice guy and super good with the boy but his cuts are not up to par for a professional I've seen much better haircuts come out of a beauty school I really wish I could get my $30.00 bucks back and go to sportclips and get a real barber fade with someone who knows what they're doing Mark you should really consider going back to school and learning the basics of haircutting 101 we won't be back! read more

I really wish I could give negative 20 on a star rating. There's just so much to say. If there cuts were good fine I could excuse there disgusting mouths and how they talk in front of children! I have been going to Christian(the owner of Cutz Unlimited) since 2011 before he owned the shop. I followed him when he opened up shop because he did such a great job with my skin fades and he was the only person my son wanted cutting his hair since he was 2(he's now 8). Christian is fun to BS with while you're in the chair, he does a great hot towel while getting your cut washed and has good products for your hair to offer. Cutz has other stylists and a person to do threading for eyebrows(I have not done this) but they're very friendly stylists in the shop and I will always come here. Make sure to call and make an appointment because Christian is highly sought after for cuts. read more

I have been a happy loyal customer for 3 years until today. Not only did I schedule an appointment for 3PM Monday 7/19, but I planned my whole day around it and took time off early from work to ensure that I made the appointment since I was unable to get in on Saturday like usual. The sign on the door said "OPEN", yet nobody was there. Lights off, business phone disconnected, Christian not answering his cell. To top it off, it is absolutely downpouring outside. It was good while it lasted, but this changes everything. Ghosting a client shows a complete lack of professionalism. Time to find a new barber.
