I dropped my car off on Monday for some body repairs. I wasn't in an accident, thankfully. These were self-inflicted. They gave me an estimate and said the car would be ready on Friday. Keep in mind, this is the Friday before the 4th of July weekend. I thought....no way.....they'll call me and say they were delayed....holiday, parts, blah, blah....blah. It didn't happen...not even close. Pedro called me at 9:30am on Friday morning and said my car was ready. Holy somole guacamole.... When I arrived, not only was my car ready, they had vacuumed the interior and washed the exterior. It was beautiful and repaired perfectly. It looked new and the price was exactly as quoted. I didn't have to have repairs done to my car, but Chula Vista Auto Body still provided a helpful service, and were extremely generous about the whole thing. What happened was this: I had decided to change out the headlight assembly units on my car because the old headlights were very dim, and the lenses had been sandpapered so much that very little light was getting out. However, in order to swap out the headlight assembly units, I had to remove the front-bumper cover. It wasn't hard to remove, and the assembly unit was just a matter of unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one. But getting the plastic bumper cover snapped back into place afterward was a beast of a job for me. I worked at it for two hours one night, and two hours the next morning. In the end, I still couldn't get that bumper cover back together again. I called Frank Subaru because my car is an Outback, but they were very hesitant about taking on the job. They finally offered me an appointment six days into the future. I hung-up the phone and called Chula Vista Auto body. They asked me to bring the car in that afternoon, but because I had another appointment they had me bring it in the next morning at 9. I'm glad I did because within five minutes their technician was able to get the bumper cover properly snapped into place. On top of that, they refused to charge me for the service. I'm never going to replace the headlight assembly units on my car again . . . ever! It looks easy in those YouTube tutorials, but there's always some complication in real life. But if I need body work in the future, I'm going to bring it to Chula Vista Auto Body. read more

My vehicle was vandalized with spray paint and I called to get it repaired. They were able to see me the same day I called. I waited a bit to be see but that was understandable with everything going on. Jose was the representative that assisted me. He told me he would take my car to the back and see if he could take the spray paint off in hopes to avoid getting a new paint job. He was able to do it and saved me $500!! They are efficient, timely, professional, friendly, customer service-centric and, most importantly, they do great work! On this most recent occasion I decided, while my car was with them, I wanted them to paint my faded hood. They repaired my bumper, re-aligned the trunk and quarter panels, and painted my hood all within a week. It looks amazing! They even cleaned my headlights at no extra charge to me. A few weeks ago my front right bumper was smashed in a hit and run out front of my house. The fender and bumper were bent so badly that they were touching the tire if I had a passenger. Of course I wasn't able to get the other drivers insurance info. So I brought my car in for an estimate of the damage. While he was checking the damage, I mentioned that I'd be fine if they could just pull the bumper away from the tire. He said 'We could do that, please hand me your keys.' A few minutes later, he came back and told me he pulled the bumper away from the tire, and told me there was no charge. He said 'it's the least I could do to give back to the community for years of business.' I even tried to give him twenty bucks, but he wouldn't accept it. Long story short, I was changing lanes on the freeway and the car in that lane ran over at least almost half a blown tire and it flew straight into my car head on and I couldn't avoid it. It cracked my bumper in half, bent my license plate and cracked the license plate holder, cracked both brackets on the frame behind the bumper and pushed the font grill in. Went to a few spots to get quotes and came across Chula Vista Auto Body, who happened to also work with Wawanesa Insurance which is who we have. They did an AWESOME job. It would've been a same day job but I was let in dropping my car off. Victor, Jose and the rest of the staff were really nice people and easy to work with. My car looks as good as new and I am happy. They gave a good fair price to replace it, the light, and do the painting and said they would get it done in 3 days. Even spot brushed a mark on the rear bumper for no charge. All staff were polite and professional from the first phone call for a quote.
