We made sure the ceremony was short but sweet because we knew the BBQ on the grill would be distracting because the aroma coming from the grill was mouthwatering. My experience with CV BBQ Catering and Sean was excellent! My situation is a bit different as we had to cancel services due to personal reasons. However, Sean was incredibly kind and flexible in giving us back our deposit given that we gave him plenty of notice in order to secure someone else for our date. We signed a contract and per the terms he did not have to do that for us, but he did. He was very understanding to our situation. Even leading up to booking the services, he was very patient and prompt on answering all of my questions. Always seemed calmed and poised via email. While we did not get to taste the food (which I am very sad about), I am very impressed with the level of professionalism they offer. read more

We hired CV BBQ to cater my fathers 75 birthday party. From my very first email with Sean I was confident that they were going to do a great job. Sean helped us design a menu that was perfect for our event. On the day of the event the CV staff arrived exactly on time. They not only set up a fantastic serving table, but helped us set up and display some dishes that we had made for our guests. We asked that the food be ready to serve at 3:00, and at exactly 3:00 they were ready to go. Sean and his staff at CVBBQ are beyond AMAZING! We hired CVBBQ for our wedding reception and could not be happier. We were late to book a caterer, so when we called CVBBQ, they were already scheduled for that weekend. Luckily, the couple who booked them for their wedding decided to change their date and Sean called us back to see if we had found a caterer yet. We hadn't and jumped at the chance! All of their reviews are stellar and we really wanted some good ol' BBQ. We were not disappointed! They arrived on time and put together a beautiful set up with no instruction. We got compliment after compliment from our guests. and the staff was super friendly and very professional. After dinner they picked up empty plates and set aside our (party rental) cloth napkins. They even packaged the leftover food up and put it in our fridge. We literally had to do nothing! We had also hired bartenders through Sean and they were awesome too! Very friendly and fast and made our signature drinks delicious! While I was getting a drink, the bartender overheard me talking to my mom about when we should move the cake table to the reception area. Without missing a beat, he said, show me where the table is, I'll move it for you, and he did! I honestly cannot say enough great things about this company! From the start they were so easy to work with and we were even able to coordinate all our party rentals through them as well which was so nice. They were so helpful in advising the how much food we would need, and the selection was incredible. We booked them without a tasting and we could not have been more happy about the food! FANTASTIC FOOD and SERVICE! Planning our wedding reception Idyllwild required sampling plenty of BBQ. Sean and his team at CV BBQ was by far THE BEST! We arranged to meet with Sean at the Palm Springs street fair. Even though his team was extremely busy, Sean took the time to meet with us and share his passion and generous samples of his amazing food. Almost immediately, we knew he was THE ONE. Planning the menu for 150 people was a cinch with Sean's help. He knew exactly the amount of food to order. I highly recommend the Tri-Tip and the macaroni and cheese, but everything on the menu is really good. We served Caesar salad; tender, juicy tri-tip; spicy sausage; tender chicken; perfectly cooked and seasoned grilled veggies; non-fat mac n' cheese (just kidding about the non-fat. This was fully loaded and GREAT); beautiful, chunky, flavorful, potato salad; and buttery, grilled bread. Sean provided sauces for the meats, but the tri-tip and chicken were so flavorful and juicy that they stood on their own. We also served every drop of the fresh squeezed lemonade. Kids and adults loved the lemonade! All of it was served to perfection and enjoyed by our guests. The entire team was professional, efficient, and friendly. I will definitely use CV BBQ for my next big event. I'm already planning a Thursday night trip to Palm Springs to get my CV BBQ fix. read more
