The worst customer service I have ever witnessed in my life. You will get sicker just being here. Ok.... where do I begin. (And let me just preface that I have been to this place many times and the stories do not shift too far from this one.) Everytime I proceed toward the Pharmacy area there is always a line that stretches far past the plastic feet they have stickered to the floor. Like we are children and need a kindergrten visual on where to stand. The line is always into the make-up section, where I am forced to look at the new eyeliners and shadows they have on display. Finally 20 minutes later, with a new L'Oreal blush and opened bag of peanut butter pretzles in hand, it is my turn to pick up the Rx that I called in three hours earlier. Mind you that by the time I reach the counter there is always at least 2 angry patrons who are standing aside the counter, frusterated becasue their Rx is not ready. I ususally hear them arguing with a pharmasist who doesn't speak proper English anyway and I think to myself, "will I be right there with you in a second?" Then with peanut butter stuck to the top of my mouth, because I may not make it to dinner in this black hole, I proceed to give them my name with fingers crossed that they did their job three hours ago and got it ready. Well sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. One time they forgot to tell me that my Birth Control's perscription had expired when I called it in. So three hours later, when I am off work and the Doctor's office is closed for the weekend, I am told that my hormones will be out of whack for an additional 4 days because they forgot to tell me that key piece of information when I could have done something about it. "Thhhhanks... as blood boils through my veins." So I guess my point is this.... do not go here.... unless you want an ulcer and a new Wet and Wild shade. read more

Lots of options for seasonal decorations and candies. Clean store. Okay customer service in that they will open up an additional register if there is a line. The pharmacy is horrible. I always encounter a line when I'm there. The pharmacist and assistants do not make eye contact with the folks waiting, they don't smile or offer to move faster than a snail's pace and I would be surprised if they even say thank you. I dread going to this place for prescriptions. read more

Months back this CVS had a Pharmacist named Alex. Great person, who deserved to be call Doctor. Alex would not fit with this group now, so its a good thing he moved on. I had an Rx sent over this afternoon. When I called the current idiots to confirm it had been filled I was told their system was down, & I should call back. When I called back they said the system was up but somehow my Rx was not there. My wife drove to speak with them and got zero. We called our "backup Doc" as the normal is on vacation, and she was understanding and called in a new Rx personally. I immediately went to pick it up. It was 7:56 when I arrived, (they close at 8:00),. The technician ran from the counter as I approached and the LAZY person that sauntered to the counter wore a smock that said Pharmacist. She said they were closed, and I explained the situation, (I need the pills tonight), and she asked what I wanted her to do. I was stunned at the question, but said I wanted her to fill my Rx. She said I could drive to Irvine to pick them up but that she was closed. I would estimate my family Rx expense to be a little over $6K annually. Not much in the grand scheme of things for the shareholders of CVS, but it will make a difference for me knowing I will not be met with such indifference to a patients problems, even when they were caused by CVS's "system outage". I don't do this often, but this evening's antics by one of the pharmacists has prompted me to write this. I called and spoke with one of the pharmacists by the name of Darren Koba. I asked when they closed and he informed me that they close at midnight. I am less than a ¼ mile from the store, so I asked him if I could be there in less than 3 minutes if I could please pick up my prescription. I provided him my name and he confirmed the prescription that I was wanting to pick up, and I told him I'd be there momentarily. I quickly made my way to the store and pulled into the parking lot at exactly 12:00a. It took me all of 15 seconds to get through the front door of the store and I immediately saw that the pharmacy gates were closed. I asked the cashier that was on duty if there was anyone still in the pharmacy, and she pointed out Mr. Koba who was standing in her line with a 6-pack of beer. Seriously?? If he wasn't willing to wait for me, why didn't he just tell me that he was closing the department and to come by tomorrow??? That was the rudest, most inconsiderate manner for anyone to treat one of their customers that was desperate for their prescription. I don't care how much schooling the man has had. His work ethic and integrity are deplorable, and he has no business being in any kind of a customer service role. I think it's time to find a new pharmacy that actually values its customers. read more

After over an hour the manager finally came over after I had been requesting her for over 45 minutes. Only to tell us the picture makers have been down all day.. After waiting for 16 minutes on hold I was asked several times by several people in the pharmacy if I have been helped and then placed on hold again and again. Then when someone does come back on the line they dissconnect me!!! I call back and I am placed on hold for another 8 min! How am I supposed to call in RX's for a patient if no one will get the call???!!! Not happy! read more

I come here frequently for the convenience based items that I need. Usually it is for when my fiancé or I am sick or injured to get some supplies like over the counter medication or some Neosporin and gauze. Other times I come for late night snacks or drinks when everything else is closed since it's 24/7 which is highly convenient. The staff is friendly and will even help you look for items when you can't find it. It is a safe feeling environment which is important for late night spots. The store is huge with a ton of variety which is nice. It allows you to get even healthy snacks at night which is hard to find at gas stations and other convenient stores. It is priced pretty high for most items which is typical for convenient stores. The pharmacy is also pretty expensive but it's open late which is nice. They give you like 3 feet worth of coupons on your receipt which will help you save money which balances out some of the high pricing. Overall, it's not a bad choice for a late night stop. read more

I can't speak for everything at this CVS, but I have used their minute clinic and pharmacy twice. The minute clinic is like the best kept secret in south Orange County. The nurse practitioner was so kind and thorough both times I went. I was able to get in quickly (quicker than my doctor) and diagnosed within a short period of time. My meds were ready in ten minutes and I was out the door. I will always come here if I have minor issues (i.e. Strep, flu, etc). read more

Very convenient having a drug store that is open 24 hours to pick up items for illnesses that happen overnight. At first I had an issue with the pharmacy with a technician being rude and long lines, but that has gotten better with the addition of more pharmacy technicians. I love that they have a self-checkout for when lines are long. read more

This minute clinic here is fast & thorough, and the nurse practitioner I saw was great. (I believe her name was Elizabeth). Nothing is rushed and she really took the time to diagnose my symptoms. She then sent my prescription over to the pharmacy here and I had it within 15 minutes. I will definitely use again. read more

Only thing I like about this place is their hours of operation. I've tried to stay away from CVS because their personal seem to be miserable and it's reflected in their attitudes for the most part. However, I was forced to go their recently because it was 11:00 pm and I was in a lot of pain and needed a prescription filled in order to sleep that night. The prescription was for 30 pills and after looking in the computer they indicated to me that they only had 14 pills. Having no other viable option I agreed. Yet, somehow she was able to fill 18 pills.... hardly seems like something to complain about. However, I know that they use a lot of discretion when dispensing medication and it isn't filled on a first come first serve basis as it should. I called to get the remaining 12 pills and they instructed me that I would need another script to get the remaining 12. I called the urgent care for another script and they are requiring me to spend another $160 to be seen again before they will write another prescription. Both places are guilty of the "not our problem" mentality, that ultimately just puts the burden and expense back on the patient. This practice is one of the reasons why I try to go anywhere, but CVS to have my scripts filled. However when you're in a significant amount of pain at 11:00 pm on a Sunday night it was either that or the ER. CVS congrats you still made it a tough decision. read more

Utterly terrible! This has been my family's home pharmacy for 15 years. We simply assumed every pharmacy was like this. The latest and final insult is that they filled our last 2 prescriptions without using our insurance. We were horrified to see the prices on these prescriptions, but assumed our insurance coverage had changed due to Obamacare. Turns out they didn't even use our insurance. We paid ten times the amount we should have because we were naive enough to think that OUR pharmacy would do its job. All they do is fill prescriptions (and slowly at that). How could they not run it through our insurance??? We went to the nearby Walmart of all places and they were a million times better... faster, more professional, ran our prescription through our insurance without us even having to ask them to... as if it were all they do all day. As if they were a professional pharmacy. WE WILL NEVER GO TO A CVS PHARMACY AGAIN! read more

Minute Clinic-This place is a rip off. I had the flu that's going around. I went for antibiotics, I got 6 pills and when I asked for a refill they said I'd have to reevaluated which means another $129. What normal Dr. doesn't give you a refill. Don't go here. If I could give this pharmacy a 0, I would. My fiance just got off the phone with Darren in the pharmacy. I am outraged at his blatant disrespect for customers. This month, like every month, he requested his prescription refilled after 25 days. Little did I know, he was leaving to go on a trip cross-country early on Monday morning so it was especially important that he have it filled at the 25 day mark (this is what his insurance allows & he dropped off his prescription yesterday). He asked Darren to run his prescription through insurance to see if it was approved. Darren told my fiance that he couldn't pick it up until the 28th day. My fiance then told him that he can't wait that long for personal reasons and that he need it filled at the 25 day mark like usual. Darren raised his voice, insulted my fiance, accused him of lying, and told him that he had to provide proof of his trip. He even stated that even if my fiance's insurance DID allow the prescription to be filled, he would block it because "he's a liar." What he failed to understand was that my now fiance wouldn't disclose my detailed plans of WHY he needed it because he was planning a surprise trip to propose to me. Since I heard all of the commotion and asked for an explanation, he ended up telling me about the trip and just gave me the ring. Now I get to remember this situation as my proposal. Thanks for that. AVOID THIS PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS. -------------------------- UPDATE -------------------------- I brought proof of my flight to Darren the next day and we worked everything out. I can't believe some people gave this pharmacy 5 stars!!! This place needs to get its act together. I don't know who manages this place but geez, get another one to replace the incompetent one. I went into this store on Saturday, 8-3-2013, and there were 3 workers there. Mind you, I have been waiting for my son's prescriptions to be refilled for a week! The gal at the counter tells me that they are waiting for more pills because they ran out. I told them that I knew this and that they have been giving me 4 pills at a time until they get the full prescription. Lo and behold...they have it in stock and were able to fill it for me. Instead of giving it to me right when they were filled, they had me go BACK and wait in line for the pills. WTF? They get 1 star for being open 24 hours (the ONLY reason I go there) but that's about it! I was even twice offered a candy bar if I would give them a good review. The ONLY time I saw them working hard was when this guy probably from corporate, was observing them. Numbnuts running the show here. Gotta love having a 24 hr pharmacy nearby for late night emergencies, but there's nothing worse than taking two sick toddlers out of the car to drop of a prescription at CVS and waiting for an hour for it to be filled and check out. Extremely incompetent pharmacy. As there are new rules regarding controlled substances which is not their fault I dropped off my prescriptions in which they stated I had a couple of days to wait before they could fill. I then went back to my doctor and requested a new prescription for 30 days so that I did not have to go back and forth to the pharmacy given I recently had major back surgery. I dropped off the new prescriptions and when my wife picked them up they only filled one as they stated they already billed my insurance for the other one. I then requested a refund and to have everything reversed as they billed my insurance before I even picked up my medication. After haggling me for about an hour no compassion for the pain that I was going through. I refuse to have anything to do with this store. Luckily after they refunded me and my insurance I was able to get my prescription filled at Walgreens in the Lowes center best part it was actually cheaper there. :) read more

For the past 6 years I've regularly visited CVS in Aliso Viejo, CA for prescriptions plus various and sundry items. With very few exceptions, my experience has been excellent. I especially value Debbie, one of the techs who always greets me by name and is uniformly friendly and extremely helpful. My favorite pharmacist is Alex, who gets it right each and every time. The one caveat is the "Extra Bucks"...I'm hooked on all the great deals. Keep up the good work people! read more

I am actually reviewing the Minute Clinic onsite here at this CVS. First of all this is the best kept secret in Orange County! You can check online how long the wait is and you can also reserve your spot in line if there is a wait. The NP gives a thorough exam and diagnosis, then can directly call your scrip into the pharmacy. If you need any non-scrip drugs there they are. The Nurse Practitioner I saw today was Chris Dipaola, and not only was she kind, empathetic, thorough and efficient, she noticed a lump in my neck that I had not noticed and was not being seen for. Every month I go in to pick up my medicine, today, it's that time of the month again where I go in and pick up my meds... today was a little more urgent than normal because I'm going on vacation tomorrow so of course having epilepsy it is very important for me to receive me meds ever morning and night. So I went in and said my name and birthday as per usual except this time they said they didn't have anything for me. Now at this point I was like o okay something is wrong i always have my medicine on automatic refill something must be incorrect with your computer. A little time goes by and they still say that I am incapable of receiving my medicine because my perception has expired. Well the very funny part of this is that I had an appointment with my neurologist a month ago to have a new refill and I turned it in as per usual because why would I carry around a perception for month. Well long story short these people this company that claims they want to help people LOST MY PRESCRIPTION. Then went on to call me a liar about turning it in and everything. Went to get a flu shot for myself and my child. When they checked us in at the 'drop off' counter, the guy asked how old my child was because children have to be 10 years old to get a flu shot from CVS. Since my child is 10, he said everything was good and told us to wait over to the side. After about 25 mins, I asked the lady at the front (her name was Judy). She gave me attitude and said I should have already filled out some paperwork. I told her that no one told us we needed to do it. She gave me the papers but mixed up the names on all the papers. It was such a mess and we had to cross a bunch of things off. She told me again to wait to the side. After another 30 mins, I asked why we haven't been helped. The original guy said 'Oh, you still haven't been helped?' but never called or walked to tell anyone. Finally after being there for an hour and a half, the pharmacist finally came to give us our flu shots but immediately told me that she can't give my child the shot because she wasn't 12 years old. I told her that the guy at the front said 10 years old. The pharmacist said "hmm, I'll have to check the protocol manual"...seriously??? How do these people not know what their protocol is when they supposedly give flu shots all the time!!! After waiting another 15 mins for her to 'check protocol', she said she couldn't do it and directed me to the Minute Clinic in the store. We were out in 5 mins after the Minute Clinic...of I every go to this store again, I will do the Minute Clinic, never the CVS pharmacy, that place is a joke. read more
