He pushed on saying that he has been a pharmacist a very long time and has never seen a doctor order these prescriptions with those dosages so he would like to know why. I told him he didn't need to know why and just give me my medication. He also said that he noticed that I'm allergic to sulfa drugs (antibiotics) and said ibuprofen was a sulfa drug. That is not accurate. However, I would like to mention that there is a very nice tech in the pharmacy. She is always very kind to my son and me.

They are not the easiest to work with but I hope the saving would be worth it. The self checkout was frustrating for someone new to CVS. It summoned help after I fumbled around a few minutes. She transferred my stuff to a cashier register to complete the purchase and explained to me how things work. Hopefully the process will be easier if/when I shop here again.

However, the new self-service kiosk has made the pickup process much more efficient. Being able to scan your CVS membership and quickly pick up prescriptions through the automated system saves a lot of time and makes the overall experience much more convenient. I rarely find one that cares, and let me tell you, this one cares. They got SLAMMED with so many more patients due to the closure of the Rite Aid up the street and they handled it. This is a very small Walgreens, and they have high volume due to Laguna Woods. I have so many monthly medications and the pharmacist herself is so patient with me. I end up calling once a month and all she does is take her time, which she doesnt have, to take care of me, and answer the same old questions. Im just impressed and really appreciate this kind of customer service. We dont see that kind of service these days.

A Google search shows Target has the same medicine for $18.89 and CVS is at $23.49. I did not expect to pay convenience store prices at a major drugstore chain. My fault for not doing my research. That's long enough to get a good picture of their overall professionalism, work ethic, ability to multitask, keep store clean and stocked, more recently - they quickly 100% met Covid protocols, ... you get the picture. This store has never been a disappointment?! Some at the pharmacy have come to know me, ask about my family while the younger crew does not. Yet all provide friendly, accurate, patient service all the time. The store has an amazing selection and well stocked so you can honestly get grocery essentials, pick up a gift and wrapping, any OTC meds, RXs, and let's not forget the delicious ice cream - in one trip! This is the second time my husband has gone into a weekend without needed medication because of delays and communication issues at the pharmacy. In both instances, the prescription was not ordered or filled in a timely manner, requiring multiple calls between the pharmacy and the physician's office. By the time the issue was addressed, the medication was out of stock and unavailable until Monday, leaving a post-surgical patient to manage increased pain unnecessarily. Most recently, after waiting more than 30 minutes for a refill, the pharmacist asked whether my husband was feeling better. When he explained that he had recently started physical therapy and his pain had actually increased, she responded that she was "hoping have him decrease his medication use". Decisions regarding pain management and medication tapering should be made by the treating physician based on the patient's condition, not suggested during a pharmacy transaction. I fully support responsible prescribing and medication monitoring. However, patients recovering from significant injuries and surgery should not have to repeatedly navigate delays, stock issues, and commentary about treatment plans that have already been established by their physician. The lack of coordination and consistency has resulted in unnecessary stress and avoidable pain.

They did not know how to provide proper customer service, clearly explain CVS policies, or respectfully assist their customers. We live in 2026, and Lake Forest is a diverse community with many Hispanic families. Every customer deserves to be treated equally and with respect, regardless of their ethnicity, culture, or the language they speak. If these employees do not like assisting the diverse customers who live in this community, then they should not be working in customer service. CVS Human Resources, the store manager, or the district manager needs to visit this location and investigate how customers are being treated. These employees need immediate customer service training and must be held accountable for their rude and unprofessional behavior. Customers visiting a pharmacy may already be dealing with stressful health situations. They should not also have to deal with disrespectful employees who make them feel unwelcome.
