Last night my father had texted me I. My way home way from work asked if I could stop off to pick up my mom medication. He told me the pharmacy was opened to 8pm mind you I work in the city and take public. Transportation home. By time I arrived to the pharmacy it was little after 7pm and it was closing. I asked the pharmacist if they any way I could get my mother medicine, there response we can transfer it to the another pharmacy but weee closed. The assistant manager in training took some kindness on me and told we're i ot doing this on w but you should know we changed the hours. I said no outside it said 8pm and there a sticker on the door saying 7pm,. Long story short why even have a cvs here when most them close at 7 and only close 9. Don't ever park or go to this location. I went shopping here several months ago. After I Went shopping at a neighboring shop nearby. I came back to find my car towed and I had to walk 40 minutes to get car back. The owner or what appeared to be a manager was laughing. Seemed to me he got a thrill calling and getting other peoples cars towed. Leaving my car for 20-30 minutes parked does not constitute a tow. There is a need for better management. read more

WASTED 1HOUR AND NO FLU SHOT I came for a flu shot, waited until the lunch period ended, and asked if I could get one. They agreed but said I needed to wait for half an hour. I agreed and waited nearly an hour. Then they asked, "Did you check in?" I said no. They then told me I needed to make an appointment online in advance and check in for a flu shot. This CVS is really convenient if you're catching the 57 or 66. Located right in Allston it's also right on the bus line so I can quickly grab something before getting on the bus. The staff are helpful if you need them, but not overbearing if you want to be left alone. They also always have what I'm looking for and I've had no problems with what I need being in stock. I love this CVS, I just wish they had the self-checkout. Otherwise, it's great! read more

There aren't a lot of CVS locations right in the city that are deserving of 5 stars, but the Brighton Ave location's secret weapon is Hermina, the awesome woman I met yesterday at the register and she is hilarious. I walked in and found one of those "press the button and it plays Christmas music things" which are usually annoying, but this was a Snoopy with antlers, and his ears and antlers swayed to the music. Talk about great customer service! My work bff hurt her shoulder and was having some serious pain shooting through her arm and up to her neck. She is stubborn so she wouldn't go get it checked out so I headed to CVS. It is a fairly big store and when we walked in and she asked someone at checkout which direction to go to find a sling. Before we could round the corner a women asked us what we were looking for. She was just coming into work and hadn't even dropped off her bag and keys yet much less check in and she was already directing us and calling to check on inventory. A manager came right over and pulled it right off the shelf and handed it to us. Talk about speedy fast! It was adjustable so it fit just right. I love this CVS! It's clean, has really friendly staff, and made the area so much better with the massive renovation that they did. The parking lot is well lit now at night and I feel pretty comfortable walking through the area without worrying about my safety. They've even got a really neat bike rack in front to encourage bike commuting. I've used the photo services, pharmacy, and coupon center here. It's a step above the other CVS on commonwealth and WAAYY better than the Walgeeens nearby. read more

It took one 50 minutes to print 5 PDF pages (black and white) (compared to 2 min elsewhere) - the printer is very (very very) slow - one out of the two Kodak screens does not work - one hour lost for a price surprisingly high. I do not recommend at all if you are looking for an efficient service. read more

I really only go there because it's convenient, but it's pretty good. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the milk is expired every single time I buy it. Can't tell you how much money I've wasted on sour milk. But Hermina makes it all better. Haven't seen her in some time so I'm hoping she still works there. Fantastic staff, VERY helpful. The pharmacy kept telling me that my doctor was not responsive to authorizing a referral for my medicine. this was an old problem. cvs kept calling the wrong number. mass general even called cvs twice to let them know without success. i got a long message from mgh about this. mgh cares. not cvs though. i had told them to switch the mgh number to a new number. i called the pharmacy. i was on hold for 6 minutes no pick up. i called again and was on hold for 15 minutes. walked in the cvs. talked to the manager. i showed him the 15 minutes wait on my cell. he could not have cared less. they're busy. not they weren't. no one in line. three techs and no pickup while i was holding the phone in front of the pharmacy. asked to see the pharmacist. explained 6 minutes and 15 minutes holding. he could not explain. there were no customers in the store. he took my information and set up the referral with the correct number. we'll see if we get more calls from cvs telling me they can't reach the dr. good luck. this used to be a great pharmacy but all those involved are long gone. service could not have been worse not only from the pharmacy but from the store manager on call. the manager was totally unprofessional. he should be fired. read more

I have the world's most annoying insurance and the staff here are always patient, helpful, and go out of their way to find out information on how to navigate the twists and turns of the not-always-obvious paperwork that comes with my insurance. Hi, Does anyone know who owns the parking lot for this CVS. I ask because my daughter parked there and her car was towed. Robert's Towing towed her car for $131.00 which I find out now was overcharged and then scratched the car leaving over a $1,200. damage to the vehicle. I looked on Yelp and saw Robert's had over 100 bad reviews and a lot of damaging cars. I was wondering if the owner's of the parking lot knew what a dishonest company they use to tow people's car, (mostly young student's cars). Hopefully if they know what this tow company is doing, they will find a reputable company to start towing cars. Thank you! read more
