Prices were commensurate with the normal market and I was at the register to pay for it within minutes. The automated voice system is SO infuriating. When I try to call and check on precriptions for my elderly aunt, I can't get anywhere because her birth date doesn't match the brith date (mine) on the account attached to my phone number. They will tell you to wait for your prescription and then never call your name. An hour will go by. You ask where your prescription is, they tell you to get back in line. Another hour goes by. The cycle repeats. If you want to go mad go here I guess. read more

Their staff sucks. I am incredibly sick and I showed up 5-10m before closing, and a staff member was sitting inside alone on her phone and wouldn't open the door when I knocked. She looked at me and looked back at her phone. This disrespect is insane. She should be fired. 11/25/25 is the date of this incident. I hope this gets reviewed by management. read more

I have two kiddos and tolerated this location as my pharmacy to pickup their meds. I've never had a seamless experience but put up with the suboptimal service given proximity to my house. 2x in a row they've called saying a Rx is ready (two separate instances). I showed up and not only is it not ready, they don't even have the medication in stock. As a parent with a sick kiddo, this is super frustrating. I am switching pharmacies today and never stepping foot in this location. Not sure if this is a CVS or staff issue... not even sure if they care. Adios, CVS! read more

DO NOT SEND YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE!!!!! They will lose track of it and not add it to the system. There have been times where I go here every day for 7-10 days in a row, having to call my doctor to resend prescriptions every. Single. Day. I will get my medications almost two weeks late every time I come in here and they tell me that I made a mistake but I've never, ever had issues like this at any pharmacy in the country. (I have lived coast to coast at this point) This place is wildly mismanaged and unprofessional and I have no idea how any of these people got a job here or a degree in general. They don't answer the phones and lose crucial patient information every single day. Not only this CVS, but every CVS has officially lost my business. These guys are a joke. read more

Prior to the change in pharmacists my prescriptions were auto refilled and I had no issue. Today I call the pharmacy as I have gone without my prescription for 2 weeks and contacted my doctor for a refill who told me to contact the pharmacy. I was on call waiting for 20m and when I asked why this prescription was not auto refilled I was met with flippant disregard for my concerns and a pharmacist that had to audacity to complain to me about having other people to attend to. I went into CVS this afternoon and as I'm checking out Cynthia the worker was cashing me out and slammed my bag on the counter as she handed my bag to me, and it's not the first time she has done that. I said to Cynthia could you not slam my bag and she dismissed me and ask me would I like a bag. I spoke to the manager about what happened and she said she will talk to her, then she said how I pick fights with other customers and how I would have to work with her, and how I'm banned from the store because I said I don't feel comfortable shopping here, and I said why would you banned me I haven't did anything to cause issues. I've stood up for myself, I've had one other incident in the store which the manager was present and didn't do anything, for the manager to say how I pick FIGHTS was so ridiculous when she clearly see the customer walk directly behind me in my space as I was trying to ring out. Rita is the literal worst. She is rude to customers, rude to her staff, and just plain frustrating to work with. She blamed us for the loss of our photos and has not been transparent or clear in the responses to us, she also took forever to come to assist us after calling for her multiple times. Since my first review was taken down I would like to write another review since iam entitled of freedom of speech . I walked into this awful dirty cvs since I was in town for the US OPEN golf tournament . I needed my medication filled since I was leaving MA in a few hours for the airport My order was ready and when I walked in at 12:30 the security gate to the pharmacy was starting to shut . Hence the word starting . I asked them to please just grab my medication since I was heading to airport and I couldn't wait the hour for them to come back from lunch . We stood there longer arguing through through the half closed gate then it would of taken the pharmacist to grab my medication . This shows the awful customer service this cvs gives and how the employees care so much about arguing with a customer then helping them out . They did not give me the medication and told me to call another pharmacist in the next town I'm headed to! Wow ! Just disgusting . I said wow thanks . And a lady from the back yelled " your welcome " Another first class employee at this cvs location . I'm sure glad I don't live there . read more

A nice location I can hit on the way home from work. This is a large store, so it tends to have everything I need, including stationery, toys for the kids, groceries. Excellent location accross from the Cleveland Circle C line stop, and very close to the D line Reservoir stop Clean and well organized, the cashiers are friendly. A good location. And they have good hours. read more

This is your standard CVS. The focus is on self-checkout, but it can be troublesome and when you need assistance, it isn't always there. Still, the service at the pharmacy is friendly and knowledgable. I also really like the layout. It is in a convenient location and isn't one of those mini-CVS that you find randomly, like in Coolidge Corner. read more

I need to divide this review into two parts. Cleveland Circle location: 5 stars for the staff, who are attentive without being overbearing, polite and helpful. Meaning they'll ask you if you need help and if not, leave you alone! And they greet you upon entering and exiting. And 0 stars for the Pharmacy operations, not for the staff people. I created an account for my prescriptions, made sure it was not set for auto-renew, and when I first start getting the monthly calls asking me if I wanted to refill, I said NO. I will call when I'm ready. The second/third month of these calls, I specifically requested not to be called, yet month after month, someone calls to check on the status of my scripts (ie, do I want to refill them.) That's it. I'm deleting my pharmacy account. Update: Guess what...even after deleting my account, even after emailing the CVS HQ in Rhode Island who promised me my phone number was taken off their call list, I STILL get calls from this pharmacy. Seems they have my phone number in a different database and ignore my online account, ignore my 3-4 times I called live to this pharmacy to request they remove it! Even though CVS is on my blocked list, unfortunately it goes to voicemail. And the calls, yeah, Sat and Sun mornings! read more

I've been going to this CVS for nearly five years now, and I have to say that in that time, it has gone from being a 2.5-star place to more of a 4-star place. How, you ask? First and most importantly, last year they added four self-checkout registers, which speeds up the checkout process enormously. Really, it used to be de rigueur to wait in line at least 5-10 minutes when this place was manned by cashiers (or more accurately, "cashier"). Given how many people frequent this store, that was a serious drawback -- worthy of knocking an entire star off my rating. Now, however, the self-checkout lines generally move pretty quickly, and there's usually one or two actual cashiers available by the photo counter to check people out, too. Major improvement. Second, this store is immaculately clean for a CVS. I didn't even realize exactly how exceptional this is until I made a few trips to the CVS on Boylston and the one in Central Square... honestly, it's like night and day. I give major props for a store this busy remaining so tidy. Third, the pharmacy folks here are very helpful and nice. They always have been, but it's worth mentioning. Whenever I've had an issue with a prescription, they've been on top of it to clear things up and answer my questions. Fourth, they recently added a mini grocery section where you can buy fresh fruit and yogurt and some frozen items and whatnot. I wouldn't recommend doing all your food shopping here, but it's wonderful if you just need a couple things to tide you over. Like all CVS stores, the prices here tend to be a little higher than some other convenience places, but if you get a CVS Card and shop the sales, you can get some great deals on the essentials ($6.99 for a 12-pack of 1000-sheet Scott TP = a thing of beauty. I also stock up on Folgers coffee here when they mark it down). Also, be aware that this place is generally populated with BC students, especially late at night/on weekends when they want frozen pizzas after stumbling out of Scary Ann's next door. To be sure, such antics can provide some comic relief, but they can also slow down the checkout process when a group of them descends on the registers all at once. Just something to bear in mind. All in all, though, this is a pretty great quick-stop-shop in Cleveland Circle. read more

Ok let me start by saying the pharmacy people are nice. and that will be the last nice thing i say. I hate this place. Really, I do. Here is why. For some reason, no matter what time, what day you go in there, there is a strict mathematical formula going where: number or cashiers = X number of customers = 3x + 5. the cashiers have to be the slowest cashiers ever, one of them inspects every item carefully each freaking time before putting them in the bag. I have never seen one of them do anything that shows any sense of urgency or efforts towards being anywhere close to being quick, let alone fast. Whenever they are are short on people at the front, using one of the guys starts getting on the loudspeaker and repeats "People to dee front" over and over... and after an insufferable amount of time slowly employees manage to move out of the woodwork at a zombie paced crawl. One of the bigger CVS in the area. In comparison to the one in Coolidge Corner and the ones on Comm Ave near St. Paul Street as well as Harvard Ave. Since its big, it also has lots of stuff and I typically find what I need here. (except for brownie mix, they do not have it here). The greeting card selection in this store is far superior to the other CVS stores. The pharmacy has always been efficient in filling my prescriptions. This CVS also has a private parking lot. read more

This is my go-to pharmacy since it's down the street from my apartment. I've never had to wait absurdly long (I mean, it IS a pharmacy after all so you're bound to have a short wait). There's also usually plenty of parking, if that is important for you. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and if I'm speaking candidly here, the pharmacist is a really hot dude. It's a shame he only sees me when I'm sick and gross. read more

Rude service (and what it looks like from other reviews, useless) from the pharmacists. I went up to the pharmacist to ask a simple question about whether benzyl alcohol and benzocaine had similar effects since my girlfriend has an allergy to benzocaine. Rather than google, I thought I could simply asked a pharmacist that simple question. How odd of me to think that I would get some help about a drug question from a pharmacist! The pharmacist was so rude and off-standish to me when I asked and basically told me that I should go look into it. If you treat me like that when I ask you about an over-the-counter drug, then how would you treat me about allergies for a prescription drug? It is one thing to tell me that you are not sure and that I should maybe go check elsewhere just in case, but she treated me in an unnecessary rude manner. Every one else was fine. read more

Like everyone else I've visited countless pharmacies. While a lover of small local businesses I try to avoid chains. However, for CVS Cleveland I make an exception. Initially I started going because it was convenient. Yet, even after two moves I continue to drive there despite closer options. The reason, they are great at making sure you don't wait in line. They hire extremely well. The pharmacists are continually really nice. And, they actually care. I've had a frustrating insurance nightmare. But, they took the time to figure out a way for me to get hundreds of dollars back. It's extremely rare that I take the time to stop and write a review. But, they deserve the recognition. If you're looking for a new pharmacy or frustrated with your current one - try them. And, the clerks in the rest of the store are also super friendly and helpful. read more

This CVS has a nice selection of home goods - last minute snacks, drinks, late night runs for ice cream. I've always been greeted anytime I enter. The management staff was also super helpful and super accommodating when I had to get passport photos taken. Supplies of snacks can run out of stock fast because lots of college kids use this CVS. I've only had one bad experience at this location - a geriatric worker by the self-check out section wasn't as accommodating as other CVS employees. I was bagging some items with my partner and I asked for help. We figured it would be best to re-scan everything since the scale was being off. I asked for help and the old woman raised her voice at us. Whatever happened to the customer service 101? She still refused to help us. On the way out, we saw her helping out someone at self- checkout. If you have more than a few things, go with the cashier. read more

This review is for the pharmacy as I have never had an issue with the actual store. The pharmacy at this CVS is very bad. I get multiple prescriptions monthly and I have never successfully been in and out. This CVS often only has one out of two of my prescriptions or texts/calls me saying that the prescriptions are ready and I get there and they say they need a half hour. They just never get it right and it is quite frustrating. My friends have also had the same issues and I have these issues month after month, so this is a warning!!! Do not use this CVS pharmacy, you will regret it and waste a lot of time trying to communicate between your doctor and this pharmacy because they cannot do it themselves. read more

This place has everything I need. There is street metered parking and also a small private parking lot. However, this is not my favorite cvs. It seems gloomy and dim-lit inside. Service has been okay on my visits. The last time I was there, someone asked me if I needed help with anything and although I didn't the offer was appreciated. On a regular basis, this pharmacy is constantly understaffed. They had one pharmacist and two assistants and in the hour and 15 minutes that I waited (which was supposed to be 30 minutes - after undergoing a procedure where I was waiting for necessary common pain medications and a typical antibiotic), I watched the pharmacist who was unbelievably swamped. I am always surprised that this location can keep pharmacists as clearly management does not support their employees. People picking up medications are typically sick. The monopoly that CVS has is a problem. I wish there was a local pharmacy I could use instead. read more

Consistently understaffed. I live right down the street but I'll travel to another convenience store before I shop at this one because it usually seems empty, dirty, and something is broken every time I go in (the door, the self check out, etc.) The products are well stocked and easy to find and they have a good selection of seasonal products available. read more

The only thing that saves this CVS is the pharmacy. The pharmacists are always helpful, as opposed to the the rest of the store staff who are either stupid, ancient, or can't speak English. There were three people at the registers waiting to be checked out and none of the staff could be bothered to assist them. I like this location a lot. The people who work there are very friendly. They always have a greeter out front. That's a pleasant touch, even if the greeter doesn't quite nail it every time. It's nice inside and very sunny. It has a parking lot which is crazy in Cleveland Circle! It's a huge parking lot, too. I would be super surprised if I ever showed up and couldn't park there. Lastly, it has long hours which is great for people who work long hours or perhaps partake in social activities. read more

I've been living in the area for a number of years and even remember when this CVS was in the old location where the Chipotle is now. They've always had long check-out lines and apathetic cashiers, which I used to complain about, but I must say I hate the self check-out so much it makes me long for the olden days. I use my own shopping bag, which freaks out the self-check out machine, requiring the minder to come over to impatiently wave their card at the scanner to make the machine work again. Also I use coupons, which usually makes the machine want their mommy too, so I end up spending about the same amount of time as when there was a human cashier, but I get more frustrated and angry in the process (and somebody lost their job). At least before I could get a smile at the end of the transaction, even from robot lady! I avoid coming here now unless I have to pick up a prescription and can therefore check-out at the pharmacy with a real person.
