The pharmacy is very unprofessional. Long hold time on the phone and a very bad attitude when they do pick up.

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Halfway through last year they claimed that my insurance did not cover birth control, even though they had been giving me pills for six months under that insurance. At one point they could only give me one pack of birth control pills at a time, then they switched and claimed that I could get three packs of pills at a time under the same insurance. This year they switched me to a different generic because they forgot to place an order for my old generic. Now they are telling me I can't switch back to my old generic until I finish the other three months of this new pill that is giving me mood swings, nausea, and periods that last the full month. They are rude, unorganized, lacking the basic components of a functioning pharmacy, and clearly should not have passed pharmacy school. read more

For pharmacy only: encountered a number of various issues and would not definitely not use this pharmacy if it wasn't so geographically convenient. For example, here's my last visit: Pharmacist (after keeping me waiting for a long time while she pokes around on her computer without saying anything): Our system is down now. I can't fill your prescription. Me: Any idea on by when you'd expect it to be back up? Pharmacist: No idea. Me: Well, give me back my prescription then, I'll have to go to another pharmacy. Pharmacist: So you don't want to wait? Me: You said you had no idea when your system will be back up. Do you expect me to wait indefinitely? Pharmacist gives me a braindead look. read more

Pharmacy is awful. At least one out of three customers will have some sort of issue. Meanwhile the line grows. Since this doesn't happen at any other area pharmacies, I'd say the common denominator is the pharmacy not the customers. This pharmacy just does whatever they want. Doctor prescribes 3 mos. of pills, pharmacy doesn't tell you why the give you 1 mo., they just do. Would be nice if they could tell you it was Bc of insurance or Bc they just want to screw with you. It's like a fast food drive through - better check your order before you leave. I also find it very disturbing that they substitute drugs without notifying you. I've also gone in to pick up my prescription only to find they can't fill it Bc of insurance. How about a phone call so I can do something about it and I'm not a week out of a prescription? Next is my problem with the store. Cashiers constantly fight you on sales and coupons. It's like their training to attack and it's a frustrating waste of time. If you don't want to deal with the 47 coupons that spit out of the register and don't want to stock the store for weekly sales (has anyone else noticed they always out of anything on sale), then don't be a CVS. You're a convenience store. I can get 50 different wines here, but can't get the Advil I want. It's a joke. read more

Review for the pharmacy only - Due to convenience and distance, I choose to fill my prescriptions at this specific CVS. I'd say about 2 out of 5 times, this CVS will get my prescription correct the first time. If your doctor or doctor's office calls in the prescriptions for you, this CVS never "gets the call" which results in me having to drop off a hard copy prescription or play phone tag with my doctor's office to coordinate multiple call-ins. The staff/pharmacists are very nice and helpful in each interaction I've had with them but rarely can I get a prescription filled correctly in one move. If your doctor wishes to call-in, ask for a paper copy of the prescription because you will most likely go to pick-up or check to see if its being filled to be told that they never got the call-in and you'll have to drop off a new one. It seems I'll have to find a new pharmacy because the only thing this CVS has been consistent in is dropping prescriptions. Hopefully others will have better luck! read more

I go to this pharmacy because it's geographically convenient but the service is terrible. I've been putting up with it for months now and I decided it was time to warn others. I came in to pick up a prescription that was faxed over my doctor for strep throat. It was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived about 20 minutes later and when I asked if it was ready, the answer was no, it should be about 15 - 20 more minutes. They asked if I wanted to wait and I said yes. I waited around, got a few items but mainly waited right in front of the pharmacy area for 30 minutes. Finally, I asked if they had an idea of when my prescription would be ready. They dug through a basket with five other filled prescriptions on top of it and it was ready...so they were just going to let me stand around all day. They weren't going to page me in the store or even call me on my phone to notify me. Meanwhile, I have strep throat, walking around their store. This circumstance embodies my normal experience there. The pharmacy needs help. If you can avoid going here, I would. read more

The Pharmacy here is absolutely awful. I've been living here six months and hoping that my terrible experiences would be singular. They were not. Every time I come in, something is wrong. Today, I gave my name and instead of asking for my birthdate, the pharmacist just gave it and asked if that was me. Talk about insecure. I've been waiting for a prescription that I was told over the phone was ready for me for over 45 minutes. And I'm not getting pills that need to be counted-- I am waiting for an asthma inhaler. There is always a crazy long line and no one competent enough to check people out. Avoid at all costs! read more

Review for the pharmacy only: This is the most incompetent pharmacy I have ever experienced. The amount of time you have to wait to be seen is absolutely infuriating at any time of the day. The pharmacists rarely speak English, and they don't show any sort of hustle when there is a long line. Make sure to allot 30 minutes when picking up your prescriptions. Also, don't count on having the correct prescription filled the first time around. I literally made a yelp account to review this pharmacy because it's just amazing that this has been allowed to continue for a number of years. read more

This is the WORST pharmacy. It takes forever to fill/pickup your prescriptions. I'm currently writing this review while waiting in like like I have been for the last 10 minutes just to drop off a prescription. Just be prepared to wait and wait and wait if you're going to fill or pick up a prescription. read more

I really try to avoid going to CVS in favor of other drugstores, but this is a convenient location. I had a CVS coupon for Ben & Jerry's that was expiring so I went to the store and picked out a flavor I wanted to try. As Ben & Jerry's is usually $6.29 at CVS, a coupon stating "Pay only $2.99" was a great deal. I sent the coupon to my card before leaving for the store, but it didn't show up when I went to pay. I showed the coupon on my phone to the cashier and, after trying to just have me pay without using the coupon, finally said "well maybe the manager can change it." While we waited 5-10 minutes for the manager, she kept giving me dirty looks. I looked around to make sure no one was waiting in line behind me. Finally the manager came and the cashier told him "she has a $2.00 off coupon and she says she has another coupon but it isn't showing up." So I show the coupon for the ice cream on my phone, he takes the phone, he looks at the coupon. Both are hemming and hawing about not being sure if it's a valid coupon (it came from CVS, not a maufacturer's coupon). Finally, he re-rings the order, takes $2.00 off the ice cream (so I charged $4.29 when I should have been charged $2.99) and leaves. As I had now been there 15 minutes, I signed, paid and left. I tried contacting CVS corporate, was told a supervisor would get back to me within 24-48 hours. It has now been nearly three days and not word one from CVS corporate. So here's my advice, don't try to use a CVS coupon in this CVS. read more

I called today at this pharmacy and asked the person to give me the name of my prescription, I got a new med's today from my Neurologist and she was rude asking me my name, date of birth and all the staff., I said to her to spelled it for me and she was in the hurry at the end she hung up the phone. That new personal just care less about customers. I felt discriminated just because I could not get the name of the med's. If you speak another language don't go there, staff are awful... What is the second language in this Country???? officially is the most beautiful language besides English, so why they don't have Spanish speakers, I bet the services would improve. The pharmacy here is to avoid - they don't pay attention to customers. I had to wait while the pharmacist chatted with her friend who was loitering at the drop off. It was very annoying and disrespectful. On another occasion, I was told that they were out of stock of the prescription item. They then called another location and promised to "transfer it" there and kept my prescription. When I got to the other pharmacy, they told me that they had not yet gotten the request. I don't understand why this CVS just had to keep my prescription and I couldn't take care of it elsewhere myself. And, of course, there is usually trash on the floor, simply disgusting. read more

Has reatedly misfilled perscriptions, failed to fill ones that were called in advance, failed to contact Dr.s when asked to. The counter workers at the pharmacy dont seem to care about anything except passing the time. Moving to another CVS in the area that is less convenient just to ensure some modicum of accuracy. I see allot of positive reviews for this CVS because they sell hot pockets, wine, or whatever. But its "CVS PHARMACY" not CVS Bodega. First and foremost, it shoud take care of its pharmacy mission, and give out accurate and timely perscriptions. Will avoid in the future. read more

OK, CVS will sell you a money order, for cash. When the person you send it to goes to CVS to cash the money order, they have the nerve to say, "We don't cash money orders." They say you have to go to a check-cashing place or YOUR BANK to cash them! Uh... You're kidding me? You sell the thing and you won't cash it? I will NEVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING IN THAT PLACE! Worst pharmacy I've ever used. CVS is typically pretty customer service-oriented, but not these folks. They've refilled and then abruptly cancelled prescriptions without reason, have tried to charge me $400 for a prescription my insurance covers, and have asked me to call my insurance company multiple times to go in an override their mistakes. Do yourself a favor and avoid this pharmacy at all costs. read more

The pharmacy at this CVS has THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. They rarely have my prescriptions ready on time when I arrive. There are never enough people working behind the counter to accommodate customers....and the staff are completely disorganized. On several occasions they have given me the generic drug when I've specifically asked for the name brand over the phone. When I call to refill a prescription I have to spell my name a minimum of two times because they interrupt me to try to find me more quickly in the system, and I usually deal with no fewer than two people over the course of one call and I have to start the process all over again. No communication among staff whatsoever. The only reason I keep going back is because of the location. Each time I return I hope that they've gotten their act together and every time I am disappointed. Go to the Walgreens on Wilson. They're organized, friendly and there is never a wait. read more

If you're going solely for the photo center, call ahead to make sure it's not broken - which it is more times than not. Also, the 5x7 prints will have a white border around the pics. Save yourself the headache and go to the FedEx a block away because it does a WAY better job of photo printing for the same price. read more

needed to get a prescription refilled and didn't have the number on me. so i called to speak to someone and spent 35 minutes on hold with no one picking up the phone. i then called the 24 hour cvs on lee highway to get my prescription transferred over there. the entire call took less than 2 minutes. read more

Awesome pharmacy service at this CVS, I have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes for a prescription and they always are very helpful to make sure that you are getting service quickly, as well as helping you to find other items around the store. read more

I've always had good experiences here. They always have had my prescriptions in stock, even when other pharmacies didn't, so I've transferred prescriptions here a few times even from other places. Their staff has always been very helpful, willing to contact doctors and other pharmacies instead of making me do it. I came here once while on crutches to get some pain meds and without my asking they filled it within a couple minutes as I stood at the counter so I didn't have to come back later. They did this even though it was a little busy at the time, which I thought was nice. Also they are open 24 hours, which is nice. I now almost always come to this pharmacy even though it isn't the closest one to my house. I feel like a pharmacy is the type of place that people never think to review it unless they have had a terrible experience, so the rating here is probably skewed with a lot of 1 star ratings. I'll give a 5-star review and hopefully this helps a bit. read more

This one of the best CVS stores EVER!!!!!! I shop at this CVS literally every day for something - even if it's just a pack of gum! It's not too far from my job so I take my break there. They even have high end beauty products that are easier to purchase on location! All of the sales associates are top dollar; everyone welcomes me and each customer with a smiling, and "may I help you find something today?" Of course there are some customers who are just so self-absorbed they just ignore the kindness and customer service being offered. This store is ALWAYS ALWAYS - clean; and now that they have an upper level - it makes it easier to shop for what you need. They are always restocking and cleaning and rearranging the shelves. I can always find what I need, and if it's not readily available, I choose something else. I love when they choose various products for 75% off Woo-HOO! Tigist, Calixta, and Aftna are top knotch in their customer service. I just don't know the other names of the other associates, but I will learn them. Tigist, Calixta, and Aftna know how to build relationships with their customers - which keeps me COMING BACK!!! LOVE THIS CVS! Convenience, Value and Service - it literally is! Business is booming, but I think that is almost entirely due to the location. It amazes me how often damaged merchandise makes it onto the shelves at this store. Seriously, before you buy, make sure to carefully inspect boxes/packaging to make sure that they haven't been opened. Check every beer bottle to make sure that one isn't broken. The staff in the store are welcoming and helpful! The self checkout is always staffed with a person to help when the machines have errors or require employee assistance. The other day, the manager went out of his way to help me locate exactly the product I was looking for at the best price available. read more
