One of the worst MinuteClinic experiences we've ever had. We added our child to the standby list at 4:45 PM and received a confirmation text at 4:49 PM. After checking in, the nurse practitioner on duty, Christina (a floating NP), told us around 5:10 PM that she would be "right with us." However, after finishing with her previous patient, she called in another patient who appeared to be a no-show. We politely explained that we had been waiting based on her word and the confirmation we received, and that the other patient hadn't shown up. She seemed confused by the situation, made no effort to clarify or help, and ultimately refused to see our child--offering no real explanation aside from saying she was overbooked and too busy. Her dismissive attitude, lack of professionalism, and unwillingness to help were extremely frustrating. We waited 45 minutes, only to be denied care for our 4-year-old. If a provider is too overwhelmed to assess a young child--especially when there's a no-show appointment and we're on standby--that's a serious problem. This experience was unacceptable. We won't be returning to this location. read more

The pharmacy tech (white brunette kid with clear rimmed glasses) was irritated that he was proven wrong after my doctor called and he told me aggressively to stand off to side. Stood off the side for 30 mn till he forgot about me then he sees me and says GET BACK IN LINE JOHN. I look to the left and there's a line of 5 people. A line I already waited through. I said Seriously? I've been waiting for a prescription that was "ready" for over an hour And he lost his temper and flipped out at me infront of 4 other workers and 5 customers. Incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. Dude has no business in customer service. He belongs in a McDonald's drive thru. read more

I came in today for a friend's wrist to have it checked. Most likely muscle strain. No one was in the waiting room. The lady, Brandy Miller, was rude to begin with and when we asked could we wait in case someone did not show up for their appointment. I am a nurse, my friend wanted a second opinion. It would have literally taken less time to look at her wrist than it took to gripe at us. We waited over 15 minutes and someone came in late for their appointment. She refused to look at the wrist said we had to wait until a 3:50 appointment. I even told her it was most likely a strained muscle . We found an available appointment at Peachtree Immediate Care and will be going straight over there. read more

This is a small but mighty CVS. You can get a flu shot, print photos, pick up meds, or grab some snacks. I came here for a couple of personal care items, namely Men's Dove deodorant but also picked up some spicy snacks and mixed nuts. You can find some great deals on food here, like $1.99 cereal. There is a self service kiosk but don't expect trying to get in and out. Overall, the store is clean and well maintained and would recommend checking out if you are near Vinings. read more

arrived for TB test with confirmation codes for appt we made on line. The nurse Christina Hamilton claimed it was canceled. The clinic was still open for 30 minutes with no one there but she said we would have to reschedule despite showing her my confirmations that confirmed it was not canceled. When I called the 800# for the clinics they said she must have canceled it. She left at 7:26pm. She did this because she wanted to leave early and put us in a really bad spot with timing for getting this test for school. read more

Terrible store and manager. But she thinks she is security. Her name is Alivian. Alivian is the definition of terrible employees and customer service. I was at self checkout and when I read out loud she proceeded to aggressively approach us trying to tell us to move and go on back. She is walking attitude a problem. She finds offense in anything because she clocks in to argue. I called back to get her name and she proceeded to act like she is the owner. She gave me her name but immediately went on again with her attitude. It's sad that you have manager that thinks they that much and give you attitude because they feel untouchable. Tues 12/18/24 When I arrived, there was a long line to pickup ..I was simply there to drop off (no one was in the drop off line and there was a confused man between the drop off and consultation.. so I asked him if should go ahead. I did not want to break in front of him..that's when the head pharmacist told me to get in line like everyone else ..after realizing I was dropping she did come out and get the scripts..then a guy came up to the drop off line to transfer and she took 10 mins to help him while I waited..she probably entered mine but I didn't know..after another 10 mins she told me they were ready and to get in the back of the other line. Empathy..maybe overworked underpaid..my wife had just had cancer surgery so I guess my day was better. When I got home, my daughter said she quit going because of something worse! ..going to Kroger next time. read more

I had the worst pharmacy experience of my life here today. I was discharged from the ER with a blocked fallopian tube and had a prescription sent to this pharmacy for an opioid painkiller. When I arrived, one of the pharmacists told me the prescription was on hold until I consulted with the pharmacist to talk about opioids in the small consultation room-- gave me an ETA of about 30 minutes. I said sure, no problem. 30 minutes later I approached the counter where another pharmacist stepped in and said she had no record of the prescription on file. I said I had just spoken to her colleague. The attitude I got was unbelievable, and she said to call the ER. I called the ER and they confirmed they sent the correct prescription to this specific store. They would be unable to send a second one for safety reasons. The pharmacy then let me know they would be unable to fill prescriptions for 20 minutes with "server issues." I approached the counter with this information from the ER. Eric asked what I wanted him to do about it and informed me that it's "legally not allowed" to order over the phone. I said that's fine, he needs to speak with the ER and get this figured out. He called the ER -pharmacy- which sent him to voicemail. Looked me dead in the eye and just shrugged and asked what I wanted him to do. I got the actual ER on speakerphone, handed it to him over the counter, and he gave me an incredible amount of attitude as he confirmed everything over the phone and had them send in another prescription. This whole time I could see in my phone that the prescription was sent into the correct store in MyChart, but apparently that doesn't count as a reason for a pharmacist to call an ER. I had been in the store for 1 hour and 45 min by this point. I loudly let them know I was prescribed this medication for a reason, my fallopian tube was blocked, and I needed it expedited. Finally Eric decided to fill the prescription 10 minutes before they closed for lunch. My father in law who had been my ride (because I was not cleared to drive from the morphine) came in and asked why they were closing. Eric yelled "sir we are only closing the drop offs" I was astonished. The woman next to me was in tears because they had lost (yes LOST) her seizure medication that had been filled, the other 2 pharmacists on their hands and knees going through the bins, and Eric told her she could either wait til after lunch or go to a different pharmacy. I will be contacting CVS corporate to lodge a formal complaint. read more

Very rude pharmacy (this African American women was very rude and dismissive simply when I asked the status of my meds) who are NOT willing to help and give an attitude anytime a question is asked. I was dealing with what I thought was a 'stomach bug' hence the unstoppable diarrhea. I went to the CVS Minute Clinic at the Vinings location. The nurse practitioner encouraged me to keep taking Imodium while prescribing a broad spectrum antibiotic whose chief side effect is 'explosive diarrhea.' Believe me when I say the drug's manufacturer wasn't exaggerating about the side effects. This combination of bad medical advice and a dangerous-to-me prescription caused my condition to deteriorate so badly that I almost died. I was in the hospital for three months with surgeons considering options should they need to remove my digestive tract. Needless to say, I left with a massive pile of hospital bills and am currently in litigation with CVS. After I was released from the hospital, and considered "better" -- I suffered yet another side effect. The whole illness and recovery had such a traumatic impact on my body that my hair fell out! If you're sick and don't have the option of going to a primary care physician, don't go to this CVS. It could cost you your life. read more

This CVS Pharmacy is the worst. Overall, the management staff at the store could use a makeover. Miciah, Meryl and Cory are the only professional and friendly managers at this store. The others are "horrible". I've been a loyal customer of this location for 17 years. The pharmacy had knowledgeable and courteous pharmacists and staff until pharmacist Harrison and the new crew took over. I've asked Harrison questions about prescriptions. He hasn't had answers and will not take time to research so he can become knowledgeable about the drugs and be an expert in his field. He's also rude, slow and dismissive to customers when he doesn't feel like helping. Pharmacists serve as consultants. I don't see him interested in being a consultant. My guess is he's only expected to fill prescriptions and make phone calls. Most of my customer service experiences from businesses are good. When it's poor, I typically walk away unbothered. I chalk it up to poor management and company culture. I've chosen to write this review because I remember how this CVS Pharmacy use to be. Justin was the pharmacist. He was wonderful! He cared about customers. The customer service experience overall was impeccable. Since the lack of professionalism started, I've spoken with the Store Manager, Michael Scott, twice. My hope was he had the ability to turn it back around. He's expressed interest in influencing his staff to change for the better. Unfortunately, it has not. Some of his staff members act like they don't want to be there. This morning Harrison left me a voicemail message asking me to call him back. He said he had a question about a prescription. I called back. He answered and told me to hold. I was sitting on hold for 10 minutes. There were other things I needed to do, so I hung up and called back. He answered the phone. Didn't apologize for the long wait. He abruptly told me to hold again. I waited on hold for another 5 minutes and hung up. I was holding on the phone for a total of 15 minutes and didn't know why I was calling. He never said what he needed from me. I still don't know why he called me. Another pharmacy issue... I receive text messages with updates and alerts when prescriptions are ready. I went to pick up my prescription that was reported as ready. When I arrived, not only was it not ready, no one in the pharmacy knew what happened to it. Harrison was on the phone. He didn't try to help his associate find the prescription or provide her a solution. He just wanted to stay on the phone and make calls unrelated to this problem. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, I suggested her to check with other pharmacies in the area since they didn't have the prescription in stock. She found it at a Peachtree Rd location. I drove 20 minutes away and picked it up right before they closed. I believe this neighborhood CVS Pharmacy has hope. New management is desperately needed. The sooner, the better. One of the absolute worst experiences of my life at CVS Pharmacy. We are in the middle of a hurricane and Raisa refused to sell us water without a CVS Pharmacy card. She refused because I refuse to give her my email address when a phone number should have been sufficient. In these times of Dire Straits we should not be pimped by cashiers but cashiers should have a sensitivity in the times of nations needs. Where do you turn to when your doctor and local health department are both out of seasonal flu shots? For me, the answer was the MinuteClinic at this CVS location. I actually started calling around to different pharmacies and my first call struck gold. I headed up there and checked in just after 11:00 a.m. and I was seen and out the door around 11:35. Not bad considering I was the third person waiting to see one of the practitioners. There is a giant touch screen computer against the wall that you can use to check yourself in and provide all of your personal information. Later you can register to view your medical information online, which I thought was kinda cool since I use Google Health and I can link the data. I'm not sure I would come here as a substitute for my own doctor, but it's definitely an affordable option in case you don't have insurance and really want to get well soon. read more

The Minute Clinic here is AMAZING. If you don't know what a Minute Clinic is, let me take the time to describe (because I sure didn't know what it was either until I found it on google). Basically it's two offices right in the front of the store where you can sign up on a touchscreen, answer a few questions (why are you here, do you have insurance, etc) and then they will let you know where you are in the line. I went right after lunch time so there was a 6 person wait but right after me there was nobody so try not to go at peak hours (all practitioners have lunch breaks so make sure you look that up online). The reason I came here was to get a flu shot from a nurse (rather than a pharmacist, which is who does the flu shots at the plain CVS stores) and because I wanted the thimerosal free shot. They had both and the nurse was SO FRIENDLY and so wonderful. Seriously, my visit here was faster and better than most doctors visits. Apparently they treat a variety of things from the common cold, to getting tb tested, to getting the HPV vaccine, to getting medication for a yeast infection and etc. Nothing severe of course (no broken bones, open wounds) but you know how sometimes you need to see the doctor for an ongoing cough but can't get in for months because they're so busy? Yeah, that's the time to go to CVS Minute Clinic. Also go here for flu shots! Had a wonderful experience. read more

This CVS Pharmacy is horrible. I talked with the pharmacist about transferring my prescriptions from Walgreens. She got my information and said it would not be a problem I could get my medicine the next day. When I received a text that my medicine was ready I went into the pharmacy to be told she WOULD NOT give me my medication until she spoke with my Doctor. This has never happen to me before I informed her to call my doctors office the next morning because they close at 11am on Thursday until Monday morning. When I return on Thursday she still refuse to give me my medicine because she didn't call the doctors office before 11am. Now I am out of my medicine until Monday! She was rude, Unapologetic and didn't seem to care. No customer should be treated like this! read more

I was very wary of using this pharmacy after moving here due to these bad reviews. So far, I have not had any bad experiences. Staff is polite and competent. You get a lot of texts and calls reminding you to refill your rxs which is sometimes annoying- but better than the alternative of not getting any follow up. read more

I used to think that CVS was the best, but I have been mistaken. The last three times I've gotten pictures, I get the confirmation email that they are ready for pick up which is typically about two hours after I order them. I get there and I'm told they're not ready and I have to come back. I'm really tired of this. They don't rush to help anybody, the lady at the front is rather rude, and this is my every day CVS. I have a child under the age of one, so this is the closest store to my house. Always being nice and polite, I don't get the same in return. Not sure why the staff here is so consistently rude, but this has to be the worst CVS store I've ever been to. I just witnessed a patron get screamed at by whoever the manager on duty was (the only reason I know she was the manager was because she kept repeating while she was screaming that she was the manager). I would not recommend using their clinic services . I paid almost $200 out of pocket and the doctor did not conduct a full evaluation. This was my only option that I had until my insurance date was active. I had bronchitis which I was already aware of prior to visiting the clinic. When I expressed that to the doctor she said I may not be sick at all. I obviously know when I'm sick or not. I hadn't slept in 4 days. I couldn't breath at night at all and I was constantly coughing. She gave me a prescription that has not helped me one bit. In order to get a stronger prescription I have to revisit the same person and pay another $200.00. What a rip off. Do yourself a favor a visit an actual urgent care facility or doctor. You will waste your time, money, and you'll still be sick. read more

Denise at the Minute Clinic is so unprofessional and rude! After waiting for 15 minutes when there was 0 wait time and no one else waiting to be seen, I decided to ask how much longer it would be before she could see me. Her answer was 'no idea'. I waited for another 10 minutes before I could go in (she screamed my name from inside the office with her butt still sitting at the same chair she had been sitting the whole time I was waiting). Didn't bother to ask what I was there for, just starred at me. Then asked me for my insurance card and ID and made copies although I'm already in the system. When I questioned her she said that she couldn't find my information. This is not true because I was there 2 weeks ago and I was in the system. I find this very strange. Denise continued to be rude the whole time I was there. I see that there are many other complaints about this CVS location and don't understand why nothing is being done about it. I strongly advice people not to go to this CVS until management shows that they care about customers and stop this rude behavior from their employees. Why spend your money here? This is specifically for the Minute Clinic. I've never posted a review of something before but I'm so annoyed that I guess this is the day. I made an appointment for the minute clinic early yesterday when there were tons of available spots. I showed up today 20 minutes prior to my appointment, and it has now been over 30 minutes since my appointment time. As in, I've been sitting here for almost an hour. When I made an appointment, checked in early, all that. And now it's half an hour beyond my scheduled time and I have yet to be seen. read more

I went into this pharmacy yesterday (6/22/2020) between 4 and 5pm. I picked up some meds and also purchased a box of product with pseudoephedrine. After I paid, I realized the person ringing up my order had mistakenly charged me twice for the pseudoephedrine product. I asked for the extra charge to be refunded and another person ringing people up said it likely couldn't be refunded because pseudoephedrine is a controlled substance and people cannot return it. I became unreasonably irate at this news and began yelling. The manager came and I continued to yell at him. He was able to resolve it by refunding my money. Throughout all of this the entire staff were professional, continued to try and help me and remained calm themselves. I have no excuse for my disproportionate response and am committed to calling myself out for my own poor behavior. I do not know the names of any of the staff who helped me so cannot commend them by name. Hopefully whoever at CVS reads this can look up who was on and credit them with their remarkable patience and graciousness. I am sorry my behavior yesterday may have caused distress in the staff, none of whom did anything to warrant such a reaction. My experience in this store has always been positive, the staff are *always* helpful and cheerful. read more

I go to the minute clinic as I had a sore throat. I get there 90 minutes before closing and try to sign in. System won't let me sign in and tells me it is too close to closing time. I decide to wait patiently to see if it a system issue as it can't possibly take 90 minutes to see 2 patients. I wait for another 20 minutes until the next patient comes out. I explain the situation to the doctor and in not so many words she tells me it's not her problem and that she wants to leave early. I get it that you need time restrictions but when I come 90 minutes before closing with only 2 patients they should have time to see me. read more
