Unhelpful and a degrading type of rude. I attempted to have a prescription transferred out to another store for my mother who suffered a stroke and is now bedridden. After that store encountered an issue with the information transfer, I called CVS in an attempt to understand and recruit their help. The Pharmacist insisted it was the other store's problem. I asked about the process in general and she continued to repeat it's the other store's problem. I clarified I was trying to understand the process and they reiterated that she doesn't know ... bc it's the other store's problem. Frustrated with the conversation turning negative and culminating in her hanging up, I decided to share this experience so others can know this: not everyone in the medical or pharmaceutical field joined to be of service and help people. Please find a store that does. And to people joining the medical field, please make sure your heart is in the right place. read more

When you approach the counter, be prepared for a rather blunt response: "What do you need?" After that, they'll ask for your name and date of birth, then tell you it'll be ready in three hours. I was always taught to greet customers politely with, "Hello, how may I help you?" but unfortunately, the ghetto fabulous environment here often feels unprofessional, arrogant,, and downright disrespectful. It's best to avoid it whenever possible; getting semi-polite service from the staff seems almost impossible. I've finally decided to be smart about it and now have my medical needs shipped straight to my house via UPS. I wouldn't step foot back in there for anything -- after eight years of dealing with the same issues, it just keeps getting worse. I'm done. read more

I have no complaints with the pharmacy however there is a creepy older guy who stocks shelves who appears to harbor an animosity against women of color. I have had 2 negative encounters with this person. The first time I asked for a specific greeting card section that he had blocked with his cart and I had to move it to gain access. Today he actually left his job of stocking the shelves to menace and berate me stating he heard me tell another employee that it was his fault I didn't use my coupon when making my purchase. This man is a menace and I feel totally unsafe going back to this CVS. I am still amazed at how comfortable he felt leaving his assigned duties to confront a customer. I currently have filed a complaint with corporate and intend to follow-up. read more

I guess I shouldn't be overly shocked that a pharmacy has 2.5 stars. This is currently my neighborhood pharmacy so I go here very often. I've come here for Plan B's, for my birth control prescriptions, for general OTC meds, or miscellaneous supplies. The staff is usually very courteous and I always get things done. There are a whole lot of CVS locations, but there aren't that many that are open 24 hours. Unfortunately, I think that being a 24 hour location makes this place a lot busier than non-24 hour CVS stores, since customers can come to the pharmacy and get their meds at all times of the day. I know I did. Coming here to get my prescriptions filled turned into some inconsistent experiences. I've either walked the prescriptions to the drop off counter myself or had my physician send them for me. If I'm there in person, I will ask when I can come back to pick up my meds. I've been told anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours wait time. Sometimes the meds are ready at the time stated. However, most of the time, I've still had to wait, even after allowing for another hour. I wouldn't ever use the drive thru window because I've seen customers wait at the window during the same time that about 5 customers physically waiting in the pharmacy get assistance. Customers physically waiting in line can see and hear customers who are at the drive thru window. Also the employees working in the pharmacy seen nice enough, and are very knowledgeable, they don't seem to be in any hurry. Luckily, I no longer have to go to CVS pharmacy anymore, since I'm now going through the VA. read more

I booked a appointment for covid test Thursday morning at Jonesboro Location Tara Blvd. Only arrived at pharmacy to check in tech told me do you have confirmation number, I told her didn't gave me confirmation # advise me call CVS customer service number..which I did no help at all that could be clinch in system but this several times trying to make appointment for covid test. Customer support advise me minute clinic for walk in nearest one is in Stockbridge Ga.. I check in only to be told two hours wait time. Huh! Finally I made appointment with Walgreens online and check in took covid test, pharmacist told test turnaround fifteen to thirty minutes for results. Sure enough my results came back fifteen minutes in which was negative. CVS experience was terrible no effort fix system ppl who are trying make appointment for medical care or don't take walk-ins is not good either. Most ppl doesn't have capacity go thru online, waiting time too long for medical care or needs. read more

This CVS hadn't updated the price for an item so it was ringing up as higher at the self-checkout. Update your price tags! Luckily they honored the listed price but not without some additional back and forth. CVS also really pushes their ExtraCare cards, and good luck to you if you don't have one. This pharmacy is at a major intersection (Lavista and North Druid) and is attached to a thriving Starbucks so just take some extra care (pun intended) entering and exiting and parking. Worst attitude from employees. Ask for help several times and no one can help or even wants to call for a manager. Staff is unkind when you just state what happens, because they can't be bothered to page for a manager. When I finally got manager he was polite. No reason for anyone to be so unhelpful and unkind in a customer service job. Looked at other reviews and saw many had same experience. Also looked online to submit a formal complaint for the accusatory musings of the pharmacist, but couldn't find any way to contact corporate. This pharmacy, once highly regarded, has unfortunately been on a downward trend for the past 5-6 years, even before the pandemic started, and now it is in a deplorable state. The staff at the pharmacy is often rude and can be downright insulting. Waiting times are long, and excuses are made for the wait time. Sometimes, customers have to wait just to speak to a staff member, while the staff indulge in personal conversations. Additionally, there are frequent incidents where the medication is not even ordered. The store itself is old, shabby, and unclean. Last year, the fridge was out of order, and it remained so for a while without any attempts to repair it. One of the few pleasant sales associates revealed that the management was not interested in investing in the store because the store is likely to undergo renovation. The only positive aspect of this pharmacy is its 24/7 service. However, the management is aware that they are the only pharmacy in the area with such hours, and thus, they show little interest in improving the store. I'm sure CVS corporate is aware of the decline in the quality of the store but is not making any significant efforts to improve it as long as it continues to generate revenue. I suggest switching to one of the locally owned pharmacies in the area and avoiding the substandard quality of service and facilities offered by this corporate calamity. read more

This CVS is a joke. Who let's their customers sit at the drive- through and 20 minutes later comes to tell us that the drive-through is closed???? How about putting up a sign that says so?? You have all other kinds of notifications on the window. Also, don't waste your money with their delivery service. It's quite clear that the pharmacy staff here truly hate their jobs. Spoke to a man in an effort to transfer a script from another pharmacy. He asked me the same questions four times each. Name. Date of birth. Name of medication. Phone number. Each time, four or five times. Didn't listen. Had no compassion. Rudely told me I "clearly don't understand what (he's) asking." I turned it around and mirrored back to him his question. He confirmed that I understood. He then asked me the same questions another two times. When the call was over, he didn't bother saying anything. Just hung up on me. Didn't say, "you'll be notified when your prescription is ready." Nothing. I swore I'd never go to CVS again after my Caremark insurance forced me to only get my meds from CVS. I'm quickly remembering why. Just an awful pharmacy. They just don't want to be there. read more

OMG...this has to be the worst location of what is likely the worst pharmacy chain. Incredibly slow service by the pharmacy staff...and they could care less. You can't simply walk in and pick up an already prepped prescription in 5 minutes. Even two people in line for pickups can turn the experience into a 20 minute wait, as I experienced today. The staff appears to be clueless about how to handle whiny customers and allows all to suffer. Very passive aggressive. They need senior management intervention and maybe more staff. read more

I wait for an hour to give them extra time while I study. I go back to get my prescription. They tell me that they are out of stock and I will need to wait until tomorrow. No explanation. I've been using this CVS for years because of location convenience and drive through but other than that, no reason. For the most part, the pharmacy staff is rude and uncaring. The last straw was standing in line to drop off an Rx for spouse freshout of surgery. I stood there for 20 minutes, but not acknowledged, then got a "it will be a few minutes". There were 2 pharmacists there. One was waiting on the one other customer picking up. The other was maniacally throwing things around looking for something I guess. When I left to go to Walgreens for my needs, there was a line of maybe 6-8 cars for the drive through. I'm done with this CVS. read more

can I give it zero stars? The worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. I've actually considered giving it a review since my insurance company forced us to switch to CVS and we've had nothing but horrible experiences. I didn't want to bash the whole store over the pharmacy's issues so I didn't post. We went back to our walgreens and pay at least double for our prescriptions but honestly its worth it. Today I found out that the whole store is horrible. I've only written reviews 2-3 times in my life but seriously people, this place will drive u to drink. Not only does the staff not care to do anything (like check u out for example) but they have attitude when they do. I stood for 20 minutes with an infant and a 3 year old waiting to pick up pictures that were all ready. All they had to do was hand it to me. Once they finally did the lady at the cash register said I needed to check out at the self checkout. Fine I thought. A little rude with the attitude and the fact that she was at the actual cash register but I was fine with it. I hobbled over with the car seat in one hand and a restless 3 year old in the other. The check out machine said somwthibg was wrong and I needed to wait for help. Stood there for another 5 minutes as my infant is full on having a meltdown. Still no one around to help. Finally I yelled back "excuse me" and the same woman storms over as she angrily mumbles under her breath "I already called for someone" And scans her phone which fixes the problem. Seems like it would have been easy enough to just do seeing me stand there for 5 minutes with little kids. Anyway, whoever manages this place needs to look for a less responsible job. Going inside of this CVS is alot like going to the urologist. You know that once you walk through that door, something uncomfortable is going to happen to you. You are not, in any real sense of the word, going to "enjoy" this experience. It's necessary though, and sometimes I have to do it. My word of advice, get all prescriptions filled through the drive-thru. The staff in the pharmacy are great and are usually very helpful. However, when you have to go inside for some cough syrup or a birthday card, or a pack of index cards, or a thermometer, expect something strange to happen to you or prepare to wait in a long line. On a rare occasion, something strange will happen while you are standing in a long line. I've seen it all. The "one cashier for 15 people" scenario. The "I'm going to get not 3, but 30 12 packs of soda on sale" scenario. I could also never forget the "that's my second cousins name on the credit card, she lets me use it" scenario that ended with a police escort for a very confused lady.. I just want to go inside and have a normal cash for product transaction. Instead I end up fumbling around for my CVS card and leaving with a three foot long receipt for crap I would never buy after waiting 20 minutes to buy three things. Also, they don't have loaves of bread. Who doesn't carry bread? It's BREAD, milk, and eggs. That's the order. Don't try to change the damn world CVS. I live near the Toco Hills area, so I've been in this CVS a few times. Yesterday, I stopped in to print some pictures for some scrapbooking. I went to the kiosk, and after about 10 pictures, the machine ran out of ribbon...on both printers. The machine told me to get an employee to change the ribbon. Okay, simple enough, since the machine is up front at the registers, right? Wrong. I said "Excuse me?" to the manager, but she clearly had more important things to do...she walked right past me, when I was asking for help & clearly in need of assistance. The only other employee nearby was at the far end of the counter from where I was, and she was busy with a line of customers, so I waited, and finally, another girl came out of the back room in photo. After helping some other customer, she finally started looking for another ribbon. Now, it's not their fault that no one had previously told them that the first printer had run out of ribbon, so that both of them died while I was printing. It IS their fault that they had no ribbon with which to replace it. "Um, why don't you try another machine?" she asked, as if she couldn't believe I hadn't thought of this myself. "Because this machine prints them in seconds, but those print them in an hour. I want to go home and scrapbook." "Oh, well, those will really just take a couple more minutes, that's all. We don't have any more ribbon for this printer." So I moved to another kiosk and had to start the process all over again. If you've never used a self-serve Kodak kiosk, you have to go through and select the pictures you want one-by-one. I had been cropping some of them, so I had to re-do all of that as well. Needless to say, I was not happy. Meanwhile, the girl mumbles something about "Maybe if I try this..." and starts replacing the ribbon. What? The whole reason I had moved was because she had nothing to replace the ribbon with, and now she magically does? She's clearly never used one of these kiosks herself to know what a pain it is to start from scratch. So anyway, I'm sitting there, waiting. It finally dawns on her to go back and start my pictures printing behind the counter, then she returns to fiddling with the ribbon. Finally, my pictures are done, and she starts ringing me up. I had also made some cosmetics purchases, and when some buy-one-get-one-free stuff did not ring up as such, I told her about it. "Look, I hate to be a hassle, but that's twice what it should cost." "Yeah...well...," she responded hazily, "...I don't think that's your product, I think it's just these." And she pulls out the sales paper and tries to tell me that I'm an idiot. I *hate* when they pull out the sales paper. Clearly, I'm not walking around your store with that paper; I'm seeing the price tags that are telling me that my selection was in fact on sale. I finally convince her to go over to cosmetics and see for herself, and sure enough, the customer was right (imagine that). So then she has to call the manager (the same manager that had completely ignored me earlier) to come void one of them. Then she rings up the photos, and she doesn't give me any kind of discount for my troubles. Seriously? Those photos did not print "in seconds," so there is no conceivable reason that she should have charged me the "in seconds" price over the "in an hour" price. Now, I'm giving them 2 stars rather than just 1 because I've never had a problem getting my prescriptions here. (Even though, when an elderly woman was trying to get me to sign up for a CVS card...when I asked her if I could just sign up online when I got home, rather than making the people behind me wait, she just stared at me blankly.) But you better believe that I won't be printing any more photos here. read more

This CVS is absolutely horrible and has sullied my opinion of the entire brand. Here's what I experienced: PHARMACY I take some pretty generic and common medications. It's a regular occurrence for those medications to be out of stock. This is infuriating and is a pain in the butt, because you'll either have to wait for CVS to order them, go to another location, or transfer your mediation somewhere else. The pharmacy staff says this happens because they are busy. I call hog-wash. They should adjust to demand and order accordingly. The drive-up speaker doesn't work. You can't hear a word they say to you and either they can't hear you either or they choose to ignore you. I think it's a mix of both. It has taken me 20-30min to pick up a prescription. I'll honk and no one will come to the window to even acknowledge that you're out there. They've flat out lost prescriptions. My doctors give me updated prescriptions that I put on file until the refills on the active prescription run out. When I ran out of refills, this CVS location had to request new prescriptions from my physician. Some physicians charge for this. A CVS pharmacy employee finally admitted that they didn't have scanned copies of the scripts and that it wasn't their policy to keep the originals. Lastly, they wait is atrocious. A 1 hour wait is common. It's also common for the staff to tell you they don't have all of your prescriptions ready (even though the CVS app says they're ready). I had enough and transferred all of my prescriptions to Walgreens. I haven't had a problem since. STORE The customer service is almost as non-existent as the employees. There have been two times where I put the money on the counter (plus estimated tax) and left, because no one appeared after yelling "Hello, helloooo, helloooooooo." In addition, this CVS location does not have cosmetics for my skin tone (I'm an African American Woman). They stopped carrying a cosmetic line called "Milani" that is formulated for darker skin. This was sad, but was compounded by the fact that this CVS location does not order the darker shades produced by popular cosmetic lines such as CoverGirl and Revlon. I brought this up to the store manager and was referred to a store location on the south side of town with a large population of African Americans. This is supposed to be my neighborhood drug store. Not carrying makeup in my skin tones tells me that CVS does not value my business or recognize that this is my neighborhood too. (FYI - This is not a supply/demand issue. There's a Target located 1mile away from this CVS that carried 2 cosmetic lines for darker skin tones along with stocking the darker shades in mainstream cosmetic brands.) The pharmacy is 24 hours so this place will always be in business regardless of how bad the customer service in the pharmacy department is. The people in the pharmacy seem incapable of balancing both walk-in customers, as well as drive-thru, and drive-thru will always take precedent no matter how long the line. There has not been a time I have been here and someone has not been angry about the wait. You will literally stand there and be ignored by all for several minutes. I wonder if they can walk and chew gum... They seem to think those white coats give them some kind of license to be completely aloof and unfriendly. On the flip side, the front cashiers seem to have very good training in customer service and are always friendly. Think I will buy my goods here and fill prescriptions elsewhere. read more

The food/snack section has dwindled to a few dusty boxes of expired or almost expired items. The pharmacy needs new staff asap! I want to know who owns this place or is it corporate? Worst service ever. So unprofessional, incompetent, rude and ignorant! They don't have on masks nor use gloves! They are clearly not trained on the proper way to handle customers as the lead pharmacist is just as incompetent. I came through the drive-thru double masked hands sanitize and I was treated like I had the plague because I needed meds for COVID. I just left the hospital and had noone else who could put in my prescription. It was Christmas Eve and I being sick needed medication asap. I drove from Sandy Springs and never got my much needed medication. I was referred to as "girl"! Eyes were rolled as she went and talked about me to her other co-workers. Mind you she's at work with no mask no gloves dealing with people's prescriptions! But I'm the problem. I felt so disrespected with no empathy for my condition. The head pharmacist followed suit putting on 3 pairs of pink gloves! I was in my car, I was masked and apparently these people have no clue but to insult me. I told him how I felt and he berated me raising his voice telling me to be quite. He didn't care that they had insulted me. Eventually he refused to fill my prescription and just walked away. It was appalling how unprofessional these people behaved. Noone cared that I actually need these meds asap! Why work in a field where you have to deal with sick people. Prescriptions are handed to you on the daily. You have no idea who's washed their hands. Obviously they don't follow protocol themselves. So on Christmas day I will have to hope a pharmacy is open so I can get my meds or suffer until Sunday or Monday. None of these people should be working in the medical field!
