On any regular day this Rx already sucks. Rarely do they have medicines in stock or in the case of today when they said they did - it wasn't ready at 5pm after being promised for 11am. But what did me over was being told I couldn't bypass putting in my CVS number (they wanted me to manually enter on the public keypad) to make a purchase in the height of CDC warnings on Coronavirus. This pharmacy is a joke. Most (not all) of the staff members are incredibly rude. They have not put my prescription on automatic refill despite several repeated requests to do so. And they also have failed to inform me that my prescription was expired, forcing me to scramble to get the approval from my doctor because somehow their contact info for her got lost after more than a year of no issues/changes. They also ran out of my medicine once and, again, failed to inform me, so I had to run around to different pharmacies in order to find someone who could fill it. They almost always have a long line for pick up, but of course only one person at the register. This pharmacy is....frustrating. And disorganized. And they seem to have no clue what is happening with their own orders. I've been in twice now, and each time I have spent 30 minutes and was sent to 3 different windows, no lie. I tried to transfer a prescription over to them, and first they didn't capture the dosage information. Then they didn't catch the number of refills. Then they asked if I could come in after the weekend to check on it. THEN I tried to call in to check on it, only to be put on hold for 10 minutes before being disconnected. Twice. Then when I said screw it and came in, a lengthy back and forth revealed that not only did they not have the medicine yet, they DIDNT KNOW WHETHER IT HAD BEEN ORDERED. 4 days ago. They literally could not tell me if it had even been ordered. But "if I could just call them this afternoon..." What the eff is wrong with these people? This is all over a transferred refill, and it's not like it's a narcotic or something. It's like they are holding my medicine hostage. As soon as I can get my damn meds, I am out. read more

With all the other CVS locations in the area please try another one if you want photos done. We were told they were ready (were sent an email) but when I went to pick them up there was nothing. The apologized and told me to come back in a few hours. I did--still nothing. Then they said the machine was broken and would be fixed later that day and to please come back. I did and nothing again. Pharmacy in this store is a hot mess! It's not clear to me that they have a true system and it looks like they don't have enough space to work in. It's a rare event that my prescription is ready even when I called it in in advance. Today when I went to pickup (a full week after I called in the refill), they told me they were out of the med. I was sent to the drop-off line (wait, wait, wait) and they was told they did have the med, but had not filled the prescription. It will be ready in 10 minutes. Oh no, it wasn't ready in 30 minutes. There were quite a few other people waiting and all were quite frustrated. I learned that it was a substitute pharmacist today, but again, this experience is not unusual. CVS is a big operation and should devote some time, money and energy to making sure their pharmacies are top notch if they are going to buy up all the little pharmacies that do offer good service :( read more

best gum selection ever! seriously will always do my gum stocking here. aisles are pretty well stocked, feels like a compact store but isn't bad. the one person at the checkout counter was very friendly. my only complaint: it is the only cvs next to a huge residential area, you'd think they'd be 24 hours. nope. read more

Then, on a recent visit back I was delighted to have the same pharmacist who treated me so kindly again. I'll look out for her name next time. My review is primarily for the Pharmacy. This pharmacy is legitimately the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They have downright unethical business practices. I have had multiple instances of staff members being rude, outright lying, or dropping the ball on medically necessary prescriptions after several calls on numerous occasions. Some of the highlights include losing prescriptions or claiming my doctors never called them in. However, I found out they had submitted claims to my insurance for the same prescriptions they said they had never received or filled. I suspect there is fraud going on here as the only time things are resolved is when I've spoken directly to the head pharmacist and lost my patience. I've also been told they don't carry any generic EPI pens and that it would take a week to backorder, only to find out the order was never submitted, there was no record of it, and that they suddenly "found a generic one left in the store" although I was never told that until I showed up to pick up a different prescription. I suspect they rather that I had paid $700 out of pocket then $60 for a generic EPI pen. Additionally, in one instance I was charged full price for multiple prescriptions, never was told this, and then looked down at the RX back mid-transaction to realize they never ran it against my insurance which has been on file there for two years. When I asked them to fix it I received an attitude. One of the male staff members also kept talking down to me and blaming me for his own mistakes and playing dumb when I would ask questions to clarify. I also had instances where people lied about their names and when I called back to speak with them about an RX status, they said nobody by that name worked there. Another time I needed a vacation supply for 90 days and they would not help me with it at all. Instead they wanted to charge me $500+ for the 90 day supply. I later found out by speaking with my insurance that the pharmacy can easily request a vacation refill without an issue. I have other stories but I think this more than enough for the review. Either this pharmacy is truly that incompetent or is committing fraud. Stay away if you value your sanity and time. read more

I take back my last review. Unpleasant staff... I was following up on a prescription I was told was going to be ready in an hour. Never heard back. 7 hours later, I call to see what the update was. No one answered the phone for 10+ minutes. The man who picked up was beyond annoyed at me for even calling. Turns out it was ready and I was never notified. Toward the end of our conversation, he said "mhmmmm" and just hung up on me. I wasn't done.....thanks for that.... I dread coming here. read more

Pharmacy is the worst in service and staffing. I have been on hold with them for 41 minutes (not joking) after being hung up on before that while holding for an initial 12 minutes. Definitely switching pharmacies and CVS store altogether. Get way better service at Harris Teeter. Sadly, the rest of the staff is super nice and helpful and always greets me with a "hello," "welcome to CVS" and "how may i help you?" Bummer. read more

Pharmacy is run by well meaning, but inept clowns. Don't bother calling them. They let it ring for literally over an hour. They notify that your prescription is ready, only to tell you in person (after waiting in the usual endless line for 20 minutes), that your prescription is on back order.Noble, one of the pharmacists there, is unhelpful and unable to read your actual status in terms of eligibility for benefits. 3 of the customers in front of me left without their promised prescriptions because they were out of stock. When I stepped Up, i had good news/bad news. Good news: my prescription was there. Bad news, they misread my status of coverage and sent me packing. I had to get the store manager to order them to take the CVS customer service rep off hold (for 35 minutes), To verify I was eligible to get the prescription. They don't care. They're zombies that are overworked and under qualified. A few of the clerks are great, but limited. I need to switch but it's another major hassle to get setup elsewhere. Don't go there. They are inept, morons just doing the bare minimum. I get it that they are busy, but their approach to get their mission accomplished falls far short. read more

Another time I sent one picture to be printed at the store for 1-hour pickup; that day the printer was "broken." I have been a loyal customer to this trashy CVS for years only because its convenient but no more. By far the worst place to get your prescription filled. The pharmacy department is filled with rude people. Especially someone by the name of Malik and a femal that goes by Adylene. Very rude and either are not qualified or just are not really qualified. The manager who says her name is Glenda with a thick accent you can't understand and has some language barriers is just as rude. This was my first time using the CVS Pharmacy store ID #1475 on Old Georgetown Rd., I am very disappointed. At 3:10pm I called to see if this pharmacy had a particular medication they said yes so I had the prescription faxed to them. Store 1 said they faxed prescription and Store 2 said they did not receive fax. From 3:05pm to 5:30pm, I was back in forth with both CVS Pharmacys, until they both closed at 6:00pm, and I still don't have medication. I was truly given the run around. The sad thing is my mother really need her medicine. So Scary no one seems to care anymore. read more

This store has the shelf price marked significantly different than the price that rings up. Our elderly mother was cheated by over $20 on a $70 order. When we tried to get the store to return and resell the items at the correct/shelf-priced amount, they refused to do so without her physically bringing the items back to the store. 90 year olds on a fixed income should not have to deal with this. read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever used. First guy to greet me at the pick-up window looked fed up already, never made eye contact and seemed very distracted. He mumbled something barely audible that I should go to a different window. I started walking down toward the window he seemed to be heading in the direction of. "NO! The drop off window." OK. Second person: "How are you doing, sir?" "I'm good thank you." "How are you doing, sir?" "You just asked me that." If you ask me a question and I answer it and you ask me the same question again--the only conclusion is you aren't listening. "Why are you here?" (Seriously. Not: "what can I help you with?") "I was told to come down here." "Can I have your last name?" I start giving the first few letters and wait for some recognition I'm being heard/understood. "Your last name?" It went on like that. Long story short, they said they didn't have my order ready. Worse than that they said they had never got it. This is really strange because I had called just that morning and they said it would be ready later that day. On top of that, they started saying I wasn't in the system and my doctor hadn't transferred the prescription. This was a lie because when I was on the phone earlier that day and I asked to make sure they had the right prescription, they volunteered the name of the drug, which they only could have known if they had rec'd the order from my doctor. The second guy then went on to accuse me of not having called the right pharmacy. I showed him my cell phone and he said the number was right. At this point he said I should contact my doctor. So I said why should I have to call my doctor to fix a mistake you made. Why should I have to do your job for you? They then went on to ask who I spoke with in the morning. As though I would ask/remember the person's name. You could tell the whole group of them is working under poor management if their main concern was figuring out who to blame. I then spoke with a third person there (one of the pharmacists maybe), who I had to wait for to get off the phone. She more or less leveled an accusation against me that I was mistaken or lying, saying she would have remembered that call and remembers names. She offered to contact my doctor only after I had started getting angry with the service. Of course now I am down to one pill and I have to contact my doctor yet again, but this time need it all done much more urgently. I'm just lucky my doctor is quick with these sorts of things. This is my first and last interaction with this pharmacy. From the very start the customer service was atrocious/condescending. The only reason I tried the place was because of the number of people they have on staff, assuming that would mean shorter wait times or a well run operation. Neither was true. read more

DO NOT SEND PHOTOS THERE TO BE PRINTED!!!! COMPLETE IDIOTS! I sent photos to be printed there and picked up within 1 hour. Received the confirmation that they will be ready at 12:15. Got there at 12:30 to find out that their photo lab technician is out for the whole week, and no photos that were sent online to be printed can't be printed, because that is sooo complicated that no one else can receive the email and press print!!!!! to make the matters worse, it was a birthday gift for my 8 year old daughter;s best friend, the picture of the two of them ....We had this great frame and all we needed was to pick up a photo on the way to the birthday. Needless to say we came to the bday without the main gift , with my daughter in tears with an empty frame.....How unprofessional to send out the email that photos will be ready, and then not have anyone there who can do it. The worst service I ever had from a pharmacy after being a 13 years customer. The pharmacy staff are unlivable rude, it seems like it is a requirement to be rude in this pharmacy, this includes the pharmacist that I interact with. There is always a big line, with 6 people running around and few are doing nothing. They do not make any extra effort to resolve the issue, which is mainly related to them for being unprofessional and incompetent with the computer and the routine process. I have been using Lipitor for many years and being refill from this pharmacy. Suddenly in last two years, they are asking me to pay hundreds of dollar instead of few dollars. Each time I have to ask them to reenter my information to fix the issue that they have created, although they constantly call you that your refill is ready to pick up. The last time in January 26 they charged me extra for Lipitor after keeping me for 3 hours there to fix the issue. The refill of the same pill in March 3rd, took another 1.5 hours with no success telling me that it is not their false and there is nothing they can do. When I tried to connect them to insurance to fix the problem that they created they hang up on the insurance person and they told me no one can help and I am wrong and this is their job. I left after 2 hours arguing with the manager that he assumed he is giving me a favor. Eventually, I called Giant store pharmacy in the same neighborhood and asked them to transfer my prescription. With few basic info name, birthday and insurance, the Giant pharmacy called me back in 10 minute and told me I can pick up my Lipitor, with no issue with insurance and no hassle. Later I returned to CVS ask for the manager to sow them the issue was the pharmacy staff lack of knowledge in the process. He was not there and when I mentioned to the staff that the error was him, he said he does not care. When I told him I will write a review, he offered his name to use. This is customer support including the additional cost, about 4 hours of your time, a rude and unprofessional behavior from the CVS PHARMCY after 13 years of business. By the way, when you enter this store you get a nice welcome at the door with big smile. It would seem a best customer support before you get to the rude, incompetent, lazy, and unprofessional staff in the pharmacy whom the behave that way in front of so called store manager. read more
