They will call you back when it's convenient for THEM, and then leave you a message with NO information about your quest for a prescription refill. The "smart AI" phone answering system is TORTURE! It will repeatedly tell you your script is "refillable" without ever offering the option to get it refilled! They have repeatedly refilled prescriptions I did NOT ask for - to the point where my doctor's office was calling me to ask why I'm taking so many pills! And the attitude is just "this is how we do it, too bad for you." I'm looking for a new pharmacy now. Enough of this.

I showed up and the same woman behind the pharmacy counter ringing up customers is the one giving the shots. The administration area is a tiny screened off area next to the pharmacy register and guys were banging into in while delivering things on wheelie carts. I don't think this person was well trained. She didn't explain what she was doing and didn't pinch my arm to avoid pain. She barely said two words to me. It was my first time receiving this vaccine and nothing was said about side effects -- just "you're all set" when we were done. Imagine someone who is nervous about needles, or a kid? But of course, this is not her fault -- it's CVS's fault who should have a dedicated person to give vaccines who is well trained at times when they are being offered. How can she be expected to ring up customers and give out vaccines at the same time? I'm sure she rushed through it as a result. I wish doctor's offices administered this vaccine rather than having to deal with this shoddy experience.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They deliver Rx's to your home at no charge (within a certain distance). Many of their off the shelf products (band-aids, toiletries) are available at a lower cost than the big conglomerates.

I had seen her earlier when she was greeting customers entering the store. She was super quick with fixing the problem and was friendly with a good sense of humor. I was grateful she helped me out since I was short on time. 5-stars for great customer service. I've been to this store a number of times, and the aisles are always stocked and neat. I haven't tried the pharmacy section because I normally go to a different CVS location, but I may switch over since this one has a drive-thru (though some of the Yelp reviews about the pharmacy are a little eye brow raising). For a long time, I hesitated going to this CVS because it was built on the former site of Pal's Cabin, a West Orange landmark that was torn down for the chain store, but I guess enough time has passed. Change happens.
