Membership counter is fast, courteous, and efficient. Checkout staff and staff on the floor are also efficient, kind, and helpful. Many items are available here for less than you'd find them elsewhere, which is excellent. Shopping here certainly helps you save. Prices are lower than most. The store is clean and well-organized. Excellent quality beef, poultry, seafood, and fruits/vegetables. Parking lot and crowds can be a challenge, but for us the savings are worth it. Go early to avoid the crowds. read more

This Costco is overall good. The prices are pretty decent for the shelf items. It's not crazy expensive or anything, it's fair. I'd say the employees are nice too. They also had Pepero strawberry sticks which I'm pretty sure is a new item in the Costco. I tried a box and they tasted awesome. The pricing on them was good. I got a lot of items. The Pepero is my favorite. I also like the chocolate chip cookies so I bought them. Suggestion: Maybe add a changing/fitting room so customers can try on the clothes. It will be less of a hustle for the store and customers so you don't need to go back to the store to return something if it doesn't feel right. The only problem is that it can get crowded at sometimes and when it is it's hard to find parking. There can also be shopping carts left by people where cars are supposed to be parked so it makes it that you have to get out of the car and move the carts out of the way so that you can park. read more

First time in a COSTCO in forever and stopped in to sign up for a membership. Johnny at the front entrance was awesome as he took the time to explain the memberships to me and walked me over to the membership counter. The employee at the membership sign up counter was also super detailed and patient with me given a few questions I had. Shopping the warehouse was fun as it was neat and clean and prices were clearly signed. Only suggestion I have is to perhaps label the aisles as I had no idea where anything was ... but perhaps that's intentional to make you shop all aisles lol. The parking lot is a zoo so be prepared to be alert and careful while looking for a parking space. read more

The good is that they installed my four tires well enough even though the wait was backed up quite a bit. Luckily, there's a shopping mall within walking distance to occupy your time. The bad is that my rotors were shot on two wheels and it would have been very helpful if the technician who serviced my car would have informed me. A day or two later, I had to have my car towed to my mechanic. The next time that I need tires I will order them online and have them delivered to my mechanic. read more

Pretty standard style Costco, well stocked, best to come here in the middle of the week and early in the day if possible. Just getting into the parking lot is a nightmare on the weekends, avoid it if you don't have a half a day dedicated to restocking your pantry. They really need to redirect the traffic between the shop and the gas station, it seems like no planning went into this design. Luckily the Liquor shop has free samples to make it all better on your way in or out. read more

Gasoline price is one of the best in the area. Hotdogs and rotisserie chicken is exceptional value. However for the last couple years I noticed that the meat price is more expensive than ShopRite and other chain Supermarket. Even the higher end stuff like grass fed meats and organic salads is cheaper at ShopRite. It's troubling since I pay yearly annual membership to shop here while ShopRite has $0 fees and I don't have to buy in bulk. It's going to be hard to justify shopping here for only gas, chicken, and hotdogs. Hopefully they see this review and adjust their pricing to be more competitive since I am a fan of Costco and would like to shop here in the future. read more

Got 4 new tires for my daughter's car. A month later she damaged 1 of her tire. I took it back to change the tire. At first I was charged a $80 service fee for the new tire. It is a costco, just like every other one! This is our local one! To start off, parking is CRAZY!!!!!!! It is in a weird location, so even getting into the lot or getting out is confusing!!!! The lot is massive and your better off going closer to the back to find a spot, or follow someone.. They have a gas station with lines 6 cars deep lol! The price is worth it, .30+ less than everywhere else. They also have a liquor store, so stock up! The place is as clean as you can expect them to be, but no matter when you go, it is always a zoo... Ive tried going 10 am on Wednesdays, and its no better than weekends lol. They have everything you could need food wise. I have never really had any issues with finding what I was looking for. They finally brought back the samples! Its nice to snack as we walk around the store. The lines at the checkout are confusing, luckily my wife knows the ins and outs of their systems! All in all, if you need 20lbs of hamburgers lol, this is your store! read more

Stood in four lines to get a refund on a simple item. After 45 minutes on a Sunday afternoon I finally got to the manager of the manager of the manager. And instead of processing the refund, he charged me for the item a second time. So now I've been charged twice for an item I don't have. Will never step foot into this awful place again. read more

I had such a great experience here today! It was my first time at any Costco and we took a walk through just to check prices. The more I saw the more I liked. Lots of brands and much much more quantity than BJs or Sams club. Plus I LOVE Kirkland brand products. Honestly I wanted to sign up and just get olive oil because I've heard their brand is fantastic. Needless to say I walked out with 100 bucks worth of stuff and a membership. As far as the membership process goes, Rose hooked us up. If she's at the membership desk and available I suggest going to her, she was such a sweetheart. I told her I was just gonna go buy olive oil and she laughs and goes "yeah right". Boy was she right. The store was neat and clean and even though it was my first time the layout was super easy to walk through. Such good bakery products too, everything was so fresh! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the parking lot. I honestly almost didn't even go in because the shopping carts ALL around the parking spaces made me not want to park anywhere. They definitely need to hire more people to tend to the carts, that's my only complaint. Also stopped at the little food court. Got two churros, a mocha freeze drink and a turkey provolone sandwich. The Costco in Clifton, New Jersey, stands out primarily for one feature: The logistical nightmare that is the entrance to its parking lot, which is located a stone's throw from Route 3. In and of itself, the proximity to a highway isn't exceptional, but Costco's gas station is also located between the heavily trafficked turn-off and the warehouse building, resulting in a perfect storm of long lines in both directions, frustrated drivers and plenty of misplaced speeding. Sure, Costco's gas prices are almost always lower than its competitors', but on a bad day, you might burn off your savings by idling in a queue that can grow to six cars deep or more. Avoid it on weekends if at all possible. The parking lot can be a dodgy proposition, as I acutely noticed visiting recently with an elementary-school-aged kid who was happy to be getting out of the house in one of those rare pandemic moments. We parked in the farthest lot, which had plenty of space, instead of opting to chase the fleeting spots closest to the front door. (Seriously, what is this obsession with parking as close as possible to a store instead of just using your biologically provided legs?) Ever the optimist, I had thought cars would slow down well in advance of approaching a group of pedestrians that included a child. Not so. The store itself is a typical Costco, laid out it more or less a typical fashion, which forces shoppers unfamiliar with the layout to explore the aisles in order to find their items. The other, unremarkable feature of this Costco location is the implicit (false) promise that liquor is sold here by the "liquor" sign emblazoned across the front of the main building. The liquor offered for sale here is by a third party, named Western Liquors, and crammed into what appears to have been a utility room. None of the prices for beer, wine or liquor were especially attractive, and there's no Costco house-brand Kirkland options anywhere to be found. (Yes, it's due to New Jersey's odd alcohol sales regulations that allow just one license per retail chain.) But on a recent holiday weekend, I trudged forward through the abominable entrance traffic and dodged parking-lot traffic with a kid precisely because of the promise of those Costco booze values ... that were nowhere to be found. Although I did manage to get some stuff we needed, it was a substandard experience throughout, and enough of a reason to never make an explicit trip here again. Horrible experience at Costco in Clifton NJ on February 17, 2024. Specifically went into sign up for membership services with family and the people working behind the counter at Membership Services treated us HORRIBLY. Stephanie who was helping us treated us disturbingly bad and kept making comments about us not having "common sense" due to us coming to the counter with a bill and ID to sign up instead of going online. Her next comments involved "I will not be doing membership sign up for anyone for rest of day, I will not be doing this again this is ridiculous." We had the documents needed and ready and had no issues so I don't know what was so ridiculous about it. Never again. Then the only time they care to acknowledge us is to sell us the highest membership of 120$ a year then other workers at the counter when we said "no thanks" as we were already over the horrible treatment said "nahhhh that's crazy." I would have gladly signed up for the highest membership but with the way they treated us from beginning to end we should've have walked out with no membership at all. Definitely will never be coming to this location again customer service in this place is the worst I have ever experienced. read more

Bought storage boxes but forgot the lids. Went back, was told to put the cart on the side so I can grab the lids. Going in, "RAE" stopped me and said, "where do you think you're going, you cannot leave your cart there!" I was explaining to her, and when she realized her mistake, she ordered me to "GO!", proceeded by, "why are you still talking, I already told you to go"! I found out RAE is a "supervisor". Are you serious COSTCO? Are these your leaders now? I understand that the work in the warehouse can be hard. But for your leaders to be this ill-mannered and uncivilized is not the way to go. Stopped by midday today and picked up a box of cat food. After a whole ride back with my groceries and other items, I opened the box to find it INFESTED with cockroaches. I threw most of the food out and had to bleach down my entire first floor. If this box of enclosed food was this bad, I can't even imagine the roaches that may have gotten in the food. read more

I've been a member here for years and in my opinion Costco is better than Sams or BJ's. They have liquor, tires, gasoline, cellphones, eyeglasses, and flowers. The bakery makes great cakes and a lot of other pastries. They have a huge produce section (the grapes are great). The seafood and meat section is amazing as well. Just about anything you can think of they have here. They are great for Christmas shopping too......all sorts of gifts for just about anyone. Especially good when your at a loss trying to figure out a gift idea. The snack bar is good too and everything is really cheap. The only thing keeping this Costco from five stars is the parking and traffic which are horrible. When it's busy (like weekends or after five pm) it's like trying to run through the NY Giants defense trying to get a spot!!! Christmas time you can forget about.......there is only one way in and out and it bottlenecks. Bad engineering which I can't fault Costco for but is present nonetheless. This was my second or third visit to this location and while the parking is inadequate and taxing, the overall experience is good. I was in for the holidays and this COSTCO is the closest. The store is not as big or as new as the Culver City location, but very neat and clean and easy to navigate. I picked up a couple of shirts, slacks and a phone charger/portable battery. The lines were moving nicely and they have a separate section for liquor. They don't have many samples like CC, but the prices are almost exact and they have a very nice meat and produce sections too. Surprisingly the store was empty on Christmas Eve and they were closing at 5 PM. I'm a big COSTCO fan and this location needs an upgrade the parking needs to be addressed, but one inside it was smooth sailing! COSTCO of Clifton: RECOMMEND! read more

Costco is one of those places which is always hopping and always busy. If you prepare yourself to deal with a crazy parking lot and don't let yourself be intimidated by long checkout lines you will be fine. The lines do move quickly because everyone has the same goal of getting in and out quickly. Even the impossible gas lines more quickly. Most people are very civilized about it and polite because the prices are good. The store brand items deliver flavor and for particular items Costco has great prices but you need to know your prices. I called earlier and asked if the had the TPMS for my car and they did. I had called Costco in Union and the one in Teterboro didn't have it in stock. This review is for the cafeteria at Costco not the store. Food bargains are what they serve here. Its consistently fresh and delicious and the prices can't be beat even at home. Everyone loves the pizza here, it's doughy, cheesy and decadent. The Premio sausage sandwich is fantastic, plump and brimming with peppers and onions on a soft roll. Their hot dogs, Chicken bake and other items are also very good. But the winner for me is the $3.99 Chicken Ceasar Salad. Driving all over NJ I can always find this cheap healthy meal nearby, just skip the croutons and don't use all the dressing and you'll be turning heads in no time. Its worth the trip just to get the fast food here. Well done Costco, just please offer a simple balsamic and olive oil dispenser at the store please? The guy in front of me was able to return a bag of four he dropped in the parking lot on the ground covered with COVID 19.
