The pharmacy staff here consistently show poor customer service, at least in my experience. They often ignore customers waiting in line, which is both frustrating and unprofessional. One staff member even assisted someone who cut in front of me just to check out a drink--after I had already been waiting for five minutes. I'll be filling my prescriptions at Market St from now on. I've gone at all different times if the day since I live within walking distance, and no matter what, the pharmacy always has the longest line. The pharmacy opens at 9 am, I went at 9:50 this morning and it was still closed with a line of people already with no information about when/if it'll open. My doctor called in a prescription yesterday at 10 am, went to pick it up at 7 pm, and was told I'd take another 45 minutes. If there's was any other pharmacy closer to me, I'd switch in a heartbeat. But unfortunately I'm stuck here. A note about the retail store- prices are ALWAYS wrong. The tag will say one thing, and it comes up as a different (higher) price when you go to check out. No one is updating price tags. read more

The two women working at the pharmacy were great, but they were the only two. It's so horribly short staffed that my prescription took over an hour of waiting in the store. It had said 'in process' on the CVS app for three days before I finally went in person and just waited myself. Until they hire more people, I do not recommend. Maybe they should be offering better incentives to work there if they can't find anyone. read more

I called the front office for help with something. It took them 8 minutes to answer my call. When they finally did the person was rude to me and barely spoke English. Then I called the pharmacy and they were a bit nicer. But still no help. How do you get medicine to someone that's sick (away from home at college with no car) if they don't deliver OTC drugs. One star on behalf of all CVS. My doctor put in a prescription for liquid medication on Thursday. It was not in stock and CVS said they will order on Friday. I call on MY own on Monday, they tell me that they don't have the liquid because it's rare and the manufacturer didn't have it either. Would I have found this out if I didn't call? What if I got really sick during the meantime of waiting for this medication? It is Tuesday, and they told me they will switch back to the tablets instead of liquid for me, but they need permission from the doctor to do so. More waiting! I am very sick and getting progressively worse. I don't know how this is legal. Shame on CVS for not carrying medications people need, and making the customers do the work when it comes to calling playing telephone. read more

I work in group homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This CVS has told my agency that they will no longer serve individuals in group homes. They refuse to make label changes for prescriptions written by doctors. Most pharmacists and techs at this location that my agency has made contact with have been disrespectful, not understanding and plain rude. While state legislation on medication administration is strict for group homes, you would think that a pharmacy would be willing to clarify medication instructions (that are backed up with a physician prescription). Especially considering their customers are adults with intellectual disabilities. If you are looking for a compassionate pharmacy that cares about its customers, I would look elsewhere. read more

I don't mind waiting. But this pharmacy is FILTHY. I went to get a flu shot. I didn't have my card, my fault I had to wait, understandable. But the runaround I received I truly believe was out of spite and the table/chair area where you get the shot is absolutely filthy. Holes/scratches in the table cover. Rubber gloves all over the place. Pieces of paper/coupons strewn about. I really wanted to get the flu shot, so I was willing to wait. But the longer I looked at that dirty table, I just couldn't do it and walked out. read more

In college, my best friend and I used to just go to CVS to browse and wink at the cute stock boys. Of course this was out in Amherst, not at this Brighton Center location, which has a dearth of cute stock boys though the lady pharmacists are quite pretty. You'll probably notice that while you sit and wait for your prescription forEVER, since it seems like everyone and their mother and their grandmothers and grandfathers go to this particular CVS pharmacy. I only went here because it was close to the St E's hospital and they carried the heavy duty painkillers that the broken-in-7-places-armed boyfriend needed at the time. (Target Pharmacy is much quicker,) That being said, the pharmacists are nice and patient, and the CVS has all those useful things you'd expect - nail polish, Odwalla juice, generic Tonka trucks, cards, etc -- but no Clapper. Go elsewhere if you're looking for a Clapper. I will probably only return here when I'm in dire need of some drug store related necessity and already in Brighton center, or if the BF breaks his other arm and needs more drugs, but this place does the trick when you need it to. read more

I go here a few times a week. Most of the staff is really nice. There are a few cashiers who seem less than thrilled with working there, which I get, but suck it up. You're getting paid to monitor the self-checkout. Things could be a lot worse. Besides the staff, my complaint would be the pricing. Hand soap costs $3.50? lol no thanks. I didn't factor that into my rating because I seriously doubt the employees have anything to do with that. I like this store because it's convenient and very close to me. read more

Disclaimer: pharmacy only! I can't believe this is the first time I've written a review on this place. This is the most INCOMPETENT pharmacy I've ever been too. I have been here several times and I've never once had a good experience. They have no idea what they are doing. You will wait in a line of people, then once you get to the front they'll realize they did something wrong - then tell you to wait while they fix. They'll call your name over the speaker when your scripts are ready - then make you wait AGAIN in a line of 10 people! A 2 min trip turns into 45 mins ever damn time. AWFUL SERVICE AT THE PHARMACY. I'm sick, so perhaps I'm a little impatient anyway, but these "pharmacists" could not be more condescending. They definitely went out of their way to let me see how bothered they were by my questions. Prescriptions called in over an hour and a half ago. They "couldn't find" one of them. I had the doctor on call paged, she had to call the pharmacy 2x to assure them the orders had been called in. I waited over an hour and a half for things that had already been called in. In fairness, the pharmacy techs were very courteous and seemed sympathetic to my situation. Even though this CVS is very close to where I live, I will go WAY out of my way to make sure I don't have to deal with these pharmacists again. read more

Well, this is my "neighborhood pharmacy". I go here about 3-5 times a week. The employees are alright. Some aren't exactly the friendliest but, hey, whatever. The lines can back up, but the employees are very good about calling for the others to come to the registers and help out. Pretty well-stocked. Has an average amount of stuff. I've seen some CVS with more products and some with less. Has its own parking lot. Pharmacy is average wait times/employees. Never had a problem with the Photo Department. All in all, I'm glad there's an average CVS around the corner. read more

This time it was an intern who helped me so I would assume the service should be better compared to that rude tech. The greeter girl near the self-service machines were nice, saying hi and bye. I used to like this CVS mainly because it was so close to my place but have since changed my mind & for the best. When picking up my prescription I noticed that it was the wrong medicine. They had given me a generic brand that my doctor pacifically stated on the script that I could NOT have. The pharmacist wanted me to call my doctor's office and confirm that this is the case. I don't think they were expecting me to call the office right there while in the pick-up line in order to confirm this. I had the pharmacist talk directly w/ my doctor on my cell so that I could pick up the correct prescription. It was like pulling teeth for the pharmacist to understand this. The only way all of this was rectified was to file a complaint w/ the Department of Public Health. Since then it seems like they are bending over backwards to help me. It shouldn't have gone to that point to receive good customer service. What if others don't know that if they file a complaint that's the only way you'll be treated w/ respect. This is not right. To top it all off they were going to charge me 3 times as much as they did the month prior due to "insurance teirs". Now I understand that insurance companies change medication teirs but it would have been nice for the Pharmacy to at least inform their customers so that we have the $$ to pick up our prescriptions. So long story short-CHECK YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE & don't be afraid to question them if anything doesn't look or sound right to you. Always go w/ your gut. read more

Have an issue with the pharmacy EVERY time I come here. Prescriptions are never ready when they should be and the pharmacy staff fails to answer questions regarding the issue every time. Aside from that, they are never apologetic and no one is very pleasant whenever I go. Not sure where the customer service training was but it clearly didn't make its way back to the pharmacy staff. Will be transferring my monthly prescriptions elsewhere even though this is walking distance from my house. read more

I have been going to this cvs on and off for 5 years and Every time I am there, it's a issue. I choose to go here because it is so close to my house and I don't feel the need to go out of the way just to grab a few things. The managers are helpful and polite, and always solve issues that the staff seems to come up with. It's too bad that the managers are the ones who are polite and understand what it means to work there unlike the other employees. I feel as though they just do not really care and look at there job as just a paycheck. One of the older ladies is extremely rude and always makes snark remarks and comments when I am in line at the self checkout. read more

I never thought I'd ever have the need to review a CVS. The other reviews generally covered it by noting how there's a much cleaner and larger CVS right down Market Street. I'm only here to comment on the pharmacy. Just be warned. First, they've shorted me on pills. That is, the bottle and prescription said X amount but they only gave me Y amount. Second, they've told me they'd refill a prescription but then, when I came back for it later, they said they never did refill it and I'd have to reauthorize the script from my doctor. (Thanks, CVS, for that phantom phone call letting me know about any of that.) But otherwise they generally seem like nice people. And I don't think any of the pharmacy mistakes can be attributed to one of the young men with glasses who works there--(maybe Josh is his name?). read more

The atmosphere was very hectic, perhaps due to the snow storm? Poor organization in the check out area, it was difficult for customers to figure out where to stand in line for the self serve stations. I'm leaving this review to warm people about the entrance to this CVS. The main entrance (complete with automated doors) is located on the corner of the building which either leads you blindly into sidewalk foot traffic from the left, or straight into a busy two lane car driveway. read more

I ask this with all sincerity: is it CVS' nationwide policy to have unbearably slow lines? And not only that, but have you ever noticed how people have to queue at CVS? Everyone forms one big massive line that inevitably ends up running down some random aisle, usually the candy aisle since that's in the center of the store, rather than logically forming a few shorter lines. Well, if CVS' general inefficiency gets you down, don't go to the Brighton location. I went today at a time that wasn't even close to peak CVS hours (it was 11:35am on a Monday morning). When I got on the line, I was the fifth person, and I stood there a record-breaking, mind-numbing 17 minutes. Either the cashiers have to perform some complex calculations for each customer or something is seriously, seriously wrong here. read more

The service here has gone down hill, so much so that I now fill my prescriptions at the CVS in Cleveland Circle. I have no idea what happened to the pharmacy staff, but since they remodeled the service is the worst. Long lines, no communication between the techs and the pharmacists. If they can not find your prescription, they just accuse you of not being "on record" with them and send you to another line, instead of looking on the fax or the "in process" box of prescriptions. They even lost several of my husbands prescriptions, (even after our MD called several times or faxed them in) and even told my MD that my husband picked up a prescription that she had not even called in. When our MD confonted them on it, they just gave her a song and dance. No thanks, no one needs that hassle, especially when you are not well and just want to get your drugs and leave. read more

called the pharmacy to verify prescription delivery details, only to be on hold for so long that the time for delivery availability for the entire day lapsed. needed prescriptions urgently and when someone finally picked up the phone they just laughed at my problem. and one of the prescriptions is out of stock, which is very upsetting because i am now missing a full days worth of important meds after being hospitalized due to absolute lack of professionalism or care in an industry that should always have those traits .... so disappointing and am honestly unsure what to do without the medication. very sad because i relied on them for the safety of my own health and they absolutely fail to deliver their end or even pretend like they care.... read more

It's near my house, they have my prescriptions. And self check out. Convenient parking.

It's a CVS, but the nice thing about this one is that they have a huge private parking lot. Plus pharmacy, photo center, etc. FYI they sell Peanut Butter Toast Crunch cereal, which is pretty hard to find. That's usually why I end up there. read more
