I visited this Target today to honestly get my steps in! I was not planning on getting anything at all, but per usual, I always end up walking out with something haha. This was my first time at this Target location and it's not bad at all. They seemed to have everything you would find at any other Target. Upon walking in, I was met with their clearance section. HELLO KITTIES ON CLEARANCE? It was so difficult for me to say "no" because I love Hello Kitty! I ended up giving in & got two of them. This is a pretty solid Target location, they've got it all. Pretty clean for the most part & did not have trouble finding stuff that I wanted/needed. Would totally come back again! This is one of the nicer Target locations that I've been to. In fact, if I remember rightly, it is the very first location that I ever shopped. The store is always neat, clean and always easy and pleasant to shop. The aisles are always well organized and very well stocked. Their prices are pretty reasonable on the items they sell here. They carry a good selection of clothing, accessories, health and beauty items, electronics, housewares and more. There are always plenty of registers open here so you won't have much of a wait when you want to go ahead and pay for your items. There is a huge parking lot so parking is pretty easy here. I've grown on up on this Target and I can proudly say that I never have a hard time looking for what I need. Automatic win in my book. Every time I go, it's well stocked, there's plenty of staff floating around if you need help (and if not then they are busy stocking), and this specific location is HUGE. Online you can select "Watertown" as the location and it will tell you the aisle the item could be found in store. I've done this before and it's worked! My items really ARE there. Awesome feature and even more awesome that it works. The parking lot outside is huge. It really seems like the parking lot is used by only Target customers (which is nuts because it's massive and is always at least half full) and then the higher up the hill you go, there's even more parking, but that seems more for Chase customers *lets take a moment to remember when this was a Friendly's aka the best peanut butter friend-z one could ever have*. Fitting rooms are typically closed and it's always going to be busy inside, but that's Target for ya! This is my local Target that Ive been going to for years and I've noticed some things wrong with it. To begin, there's no customer service when you call, you have to go in. No one is ever available to answer or pickup a call in the years that I've called. The workers themselves are fine, some way better than others but they're not helpful. They'll point for you to go somewhere if you don't know where a certain item is. It needs better management, not sure if this is a world wide Target issue, or if it's just this one. I have a lot of fond memories in this Target since childhood, and can confirm that shelves are fully stocked 99.9%, and as for that 0.1% you can usually ask and they'll likely have it in inventory. The online ordering system here is also very efficient and quick, and I've gotten packages all prepared and ready to go here within a timely manner of two hours. They have everything from home goods, to groceries, to the latest Apple product. Just bought an Xbox controller today and the staff in the tech aisle were very helpful. Also, the lines during Labor Day are efficient and go quick for Back-to-School shopping, so don't fret! I will be back again and again! read more

Target has a new scam you might watch out for. They are charging a nonrefundable $11 for a 'Renewable Monthly Membership' that you are inadvertently signed up for when you do a Target pickup. It's the kind of sleazy money-grubbing trick that happens with failing companies, so I guess it doesn't really need my personal opinion, but I am sick of being forced into situations like this without my knowledge. I might have signed up for the service if they had given me the choice, but barring that, I am now an ex-customer. They are losing ground. My business will not break the chain, but with this kind of customer abuse, they are breaking their own back. read more

2.5 star is very accurate reflective of this location. It's the only Target in this area, so it gets busy at all hours of the day. The parking lot is for the entire Watertown mall. There is also a bus stop outside, so it's easily accessible. I've been here so many times. The location is convenient. I had left a bag full of paid for items at the register on Mother's Day! I immediately called the Target Store on Arsenal and spoke to the manager-Steve. The manager was so caring and professional. Steve tried looking for the missing paid for items with no luck. I told him the receipt was also in that bag! I showed him my credit card charge and he informed me that he would work it out with me. I picked up my daughter's Mother's Day gifts for a second time and brought them back to Steve. He even asked if I had remembered everything in that bag! He was able to clear that for me and I got the items back! I'm thankful for representatives like Steve. I'll be more careful when leaving a store now-I hope:-) read more

Today around 9:20 PM I called this Target because I wanted to check if they had an item in stock, I called multiple times since no one was answering the phone, it said open on their website, and I wanted to get this item before it sold out. After calling a few times without any answer, someone finally picked up, however, when they answered all I heard was a low growl from the other end and before I could say anything they hung up. I bypassed this incident and called again to ask about the item, finally a man in the electronics department answered and I asked about if they had an item in stock, and before I could even say the specific item, he responded with "No," I was confused because I hadn't even specified the item, so I asked him to please check for the book, he put me on hold and after a bit just hung up! I understand you might be stressed, but this was disrespectful and unprofessional. This wouldn't have even happened if they had answered the first call, but somehow it took multiple calls for them to answer. This was an awful experience and I hope they're able to fix this before the employee makes others feel disrespected. read more

Thank you Target for making shopping a complete pain in the butt by locking up everything I went in to buy. I saved a couple hundred dollars by not buying things. The store is always severely understaffed, every time of day and night. This means it is impossible to get most products, because they are locked up on shelves and there are no employees to open the locks. It is always out of half the products because, again, no employees. And it can take half an hour to check out because there are no cashiers, the self checkout machines are constantly malfunctioning, and again - no employees to help. Given how overpriced it is, I would recommend never shopping here. read more

My local and favorite target so far. 4 stars only because they often run out or are our of stock on items but I believe that's more so due to it being so close to students and the time of year when everyone's moving in. Their Aisles are a little out of order compared to others I've visited but it just takes some getting used to as it seems a bit larger than other locations too. I've gone here a few times since I moved to the area. This particular Target is not consistent with any other Target I've ever been to. It is messy, not well-stocked, has SO many people at any given time, doesn't offer drive-up orders (yes, you need to walk in and stand in line). Now, I am an avid Target lover. I LOVE going to Target. I always have nice experiences going to Target and love the ease of shopping, the pleasant atmosphere, the nicely laid out merchandise. At this location the shelves are empty, messy, disorganized. It honestly feels like a Walmart experience. This is the first Target I've been to that has the MOST staff walking around and they offer little to no help, and when you do catch anyone's attention, they don't give a rats a** about helping you. And I've definitely come across staff who just don't seem to know anything either and less of the latter. So, conclusion is that they're basically useless. I will be avoiding this Target at all costs, and suggest you do too. It's not the Target I know and love. read more

One star for HORRIBLE service at the pizza shop. It is RARELY staffed. I call ahead of time to make sure they're open (as it's my kids FAVORITE pizza) and they've been out "on a short break" almost every time. I am currently waiting (as I have been for 50 minutes) for them to open. I don't blame the pizza shop employees.. I blame TARGET for not having their act together EVER. Pretty sure I read that this location was one of the highest grossing Targets in the country, but they certainly don't act like it. read more

How did Target go from a beacon of retail store design to a hot, heaping mess of confusion? What once was 'run and done' is now 'crawl and stall' at this location. The decline of the Watertown store started with its layout redesign going from an easy-to-remember grid to multiple rotaries!?! At that point I reduced my patronage by 80%. If I need something fast, I order online and pick-up at the store--let them run around like mice in a maze. Hoping for significant improvements since the redesign, I ventured in last week. The is no evidence of improvements. There was an abundance of evidence of further decline--merchandise piled on the floor, different items in different sizes hung on same rows or hangers, few correct price tags/signs, and forlorn looking staff.
