Listen up folks! This CVS store deals with an enormous amount of shoplifting and rude customers. I've only ever had patient and polite service when I ask for help. I've come here for daily hygiene products, get passport photos and the usual CVS goods. Popped into today on Thanksgiving day for something last minute and it's well staffed for a holiday. They're all busy working to restock and always have someone at the self checkout to assist customers. Give these hardworking individuals some grace and kindness. read more

This review is solely related to the pharmacy. I lived 1 block away on Rockwell PL. They are the absolute WORST pharmacy on the planet. Every single month I had the exact same issue (Your script was rejected call you insurer, Upon calling the insurer, script is covered, the rejection was solely based on their error. All they had to do was call us and we would have advised them what they are doing wrong) 100% of the time it was their error. When I would request they contact my insurer, they would advise, "We don't have time to do that. I had a script for testosterone cypionate (A controlled substance). Each time there was an issue. Even if I got past the issue, i could NEVER get a 90 day supply for some reason or another (My insurer covers 90 day supply). I finally switched to a Walgreens pharmacy recommended by my doctor. It's 5 stops away on the train, but NEVER an Issue b/c if they get a rejection they notify me and advise they have reached out to the both the doc and insurer to address the issue. read more

I've never encountered a worse CVS. The disorganization is staggering. The pharmacists are consistently rude, uncaring, make you wait for hours, and constantly out of stock in life saving medications (and DO NOT INFORM YOU WHEN THEY ARE). If you are on medications that are critical to your wellness, do NOT fill them here. Chances are they are out of stock and when you arrive to pick them up, despite the text message saying it's ready. I've watched 6 people in the past hour get turned away because their "ready for pick up prescription" is out of stock and it will take a few days to get the medications in. This happens literally all the time. They say "call ahead" and then leave you on hold for 46 minutes (and occasionally pick up only to immediately hang up). Again, if you are on life saving medication, or medication where you cannot skip a day, go somewhere else. Probably a Duane Reade. * oh and when I asked to speak to a manager to file a formal complaint, the pharmacy manager wasn't even there. He had left. It's 4pm. read more

This is the worst CVS pharmacy I have ever been to. Particularly in the last year. They have 1) given me the incorrect medication eg labeled one way what was inside was different. That is illegal. 2) you will always wait 20+ minutes I've never seen a more unorganized place. There will be 10 staff a line 10 deep and one poor person working alone while others are "filling". No point in filling if no one can pick up their medication. 3) they will constantly mess up your insurance. I've gone for years and I've been told I was under Medicare in my 30s for a medication I get monthly. Logical. Save yourself time and stress and find another pharmacy. My experience here has never been great, but it's just where I went so I kept going. However, trying to refill an early prescription that was approved and provided by my doctor ONE WEEK EARLY, because I am traveling for three weeks out of state has been a nightmare. The prescription is for a Schedule II controlled substance, so I understand there are some restrictions, but I was only trying to fill 7 days early and I had a good reason for doing so - as there can be complications with refilling in a different state than the one where a medication is prescribed. On the first night, the pharmacists told me they could not refill at my current dosage (15mg) under any circumstances and my best option was to have my doctor write a prescription for double the dose (30mg) that I can split into two. I told him that didn't make sense, but if that's my only option then I'll message my doctor. I messaged my doctor via the application, but she was off and another doctor was covering for her. The covering doctor submitted it on her behalf, so I could get my medication before I left. I returned the next day and this time I'm denied as the female pharmacy manager said it was "shady" (her exact words). Now - I'm not even denying the double dosage doesn't make sense, but it wasn't my idea, I was perfectly happy to just refill my normal dosage and was just doing what the pharmacist the night before had told me to do. She did say she could refill it if she called the doctors to verify it, but unfortunately it was just before 8 PM and they were closed. What I don't understand is what exactly she thought was happening - if you can refill it after discussing with the doctors, then the only justification for denial is she thought I had somehow manipulated the system to submit a prescription electronically on behalf of two separate doctors (at the same medical practice). Honestly, if I was trying to manipulate the system and I had that kind of access -- wouldn't I at least go through two different pharmacies? The whole situation is insane to me. They wasted a lot of my time and lost a customer by jumping to conclusions and assuming the worse over what was a one time exception I've never requested before and could justify. read more

VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I needed medication for my 3 year old and had it transferred to this location. I called to ask if it was ready being that I know they close at 8pm and it was 725pm. A guy who answered said your med isn't ready but it's next so come now because we close at 8. My husband arrives 745 and the gates are closed everyone is gone. A girl answer the phone and hangs up, and tells my husband she can't process any items being that she's not pharmacy staff. Now I have to wait until the morning and my daughter is in pain. Place is a dumpster fire I love supporting local business. When CVS bought Aetna, it in no way impacted me. Mostly because my employer used Blue Cross at the time. Then they switched to, you guessed it, Aetna. Now, if I don't use CVS my co-pay is 3-4 times more for the same medication. Instead of going to support a local pharmacy a block from me , I have to schlep to a shitty box store that's devoid of a soul*. It's dirty. Prescriptions are never filled when they're supposed to be. In fact, I'm literally standing here now , waiting an extra 15 minutes to have a script filled - I worked all day, then went to school, I don't want to be here for 30 seconds, let alone 15 min. I legit need a few things from a CVS type store right now, and won't buy them here because of all of this. I'll find any place other than CVS to shop, I dislike them so much. Anyway, TL;DR? They are the WORST pharmacy I have been to anywhere. They are disorganized and uninformed on how to use their app and no delivery except on Mondays. They are unprofessional. They need to be properly trained. Don't bother to call to see if your order is complete and ready because they do not thoroughly check. They will just say yes and then when you arrive you will discover it is not ready or when you return home you will notice you're missing prescriptions. Every time I go to get prescriptions for family member it is F_)Ked up. As of today I am DONE with CVS. Also, people are lined up there on top of you -- no such thing as HIPPA. SMH. More than waste time doing more reviews as there are plenty of this store I would just encourage everyone to look at the source of any good reviews and you will see that they are guides. This means they probably never even been to the place and they are paid by Yelp who guarantees with contracts a certain number of good reviews. This is all standard practice and there's nothing illegal it's just incredibly on that Circle and actually it's one of the most ethical things you'll find happening in this Pharmacy. I have seen them yell oh, I have seen them tell patients I don't know oh, I have seen them tell patients that are on medications that have to be taken every day but they have to possibly wait five days. And then because they have a constant flow a pharmacist and the spineless Pharmacy employees refuse to speak up because of the toxic environment within the pharmacy. All the sudden this Venom was turned on me. And I have had the same prescription from the same provider for 9 years. They discriminate highly against the disabled on a regular basis because they know oh, and this is coming out of your pockets people that aren't on disability , so listen up, because when they put disabled people at a disadvantaged we have to go to the emergency room. Which cost the US easily hundreds of times what the cost of the prescription would be. In fact the service in the pharmacy is so horrible that they're probably going to wind up closing it is the source of much litigation right now. And you know CVS They'll take your money but once they get that prescription who knows when you'll see it. And sadly that's the case at most CVS stores Now for 30 Flatbush you need to take your normal CVS store and run it through kind of some stupid and mean Wormhole LOL to come up with how truly rude and questionably qualified this Pharmacy truly is. I can add nothing to the reviews that are there. And note to think we any positive review is CVS's or yelp's manufacturer and you can tell by the guide icon. Thank you And you know I just want to clarify it would be better for everybody if this Pharmacy would just improve. But it's not and now it's building sticks out like a sore thumb in an area that is quickly being modernized. My doctor sent a prescription to this CVS to order a vaccine. I called a week later inquiring about the vaccine was told that the prescription was on hold due to "high pricing." I was never contacted to give insurance information. When I called, the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and impatient. She asked for my insurance provider and could immediately process the prescription. She talked back at me whenever I asked her to repeat herself because I didn't hear or understand her. The prescription would never have been filled if I didn't call, and she said she doesn't know if it will be filled because they don't handle live vaccines at their location. I'll have to keep calling back to see if the prescription is ever filled because I will not be contacted about any barriers. How can you have a pharmacy that won't pick up phones? I get that we're in a pandemic still, but the corporation has had how many months now to figure this out? Geez, nobody saw this coming... In the new year my first resolution will be to stop using CVS and transfers all my scripts to a tiny mom and pop pharmacy in my neighborhood. I stopped by today to have a prescription transferred from a pharmacy that did not have the medication for my daughter. The pharmacy is a mom & pop, so they do not have e script. Ok, cool. I figured CVS would be able to handle the matter. The mom & pop said they could fax over the script & was even apologetic. The young woman working at the front Monday August 15th at CVS was dismissive, zero interpersonal skills, condescending and unprofessional. She was walking around speaking to the young man who was at the register, mumbling that she never got a fax. Not to me, but him! I'm invisible now! Mind you, I'm standing there & she's clearly annoyed. Not once during the 45 minutes or more I sat there did she say, "Hey, I never received the fax. You might want to call the pharmacy to follow-up." Isn't that excellent customer service? Empathy? No, instead she stood there avoiding my eyes. "I have not received a fax," walking like she was doing something beyond her scope or better yet, like I slept with her man or something. That was it for me. Thing is, I was wearing a cute Zara dress, white Chucks, Egyptian musk & a mask. I speak well for the most part & am diplomatic. Why her disposition was less than attractive was beyond me. Like, why?! My daughter's ill & needs her meds. What's the big whoop?! If I had gone in there with an attitude & rude then I would be wrong, right?! Interesting thing is her position is serving the public & she sucks at it. This location has bad reviews already & for some reason it isn't getting any better. I didn't say anything. It's like as if this location have a designated hobo that lives there, the entrance and doorway ALWAYS smell like pee. This location is the nearest closeby to work, but I probably won't be shopping at CVS for a while. Came here to return a grilled apron (brought 4, only used 3) that I brought at another location (in Harlem) and was told I would need to go back to the original location to return it. No worries, travelled to another CVS that have the capable staff whom completed the return with no issue. So now I'm not sure if that was an ACTUAL store policy or the staff were incompetent liars.
