The pharmacist and the staff are slow and rude. I had to pay for a medication out of pocket, and they didn't accept rx discounts. I asked if this is at every CVS or just this one and they acted as if they didn't know. The fact is, it's up to the discretion of each pharmacist... if I would have known, I would have asked to switch pharmacies. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. There's a lot of small family owned pharmacies around. I won't be bringing my business here anymore. Also, don't buy anything here, every item is marked up tremendously. read more

Its your usual CVS honestly... it does have some questionable people sometimes outside but thats normal for CVS's and inside feels like your regular store where sometimes the associates seem to be busy or not enough of them sometimes when you need it and stuff can feel a little scattered around but again its very typical. I've been here a few times, not sure why I haven't posted a review. It's bigger than most CVS spots I've been, but it's clean everytime I came through. Signage is clear so I didn't have the need to bother staff and ask where what I was looking for may be. (I needed an eyeglass repair kit and found it immediately.) Everything is well spaced out. Picked up a couple more items and was outta there in no time. There was a long checkout line, but the cashiers were quick to get us out without feeling like we were being rushed. Open 24 hours, this is a very large CVS with a photo studio. We wanted to pick up some OTC medication prescribed, so stopped by this location since we were in Carson and hadn't been here before. Because of the very large footprint, there are many items and displays not found in other CVS locations. There is a lot of space, and empty shelves. A certain set of items were behind locks, but there seemed to be a decent amount of employees working. Unfortunately, we couldn't find two of the three things that we needed, so bought what we could. Never come to this pharmacy the worker Iris was extremely rude towards my husband and I we went in right after being in the Emergency room we go in for my husbands medicines she asked for his information we then gave it to her and she then proceeded with a attitude telling us that only one prescription was ready and they have not yet received the other we told her the emergency room said if there was any problems to have the pharmacy call them she said with an attitude and very rude tone "we don't call the emergency room here ever" I then asked why she was having a attitude towards us and she proceeded with a attitude saying they can't call the emergency room they don't do those things around here to call the emergency room or figure it out someway I then asked for my other prescription and she said to wait 15 minutes after saying it was ready iris was extremely rude towards my husband and I the worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacist never again! read more

Why, more times than not, is the line down the aisle with minimal staff? There's six registers and no self service. Why does it take so long to ring up? Are the registers more difficult to use? But there's scanners attached so what's up? I think if they had someone visible on the floor customers could ask questions to the floor person instead of waiting till they get to the register to ask questions. read more

A few days ago around 8 PM Ish, went to pick up my prescription medication. I was the only one in line and all of a sudden their systems went down. A young lady named Maggie gave me two options. She said I can come back tomorrow or wait on the side pointing at chairs. I decided to wait at the chairs line started to form and nobody from the pharmacy was letting anybody know I walked up to the counter to let Maggie know that I was sitting on the side still to please not forget so I would not lose my place in line. She started to tell me that she said I had the option of coming back tomorrow and actually suggested this time I come back tomorrow. I informed her that I would not be leaving and coming back tomorrow and that I would wait as she had given me the option in the first place. At some point, the pharmacist got involved. Never ever in my life had I met a medical professional behave so poorly towards a person who was desperately in need of medication. I asked her if she can call to see if another pharmacy have my medication and she refused to pick up the phone and make the call I kept saying so you're not going to pick up the phone and make a call and she just said no the systems are down and I said well are the telephones down also, and all she did was stare down at me. I was very annoyed and angry by the end of it that I left I went home filed a complaint called the pharmacy and left a message. Asking them to call me when the systems were back up so I can go pick up my medication within 15 minutes, a different pharmacist called me to say that her systems were back up. I sent my son in to pick up my medication. I went in with him, but stood off to the side, speaking with another pharmacy tech. She was one of those sitting behind the counter with the other nine or 10 while I was having the interaction with the pharmacist and while the "systems were down" sitting behind the counter laughing at the interaction earlier. Instead of intervening they were sitting back there laughing it up. As I said, my son and I went in and he got in line to get the medication and I was off to the side after I had my interaction with the young lady. She started laughing again. I reminded her she is included in the ethics complaint for the same thing. I walked out of the store. my son who was in line to pick up my medication, was already at the counter with the other young lady working on getting my medication he said when I walked away, the both of the girls started laughing, and since they didn't know he was my son. They felt it was OK to be disrespectful like that in front of customers. My son complained to the pharmacist on at that time. You can tell it hurt his feelings for them to laugh at me when I walked away and they were then helping him get my medication. He told them they were disgusting for doing that. He never mentioned he was my son. This could've been any mother any son, any father any daughter that they find it easy to laugh at and disrespect while using the CVS they work at. Like don't they know where their paycheck's roots are from? Customers, providers, pharmaceutical companies. It would suck if that changed. Then where would your paycheck come from? The front store? Nope. You should be in the business of being kind and empathetic to PATIENTS. read more

Other CVS locations automatically apply discount coupons to cash pay prescriptions when available, but not this location!! That's insane because most drug manufacturers have coupon programs to make their medicines available to people who can't afford them, and the drug manufacturers ACTIVELY ADVERTISE these coupons!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! This CVS should have a BIG SIGN stating that they do not accept coupons. I've transferred all my Rxs to 1880 S. PCH, Redondo Beach, 90277 +1 (310) 316-6492 And the service here is usually with an attitude that the customer is a big inconvenience. I do understand that the store's decision not to accept Coupons has nothing to do with the employees work in there. They don't make those decisions. So if the location did accept Coupons, then I would probably get this location three stars, but the floor is almost always dirty. Inside the store, the parking lot is dirty, so I just really don't like going to the store. It's not well taken care of and yet they won't apply Coupons? I had a prescription for a medicine that I have to pay out-of-pocket for. At the store, it would be about $584 cash pay. At the CVS on 1880 S. Pacific Coast Highway In Redondo Beach, it cost me about $52, plus, all the employees at that Redondo Beach location are super nice, super friendly, super sweet. They actually care. I'm not saying that the employees at the store don't care. I would imagine they're simply overworked and underpaid like most of us out here. I know that's what made me jaded at my job. So to me, what sucks really the most is the management or the owner. Because I see more staff much more staff at stores CVS stores that are smaller than this one. Is this a franchised CVS??? Plus it's almost always dirty here. The floor almost always has trash on it, the parking lot always has some sort of disgusting spill on it like a lot of oil or a lot of soda something sticky. I never use this term because I find it to be derogatory, but to call this store "ghetto" is pretty apt, unfortunately. The young lady who was going to ring me up for my prescription was very kind and understanding about my situation. So even though I'm irate about the policy, of course I'm not in with her. Iris in the pharmacy needs to work on her customer service. There was even an old lady in front of me she was helping that was just asking questions and received nothing but attitude from her and no help at all. Horrible service! Order one item for pick up at the front of the store. I was told to still wait in the long line to get the item I already paid for. What is the point of ordering something for pick up if I still need to wait in the long line to pick it up? I would normally not use cvs because I never like their service, but Target was out of the product I needed for my baby. read more

Everyone at this store is absolutely useless. Nobody comes whenever the button is pushed, and after a long wait and many presses the most you'll get is someone who doesn't know where anything is. There's also no self checkout so there's always a massive line at the checkout that's manned by a single person despite there being five counters. What a mess. read more

Says open 24hours came in around 3-4am and waited about and hour or so before someone came to tell me their systems are rebooting and its done daily. No sign or note displaying that. I had three transaction and this female cashier (4/24/24 at 12pm) wanted to help another person behind me before completing my transactions. That is a very bad business! Always come here for my prescription meds since it's by my house. It's usually packed for check out at the front. Sometimes it's packed at the pharmacy too. They're usually super nice. I've had issues in the past with it taking forever, but I try to come when it's not as busy. Over the counter meds are usually not fully stocked, so I would go to target or Walmart or somewhere else if you're looking for something specific. I also think the pricing is higher at CVS. If it wasn't by my house, I wouldn't choose to come here. It works for what I need it for. read more

Same slow service, different day. It's time change my location on new meds & refills.

This is not one of my favorite places to go, but I noticed they have made some improvements. Unfortunately I had to go there twice yesterday but all in all things were not bad. I needed help finding something on the floor and even though iI had to first look all around for someone and had to wait for them to finish up with someone else, they took me to the product I was looking for and were really pleasant. Also the 2nd time I went the line was VERY long, at least 12 people but they opened a 2nd and then 3rd line, so that's an improvement as well. I think the biggest thing I was happy about was for the first time in YEARS, they wasn't someone camped outside by the door asking for money or just camped or bothering anyone period! To whomever is responsible -- thank you! My shopping trip/Rx pick up was a lot nicer and I won't be so hesitant about coming if you guys keep this up! It's nice to have what you need in your own neighborhood! Also it was the last day of the month and I remembered to spend my monthly $10 coupon they give with the loyalty program! Placed an order for photos on yesterday. Came to pick them up and they don't have my pictures nor a record of my order. Then they told me the system was down on yesterday. The pharmacists in this store are beyond rude. Every-time I have to pick up a prescription is something. I currently have my parents address on file - city of Paramount & it's been like that for over 9 years. They refused to give me my medications because my parents address pops up, my driver License also has that address. I live in Carson but because i move so much I keep my parents address for everything. Dr office called me today and told me that they (cvs pharmacist) withheld the medications because of my address. I don't see what the big deal is, the medication is under my name, why do they care where I live. That's the store I chose because it's the Closest to my home. 2 months ago I also needed to pick up my meds one of them was norco, they refused to give it to me because they needed a triple confirmation from my doctor, even tho they sent the prescription through the drs office. Jaime did not give me his my receipt after a return transaction and I had to call the store to find out how much I was charged. I tried to call a couple times and they never picked up. I asked to get sent through their voicemail to the front store and nobody picked up the phone. I had to call the pharmacy by then I was pretty pissed off.
