I have given this pharmacy the benefit of these crazy times during COVID, but this is ridiculous. I get text messages saying my RX is ready. I go to pick it up and they tell me I have to wait over an hour! I leave and come back two hours later just to be told I still need to wait! Their excuse was that they are so busy. They told me people are waiting days for their prescriptions! What!!!! If you are in need of meds, I would think waiting for days wouldn't be good. The workers are tired and rude. There is nothing that looks like they want to be there!! How are we to be sure we get the correct meds?!? This has happened way too many times. I even got a notice to pick something up that wasn't mine!!!??! I wish there was somewhere to report this? I will be changing my pharmacy of choice! I've heard this from so many. There are going to be many customers leaving. Let's hope management takes a look at this and is proactive in dealing with it. Very disappointed!! read more

Other reviewers are correct. This is the worst run business in the entire town. You'd have better luck getting something done at MVA. Unbelievably rude staff. Do yourself a favor AVOID this CVS!! They are THE SLOWEST pharmacy I've ever dealt with!!! I had my doc phone in a prescription yesterday and over 24 hrs later they still don't have it filled!!! I called and was out on hold and was on hold for over 30 minutes... I was able to drive 5 miles to the store ....while on hold ...walked into the store to find no one in line and maybe 5 cars at the drive thru. My wife had surgery today left the hospital got her home came back out to get her pain meds. Went to CVS and was told by this young asian pharmacist he would not feel her prescriptions. Got the doc on the phone with him . He hung up on her and she called me back and said you are being racial profiled get you a lawyer ASAP. My Doctor said there was nothing wrong with the pain meds or her orders. If you are Black stay away from this store read more

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They greet you when you walk in and often offers assistance. The pharmacy staff is helpful knowledgeable and always willing to spend time with you to answer questions. The staff is also helpful when using the photo printers. One gentleman took time to teach me how to download the App to send my pictures to the machine and continued to assist me editing my photos. I wish all of the local stores had staff as friendly and helpful as this CVS. read more

Absolute worst pharmacy I've used in my life. Hit or miss on whether prescriptions will actually be ready whey promised. Sometimes they say they never got the request, when I know I get the notice from my Dr. that he's sent them over to that address. I usually get there and end up waiting for them to fill when they were supposed to be ready a day or more prior. It takes a special trip to go there to get the medicines. They always tell me to come back later, which is not an option once I've driven over there. Called today to speak to a pharmacy tech about not getting medicine the Dr. sends over. I asked her if I could use another pharmacy, she said "fine..." and hung up the phone in my face. Just about the worst customer service anywhere! read more

Horrendous customer service now. The Minute Clinic is great, other than the giant, cumbersome login screen. But the pharmacy customer service has become abysmal with reps that lack courtesy and IQ . Nearby Kmart closed so I brought my Rx here. And waited. Checked every two days. Then, after 11 days and inquiring 4 previous times, they said it's still not in. I asked has it even been ordered. "Let me check... uh, no, it hasn't been ordered yet. Do you want me to order it?" Do you think?! So two weeks now, still not in, so I implored the rep to find out when the Rx would arrive. "Oh, they don't have any in stock." When will they have it in stock? "They said the aren't ordering it any longer" So I'm waiting for 2 weeks for an Rx that's never going to arrive? "We don't know if it will be never." But not anytime soon? "Probably not". So, when I keep checking every 2 days whether it's in yet, no one could tell me I was waiting for an Rx that is never coming in? "You can come pick up you Rx and try and find another pharmacy..." If I could give no stars I would. As a CVS health employee (which I did not tell the pharmacy that because that's so tacky), I expected more and to not be discriminated against. John, the pharmacist was not only rude, but went out of his way to make my life more difficult. Stating it was too early to fill my prescription, despite the fact that my insurance company called and told him it was allowed. He also "interpreted " my prescription the way he wanted to, even though I had to point out the instructions on the scrip to him. He then made me wait an absurd amount of time, just to throw his weight around. I'm a clinician and would never make a review like this for something small. John, you should call advice and counsel to get some employee assistance on how to provide care to people you don't want to assist (aka discrimination). Pharmacist Karen refused to transfer my prescription and would not even attempt to run it through the system. Said corporate policy doesn't allow them to transfer controlled prescriptions even though it was already filled by CVS. I went to CVS in Target and boom it was done. Like others I would give this location 0 stars if I could. I have cancer and have at least 7 active scripts with them. They never have popular medications in stock. Example, it's cold season and they are out of cough medicine with codeine. I am traveling and have the worst lung cancer cough ever. I am not contagious but if I heard myself cough I would not want to be on a plane close to me. Even when they know my refill is coming up I have to wait for them to order the meds. Service stinks and employees are not qualified to work there. I plan to take all my scripts to another pharmacy on Monday. Stay away not worth it being open 24 hours. read more

I saw my doctor on February 1st and she changed my insulin dosage, but she hadn't notified the pharmacy. I called in a refill, but was told that it was too soon. Understandable - that's my doctor's fault. However, I notified my doctor, who sent another Rx to the pharmacy a week ago - March 15th. I stopped in at 5:20 am this morning to pick it up and was told by the pharmacist that it was too soon to refill. I told him that my doctor had sent a new Rx. He checked the computer and then told me that my doctor had sent a new Rx, but they hadn't been able to reach my insurance company for an override. I asked why they hadn't been able to do so for an entire week and was told, "we don't have the staff to wait on the phone for an insurance company". Really? Isn't that someone's responsibility at the pharmacy? I had a previous experience where my insulin pens malfunctioned. The plungers on the last three pens that I had would not go down. I was to see my doctor that week to get a new Rx, so I took the pens to CVS and explained that I was now out of insulin and I didn't have a new refill yet. The pharmacist told me that I'd have to contact the manufacturer and work it out with them. Really? I bought the pens at CVS and now it's my problem for a defective product? I called my doctor and had a new Rx sent to Wegmans that was able to fill. I also sent a message to CVS customer service, who did finally resolve the issue. This pharmacy is ridiculous. As previous posters noted, I've also been told that an Rx would be ready after giving several days notice and I've had to wait "another 30 minutes because we're busy". Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Follow up. I wrote the above review as soon as I arrived at my office at 5:45 am. I was supposed to receive a call as soon as they spoke with my insurance company about the Rx override. Naturally, no one called me. Surprise! Surprise! I called CVS at 2:30 to find out what was going on and was told that my Rx wouldn't be ready until "three thirty". Now, I had been told previously by CVS that it was too soon to fill my Rx - that was the issue, so I thought she was talking about March 30th. I told her that I couldn't go eight days without insulin and finally she realized I was talking about a date, not a time. When we were both on the same page about the time, I asked her how the arbitrary 3:30 time came about. Of course she didn't know, but I do! I called at 2:30, they hadn't called me back so she gave her inept staff an hour to fill the Rx. Apparently they had called the insurance company after me bringing it to their attention after a week. Of course, the Rx wasn't ready at 3:30 as promised as were the Rx's of the five people behind me in line. All the guy behind the counter could say was, "we're expediting that order now!". Way to go CVS. You suck. read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST PHARMACY. They gave me the wrong RX. I got home which is only around the corner and called them and they were baffled that they made a mistake like this however I dropped an RX off on MONDAY, and they said it would be ready by 530 Tuesday...no problem. I go today ... FRIDAY and he said it wasn't ready. I cannot stand it. You wait 30 minutes just to have someone wait on you and then get crapped on. I do not have all fracking day to wait on a prescription you said would be ready two days ago. I'm going somewhere else for sure! Idiots. read more

Pharmacy review - it's possible the CVS pharmacy could be worse, but that would require them to make an effort. Service is the worst and it is obvious they don't care. Lost prescriptions, refills not ready, waited on hold this morning forever to be told they had no record of repeated refill request for a medication. This review is for the pharmacy... Our family has been using the CVS in Crofton for years, and their service has become so poor that I believe it's time to go elsewhere. Prescriptions dropped off at 6pm for morning pick-up not filled by 7am.... And worse they then say it will be another hour if you wait. Dropped off a prescription in the afternoon and was assured it would be ready 2 hours later... 3 1/2 hours later it still hadn't even been processed. These are just two of many situations that have become commonplace at the Crofton CVS. I'm unsure of what their procedures are, but regardless of that it is obvious that this pharmacy does not make customer service a priority. read more

It's always a 50/50 chance with this place. I try to only go through the drive through as the inside is always problematic. I like the fact that the automatic system lets u know that your meds is waiting but if u don't pick up it keeps calling you. The drive through is not as fast as I would like, I guess being sick doesn't help. I have to drive around a few times and wait back in line so I don't hold up other people. The people at the window are usually the most friendly.... only has a few sour pusses. read more

The front of the store staff are great. They are friendly, personable and more than eager to help. I'm only giving three stars because the pharmacy staff is another story. These people are rude and, dare I say, ignorant. They act as if assisting the customer is an inconvenience to them. When you try to discuss a situation, it takes multiple efforts to get them to understand. I offer the same clear, concise explanation only to receive a different answer each time. Doesn't matter if it's regarding the status of a prescription, if it even exists (it does), repetition of instructions that I have told them I have already completed. Zero common sense and/or they don't listen. Very frustrating and concerning. If my insurance didn't require I use CVS for all of my prescriptions, I would go elsewhere. read more

They had my script for over a week, were supposed to order my medicine, I went to pick it up, never filled, medication never ordered. This medication is a controlled substance for my child. The doctor took 2 people who were after us before us because she knew them and was friends with them. RUDE. Then the pharmaceutical did the same thing. Why is there a line system if you are not going to follow it. This behavior was rude and I don't approve. The pharmacy here is just awful. Long lines, trash piled up behind the pharmacy counter, overall poor organization. My prescriptions here had been transferred from another pharmacy nearby that closed, and I didn't even bother leaving them with CVS, I went straight to another pharmacy and had them transferred again. One prescription didn't go smoothly for some reason--still not sure if it was on the CVS end or the receiving end. But when I bit the bullet and had it filled at CVS, it took half an hour for one pharmacist to try to locate it, while I stood there wondering what was going on, and then another pharmacist came over to help and found it in about 10 seconds. And then another half-hour to fill it. And then a long line to wait in. The person who dispensed it kept apologizing to everybody in line for the delays, and all I could think was "Oh, no need to apologize. Because I am never coming back here again...." Absolutely ridiculous! I used to use Shoppers pharmacy and they were excellent in every way. Unfortunately they closed the pharmacy down in Shoppers so CVS has been bombarded with customers. I feel for the staff, I know they are overwhelmed and apparently they can't get enough people to work back there to get things filled. On the other hand, I have been spoken to rudely by a number of the pharmacy staff. I know they are as frustrated as the customers but it is still your job to be pleasant. I used to have my doctor call a prescription in for me and would get a phone call from CVS to inform me that my prescription was completed. That no longer happens. You wait and wait and finally you have to call and then they will ask you if you are on your way to pick it up and that is the only way that they will fill it, and even then don't rush over there because it won't be done. As I am writing this I have been sitting in the drive-through for 15 minutes and still have 3 cars ahead of me. And I was told that my prescription is already completed. I believe that the person who does the drive through also answers the phone and of course is too busy to do so. You hear the phone ringing and it announces that there's a phone call and that happens every few seconds. I am calling all of my doctors and asking them to send my prescriptions to either Wegmans or the CVS that is in Target. Never again here. read more

This used to be my neighborhood pharmacy until I moved. They get busy at times, but I was always happy with the service provided. Recently, after visiting 5 different CVS locations in the Columbia MD area and failing to find one that had my medication in stock, I drove out here. I happened to mention that I'd visited 5 CVS locations earlier in the day without success. Well not only did they have my prescription, but they filled it super-fast. It really made my day. I would rate this 0 stars if i could. I have never taken the time to write a review for anything but 2 of the 4 workers this morning were very rude. When I got to the pharmacy it took a couple minutes for someone to acknowledge me because they were having their own personal conversations. Not a big deal. I was asked if i had insurance which was weird because i had came the week before and had a completely different and better experience which is why i got my prescription sent there again. last week i was never asked for insurance, again, not a big deal. I gave my insurance card to Kareena who never once looked at me and she was smacking her gum which was gross and unprofessional. She told me i wasn't covered and i said okay thats fine. I went to the guy, who was the only guy working the pharmacy, because he was friendlier than the girl. I asked him if he could clarify whats going on because I went to urgent care 10 mins before and they said my insurance was fine. He tells me its not active on his screen either and i said i dont mind paying out of pocket and that it was okay just making sure. Well as him and I are talking, Kareena, the girl who originally took my insurance, starts whispering to her pregnant coworker and she looks up at me and starts giggling. the pregnant girl then yells while im speaking to the guy "KAREENA ALREADY TOLD HER THAT." Very unprofessional/uncomfortable atmosphere. I knew when i walked in before i even spoke to anybody what kind of experience i was going to have. get some friendlier and professional staff! read more

This CVS location has nothing but incompetent employees, from the pharmacy staff to the cashiers and managers at the front. During one of my worst occasions I was even charged twice for an item by a cashier named Alleree. I requested a receipt from this same individual and she convinced me to have my receipt emailed instead of printed. I waited 45 mins at the location to see if the receipt would arrive in my inbox because I had a feeling something was off about my total amount. She falsely promised that the receipt would be in my email immediately. The manager on duty was nervous and shacking and could not figure out how to get me a printed receipt, let alone how to troubleshoot the issue. When I requested to return all of the items purchased, I was told that I could only get a store credit. On this date it makes a week of the incidence and a receipt has just reached my inbox and I stand corrected, I was charged twice for one of the items purchased. read more

This is a horrible pharmacy. I came to the drive thur to drop off a prescription. I told the tech that I had a new benefits and provided his my new RX card and my license along with my prescription. He said ok, asked for my phone number and checked for me in the computer. He handed me back my license and insurance card and then asked "do you have any new allergies or CHANGES TO BENEFITS. I told him that I just said I had a change in benefits and gave him my new card... He said oh yeah and said it would be 15 minutes. I left, ran to a few stores and came back about 30 minutes later. A different tech told me that they could not process my prescription because there was a CHANGES TO BENEFITS... I said that I had informed the other tech twice that my benefits had changed. He told me he was sorry, but it would take another 15 minutes for them to verify my insurance.... The second tech was very apologetic and did get it done faster than 15 minutes, but I will never come back to this store again read more

I was incredibly upset with the customer service of this pharmacy. I went to pick up my daughter's prescription and when I pulled up to window they said they did not have any and it would be ready tomorrow. I explained that I don't live in the area and I need it tonight and asked if they could send it to a near by pharmacy and I was told that I have to call around to CVS's to find out if any of them have available what I needed. I asked him 'what kind of customer service is that?' I have to pull off and call around to ask about a medicine... that is something that they should be able to do since they did not 'order it this weekend'. But he said 'no we don't do that here. we are busy.' I took my business elsewhere and rite aid was able to help me with my needs and even contacted a store close to me and sent it there in a timely fashion. I was very pleased by the service. Louisse was helpful and provided more than enough help with my medication. She even offered chocolates as well as other snacks which I, of course, bought (I'm a little on the heavy side). In conclusion, I wouldn't mind being sick again, just to be able to pick up another prescription from this location and enjoy the excellent customer service Louisse and the rest of the team has to offer. read more

One trip in was told percription wasn't there and had to call doctor only to find out it was there the hole time but "didn't think to check the computer" Finally my last time I was, and will be in there I was told that they didn't have enough to fill it and she handed me back my script and said maybe it's in this order but check back another time. Didn't look to see if it had been ordered, then I asked say you don't have enough, what would you do next. I was told to go somewhere else and didn't say anything else. I had to ask if they would order it, then was told it take a while but yea. I said can I leave the script and if you have enough fill it and if not order it. No we don't do that, I said you just said you would if I brought it back what's the difference, other than me making 2 trips. I said forget it I can't believe how bad the customer service is, who tells you go somewhere else. Good advice actually read more
