Titus at the Crofton CVS was the most helpful, kindest employee we've ever had the pleasure to experience!

Too much of the time the staff is rude and unprofessional and there doesn't seem to be any attempt at politeness. The wait for prescriptions can be frustrating and don't get me started on the vaccines. This morning, at 11:36, I spoke with a woman in the pharmacy about a specific medication. I asked when it would be ready. For some reason she made it more complicated by telling me they rejected the refill from my doc and they don't have it. I have one more day of this medication and have been getting conflicting text messages from them about it. She proceeded to tell me that they have different dosage that would be ready tomorrow at 5. I previously told her that currently I take 37.5 and take 2. So she repeats herself with a tone and finishes with, "that is what I'M saying". Ok, so we're on the same page then? I know, math is hard. I feel that the communication is poor there. I either can't understand what they are saying because of speech, or they have trouble understanding a simple request. Walgreens, hire more competent and polite people and pay them better. Maybe that's why most if not all the staff look, act and sound miserable.

I don't know what you lot are on about…read more Ten days ago, my teenager had four wisdom teeth removed. He was in agony. I asked him to rate his pain 1-10 and he said 8-9. I insisted the Oral Surgeon give him a prescription painkiller. (They had already given a script for mouthwash, and penicillin and 800 mg Motrin.) I took the script and ran straight to CVS on 301/Mount Oak Road. They quoted me a three hour fill time for 20 Percocet! Seriously???? I demanded my script back I then checked Safeway, Giant, Target, and they all told me the same. I don't know if this is part of the "heal the opioid crisis," but as I told the pharmacist at CVS "I'm not going to let you cure the epidemic on my son's back....gimme my damn script back." I then remembered ComCare. Never used them before but my son's girlfriend is completing her pharmacy tech rotation and she had told us she works there. I called ComCare, and they had a .....TEN MINUTE FILL TIME! I am NOT KIDDING! Now. When I went in the pharmacist treated me kinda sketchy....I can imagine getting a call "How fast can you give me opioids?" Is a red flag question. However I explained the reason and also that all the other pharmacies quoted me three hours. I told them they needed to go to the Oral Surgeons in the area and have them send their business. Finally I got a smile out of the pharmacist LOL. Also to the person who spoke of "constantly revolving staff," DUH!!! Pharmacy Technician students have to complete internships to get their license. They intern at several pharmacies. That's why the "rotation." Initially I was just going to get the Percocet filled but they were so good, I said screw it and gave them all three. They got some new customers!

I then remembered passing this small drug store/pharmacy in Bowie Town Center. I looked them up online and called them first to make sure they carried the items, and to my surprise, they did! I went over right after work and found everything on the list. The customer service was excellent! While browsing, the pharmacist came from behind the counter just to ask if I needed any help. This store is perfect if you have elderly/disabled persons in your life because they carry very useful items such as: contraptions to put your socks on, put lotion on your back, wheelchair cushions, bed pans....and much, much more. It was a big help to find the medical supplies I needed here, because I didn't have time to order them. If you're ever in need of medical supplies for various illnesses, I would definitely check here before ordering anything. A true lifesaver!

I spoke to the staff pharmacist Brenda Ballantine and she was condescending, unhelpful, and yelled details of my prescription and costs from the back of the pharmacy over 10 feet away. There was another customer and a pharmacist nearby who could hear the whole conversation. This is in violation of HIPAA privacy laws which she must have been aware of. I ended up paying full price for my prescription because it was easier and faster than dealing with her and I didn't want to have this conversation with so many people listening. After I got home I spoke to a friend about the experience and they said that she had done the same thing to them. I can only hope the pharmacy manager reads this and speaks to her about following proper pharmacy procedures and keeping patient information private.

One medication prescribed was not available at my usual pharmacy, Wegman's, where it would take up to a week to receive. That would have ended up in an ER visit or hospital admission, so I called every pharmacy in my area. Since it was getting late in the day, I began to worry I wouldn't be able to get what was needed. Many pharmacists just told me they didn't have the medication until I reached Brenda Ballantine at Giant. She went out of her way to help me locate the medication I needed by making calls herself. She directed me where to go to get it. Later that week, I went to Giant to personally thank Dr. Ballantine for her caring assistance. Rather than speaking to me across the counter, she came around to speak to me face to face. In reading the previous review, I have no doubt Dr. Ballantine is clearly aware of HIPAA privacy laws. I don't pretend to know what happened with Emily K., but my experience couldn't have been better. This pharmacist is very courteous, professional, and hard working. I have switched to Giant Pharmacy because of Brenda Ballantine's care and concern for her customers.

What a stupid mistake, especially since this plaza was a bit wonky. Even though it was busy in here, I was still able to find what I needed and not feel rushed about it. However, when it came to checking out, there was a larger than expected line.
