This CVS is a good location, had everything I needed. The staff at the front greeted customers as they entered, and they were patient and friendly when checking out. There were some sales in the front of the store too. Parking was easy, with lots of empty spaces. The neighborhood is likely not the safest at night, so just be careful when walking to and from your car. read more

Stopped here while I was driving through the area specifically to see if they had Hint flavored sparkling water since a friend recommend I hit up a CVS to find them. They did have myriad Hint flavors, none sparkling though. They also had other brands of flavored sparkling water, so I'm trying that instead. When I first walked in I saw a staff member at the entrance who greeted me, but by the time I checked out they were nowhere to be found. They do have two self checkout stations so I used one of those. Not sure if they have people checking you out anymore at all? Overall, not a bad location and my experience was okay. read more

This store may as well not exist. The rare times I visit, there always seems to be an issue with clerks...if you can find one. Everything is locked up. Posted price signs aren't honored. The customer ahead of me paid cash because he needed to break a $20 bill. The clerk directed him to the automated check out saying they aren't "allowed" to give cash back. I figured I'd get the same level of bad service and I was right. I was told to return Thursday when there is a manager on duty to honor the sign and ExtraBucks offer posted. On my previous visit I was basically told sale prices don't exist on Saturday when he told me from 12am Saturday till Sunday the price changes. I left my products and went to the CVS a mile away where the same transaction went smooth and even had a friendly clerk. read more

The posted pharmacy hours are 8 am. to 10:00 p.m. I went at 1:10 p.m. The pharmacy was locked up tight. No mention of why. I asked the one employee I could find, and he nonchalantly told me that they are on lunch break for an hour. What a waste of my time. Four stars because...I transferred my meds to this location because it was so close by, without realizing that VCS doesn't honer BCBS insurance...not the employees fault. When the pharmacist (super nice female) realized that, she spent five minutes trying to find a coupon for me, online without being asked. This CVS is kind of in a 'hood area, but I've never had any problems shopping here. They're not as big or as stocked up as the CVS I usually go to on Mockingbird, but since they are closer to home I'm here a lot. Over the last several months I've noticed friendlier employees. Seems every time I come in there is someone asking me if I need help, and they seem genuinely happy to help you. You just don't find that a lot anymore, and it's very refreshing. Went into CVS like 3 days ago and the store manager Brooke is rude it's disgusting. I came in and didn't get greeted. As I was checking out she was standing right behind me watching me and as i was about to leave she told me to have a good day but her tone was not friendly at all. They were about to close so it seemed like she was just trying to rush me out. She was also giving her employee an attitude and demanding . Wonder how she treats them. The employee was helpful tho he helped me find what I needed and was very polite. This store needs a better leader since the store manager can't even give proper customer service. This is a terrible pharmacy. I went to pick up my prescription and the pharmacist was extremely rude!!!! I had my script filled 2 days prior to it expiration date with no problem but when I went to pick it up. He stated that it was not allowed to sit for for days now it is expired! I have never in my life heard of this. He was being extremely rude. I was very upset and yes was rude back. He called me to tell me I was banned from the pharmacy. This is one of the fancier, 24 hour CVS's in Dallas. Their selection of advertised items is usually great, the carts are easy to obtain and roll through the spacious aisles, and the deals you can get as a cvs member are borderline insane. It seems every time I buy something I get another coupon for half off this, or $10 free that. They frequently have buy one get one free on their vitamins, and when advertised, their soda is the cheapest in the metroplex. This week it's $2.50 for a 12 pack of diet coke. $2.50! That's how much it used to cost in 1998!! The parking lot is ample, and connects to the neighboring 7-11 in case you miss the turn. The only qualm I have with this location in particular is that the cashier double charged me for a few things on my last visit, so be sure to check your receipt so you don't accidentally overpay. read more

Love this place. It's hard not to come in and do mindless shopping, especially in the health and beauty departments! This is where I get all of my prescriptions filled and I am very pleased. The pharmacy staff make sure to explain your prescriptions to you in depth (side effects, proper dose consumption, etc) they always encourage me to come back if I am experiencing side effects that can be controlled with OTC meds and will consult with you when you may need to contact the physician for adjustments. read more

I was not a huge fan of this location. I got a medication that was generic, which I prefer, but it was a completely different version of the generic than I had ever had. No one explained anything to me, and I know they were supposed to talk to me about it, because my package said "new patient" and "consult." No one spoke to me about anything, they just gave me the prescription and sent me on my way without even asking if I had any questions. Since I assumed it was the regular medication, I didn't have any questions. It would have been nice to have been asked. On the positive side, it didn't take forever, which is always a plus in pharmacies and drug stores. That isn't always the case! Plus, it's 24 hour, so that is a huge bonus. Overall, not the worst I've seen, but when I'm dealing with medication, I'd like to have someone who is on top of his or her game. read more

I was actually kinda of pissed when I left here at first. I understand this is a low rent neighborhood, but when your pharmacy clerks interrupt you while you're asking a question, you're gonna get mad. So, backing up I go to fill a generic prescription...a really cheap one as I'm told, and I asked the clerk how much it would be....before I finish this sentence she jumps in "We don't have $4 prescriptions here. This qualifies for it, but we don't have $4 scripts here." I'm looking at her with the most ominous "Fuck you" look I have and say "Did I say $4 script? Did those words come out of my mouth before you jumped up and interrupted me? I asked how much, so I could have the money when I come back. They are nice, but the rest of them are really depressed looking and acting which translates to them moving very slowly and never really caring if the front counters are manned. Walgreens Here I Come! Look if you have anyone in your family that's disabled or you plan on getting old in the future, I would recommend supporting a business that actually will assist you. So it's 9:30pm and CVS closes at 10pm. I'm on my cane walking slower than molasses and in obvious pain. Stephanie the counter assistant is vacuuming the store and continues her chore as I stand at the counter. She finally decides to kill the engine on the Vac and as she gets near I asks if they carry a CVS brand med that I'm trying to find. She obviously saw me take an hour to make it from the door to the counter but nevertheless she says yes it's on aisle 8 wayyyy in the back by the pharmacy and then turns back to her vacuum and starts it right up. Soo I hobble alllllll the way to the back, find the med then hobble allllll the way back to the counter, passing her along the way. I reach the counter only to be placed on hold while she finishes up her duty then approaches the counter. Once around the counter she asks me what happened? Lol. Really? You want to know my reason for being the slowest human on the planet right now? How about why didn't you assist a disabled person in grabbing the 1 single item you knew they were looking for? Maybe that was too much for her. Or maybe that close to closing time we shouldn't expect much from CVS and their staff to assist and support the customer in need. Every time I've gone into Walgreeens someone has assisted me but unfortunately they don't carry the CVS brand med that I use regularly. But thanks to the NOT wonderful service from CVS, I will definitely find an ideal substitute somewhere else. At least this way I will be one less customer they have to worry about getting in their way while they do store chores and what have you. read more

Worst Experience with the Store Manager. She was Extremely Un-Professional. I entered store, asked for visine, worker pointed to back wall and was dismissive about it. Walked to back wall, No visine. Walked around looking for it, finally found it in aisle 6 (I had 10 stitches on one Leg, mind you) Imagine walking around looking for ONE item with 10 stitches. Got to register to pay for it. Asked for manager, guess who manager is? The worker that pointed me to back wall! Told her she sent me on a goose chase. She Calls me a LIAR! Today, pull up to pick up my antibiotics that my Dr Sent in around 3:30pm, and there's a sign on the window that says sorry system is down. So I call, yep system is down and don't know when it will be back up. Sorry we don't have any info for you. Called back later on to tell me the system is back up but sorry we don't have any prescriptions for you. Call your Dr tomorrow. Ok great, now I get to go 24 hrs without my antibiotics. There's always something wrong with the drive thru, the staff is incredibly rude most of the time and they usually have their information all screwed up as well. Almost every time I pick up a monthly prescription, they tell me sorry that's not covered by insurance, it's $400. I have to remind them for almost a year now to check my account that I have it free for a year. We will be switching our prescriptions very soon. Tired of dealing with this location. WORST PHARMACY CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN. I dropped off a prescription and over a week and a half later they call me to tell me that my prescription is ready. When I get there they filled my prescription with Brand instead of Generic which is a $25 difference and something that I've never done before. When I told them to change it they later call me and tell me that they can no longer fill my prescription because it's expired. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER'S NEEDS, nor do they care about fixing a mistake that is clearly their fault. I would recommend highly going somewhere else if you have an important prescription to get filled. If Cynthia or Christina are working they are guaranteed to screw up your prescription.
