This CVS isn't the bext but it's good enough. One thing that bothers me is that as far as I know, there is only one price check so it's quite a walk to get the price of the items you want. The selections are not bad, a little limited but still a good amount of variety. The number of cashiers can be a little frustrating. This review is only regarding the visit for today. I have a pet peeve. It truly bothers me when I respectfully place money in your hands and I have my hands out and you place my change, coupons, receipts etc. Onto the counter. It happened again to me today with Amber. I politely placed the funds into her hand & had my hand extended for the change and she placed my change on the counter. She did this to me with three separate transactions. I have recently moved to the area and due to some serious health problems I have been prescribed some strong controlled medications. Unfortunately, at the local Target pharmacies, I have been treated poorly, likely because of stigma attached to my medications. Anyway, I went to CVS feeling dread about possibly receiving the same treatment and I was pleasantly surprised! The head pharmacist and the rest of the staff were so kind, knowledgeable and helpful! They also took the time to check their inventory of all of my prescribed medications even though they were filled with customers at the time. I have now switched to them as my primary pharmacy. Always have a terrible experience with medication. My medication is never processed until I actually stop in. If I call ahead and request it by a certain time, it's not ready. If I request by a certain day it's ready. The answer is always, "we're just finishing it up now". Twice I have been told that only to wait for 10 minutes and be told they did not have the medication in stock. I'm tired of wasting my time and energy at your stores. Please note, this feedback is not for any particular store. This has been my experience at 3 different stores. Sadly it's not 3rd time's a charm, it's 3 strikes you're out. Came to the CVS to get a Coke in a bottle. After that I have to wait in line for awhile to pay for my drink. There was only one line open. Not good. There was a CVS employee stand at the end of the checkout line. They should have opened another register instead of just standing there. There were only two employees at the CVS. Only two that I could see. This location needs more employees and more registers open. I give this location three stars because I had to wait in line for awhile. They need to do better. read more

It just occurred to me that there wasn't a handicap accessible entrance to this place.. how strange and not good in this day in age. Overall this place doesn't feel bright and welcoming. It's kinda dark and old feeling. The guy at the front was friendly and said hi to every customer that came through the door. The store is pretty well stocked. But, anyways, I went there yesterday for an eye glass kit. I asked for some help from an employee and he just told me to go to aisle 19. I was looking for a good 6 minutes and couldn't find it. When asked an employee to call another store and check on my item, she went hiding behind a counter and never said a word to me for 15 min. I came in here for an electric toothbrush that I had seen advertised for $30. It took nearly 10 minutes of presssing call buttons and waving at the cashier to get someone to unlock the case for me. When the toothbrush was taken to the counter, it rang up as $50 instead of $30. I complained and pointed to the tag in the cabinet that had the name of the item and $29.99. The manager said it was wrong, even though the name of the item was the same. Offered it to me for $45 instead of the advertised $30. Shady. I wont be back. read more

Hate this place! The assistant manager there is a big Ass B*tch! Took my grandma there to buy some stuff and because she saw that I also have a card, she automatic assume we are from the same household. I don't shop much at CVS, that's y I only have 1 card and my gma also only have 1 card. AFTER showing her our id with both different address.Grandma live in senior home. She still took away my grandmother card saying" one per household only" and then she say" this is why we don't stock too much because of ppl like u." Even the ppl behind us was telling her to give my gma back her card. After I got home, I called corporate and explain everything to them. They apologize and say they will a sent her back a new one. A location in the bay area that carries my shade in multiple make-up lines? Yay! The retail staff is always nice. I'm in there often and the store manager always says hello. They are normally fully stocked with the standard CVS items and I've never had an issue getting a raincheck if needed. The pharmacy is proficient with one exception, billing. On multiple occasions I've used discount cards from drug manufacturers when trying out new medications. Their billing system rarely retains the info, no matter how many times it is manually entered. Now I call before heading to the store so they can fix the billing before I arrive so I don't have to wait 45 minutes or make multiple trips whenever I need refills. 5 star store and a 3 star pharmacy. read more

CVS is a great store if you're into couponing. Overall, this location is convenient however the staff needs improvement. The other day, I came to use my B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 deal-so I get my items for free. The cashier rang up my items and noticed that she "pretended" to scan my coupon! I then left and closely inspected my receipt in the car. As I has suspected, she did not apply my coupon. I returned to her and let her know that my coupon was not entered and her reply was "You cannot use this coupon". Well, she should have told me that before I checked out. Which by the way she still had my coupon next to her register rather than filed away in the register. My suspicions is that she wanted to use it for herself. Anyway, the staff at this location does not know their coupon policy or they make up rules to keep customers from utilizing coupons. I work hard for my money and try to make my $ go a long way. I find it absurd that they work this way, its not like their losing $ out of their own pocket. I've had alot of bad experiences with couponing at this store. You may say, well, why do you go back? Called on a busy day and a gentleman placed me on hold which is understandable. First time they put me on hold, the call was disconnected. Called again! was placed on hold and again was disconnected! I know it wasn't my phone because I heard the " elevator music" both times before the dead space of being disconnected. Called 3rd time and when the same gentleman answered and asked me if I can hold, I told him " wait please don't because I have been disconnected twice and one of them was you!" He said that he is so busy that he has to place me on hold again. His tone was abrupt and short! Being busy is no excuse for being rude. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. Staff is slow and rude. My last and final visit, I waited for the assistant to finish up work on two other prescriptions while I stood in front of her, then she took a phone call, then she took my script, typed it all in, did some more unrelated work, then, finally, she announced that it would be 2:30 hours before my medicine was ready, and could I come back. I was so disgusted that I called back and asked to speak to the gentleman that hung up on me and he refused to speak to me and I had to speak to another employee to get the real reason on the status of my Rx. I usually go to the San Mateo CVS but stopped at this one while in the area. Boy was that a BIG mistake. I had sent a coupon to my cvs card and for some reason it wasn't showing in their computer. I took a pic on my phone of it showing it was sent to my card. When I told Lorraine, the cashier, she was so RUDE. She said, "No, I don't want to see your phone, don't show me the picture, it's locked out of the computer" (With a snooty tone) I asked to speak with the manager, who then was able to over-ride and give the coupon discount that was in my cvs account. I won't shop here again. Lorraine never asked if I would like to speak to the manager to help with the situation. She needs to be retrained in the customer service category. I have been a loyal CVS customer since the days when it was longs. I have never had a problem with them until I moved cities and had to transfer to the DC CVS. This pharmacy never has my prescriptions ready on time. They autofill medications without asking, which is not really a big deal except they have an automated reminder system that calls you constantly for a medicine that you do not need, again not a big deal, just an annoyance. The reason I am switching is because not once but twice this pharmacy has given me the wrong medication and would not refund me since I did not notice until I got all the way home. read more

(Pretend to be a doctor, even my physician won't talk to me like that,wtf). Basically I will give 1 star because of that S*****d. But when I picked up Rx, the female pharmacist smiled to me (she know what happened and showed positive attitude) and explained to me about new Rx. Because of her I added up 3 more stars. I like to shop CVS pharmacy. But the store in the daly city ( GELLERT BLVD), the customer service is very very bad. The cashier lady , RITA, has very bad manner. When I used my extra bucks (birthday extra bucks) , this one sent to my email, so I showed the extra bucks with my phone. She said that she cannot scan the extra bucks because she needs to keep the printed coupon. The extra bucks has barcode and she can easily scan it. But she didn't. We went to get a prescription filled on July 2nd after going to an urgent care center. We went to one register and then were asked to go to another register. After waiting a reasonable time the lady helped us but directed us to wait and check out at another register. After a wait in the chairs I noticed a line forming. I could not get the lady's attention as she was not working another register in the drive up, so I waited in line. I waved at her and asked if I needed to wait in line and she replied no. I made a comment that I wished she had told us that earlier. So I sat down. A few minutes later a lady announced our prescription was ready and we were directed to another register. Then the another lady who appeared to be a manager or pharmacist angrily ordered me to stand in line, knowing full well I had been told to get out of the same line not 40 seconds earlier. I responded that I was not going to wait in line and the other customers who witnessed this whole process (I am an nearly 70 year old white guy suffering from a stomach problem along with my wife) insisted they wait on me first. All of the staff were Asian, and I am convinced my civil rights were being violated by a prejudiced lady manager who for some reason doesn't like old white people. read more
