Lately, I've been ordering to be picked up at the store for free instead of shipping which cost $7. I also noticed lately that the packaged box you receive via UPS contains sticky soap residue and I always have to wash it off. Sometimes the scent you want isn't available at the store especially during the semi annual sale (July & January). I always seem to forget that this Bath & Body Works location is here, but I'm so glad I stopped in today. I originally went in looking for one specific gift, and--like always--I ended up walking out with far more than I planned. Even though I couldn't find the original item on the shelves, the employees immediately offered to help. They went to the back to look for it and were able to track it down for me. What really stood out to me was how genuinely caring and attentive the staff were. They stayed with me throughout the shopping process, helping me pick out the right items, suggesting better options, and even showing me which products were on sale so I could get the best value. I've placed pickup orders several times at this B&BW location and every time I've always had a great experience. All the staff are always kind and double check that all your items are accounted for. The only thing is with pickup orders, your items can still go out of stock after you place the order but before you actually pick up the order (you have 5 days to pick up the order). I wish in the future that after I place an order, I can actually "reserve" all the items I chose! read more

Management here needs to learn policies. Stopped in to make a return on an item I purchased two days prior full price but now on sale, but unfortunately lost the receipt. My bad. But I do use their Rewards program, my phone number, and have the credit card used to make the purchase. The manager (on the evening of 3/26/24) flat out denies my request to return the product worth 3 dollars. She is fake and turns on a certain persona to sell items, but is ignorant to or simply refuses to follow corporate policy on returns. After speaking with corporate, she could have ABSOLUTELY looked up my purchase using my account or my credit card. Now I am returning every single item still valid within its policy because I am done with BBW. I spend thousands at this store-- and the manager is even the associate who rang up my purchase 2 days prior! Honor loyalty. Taking my money elsewhere. read more

Well stocked, organized, and great customer service. Bath and Body Works is one of my all time favorite stores. Ever since I was little, I've always loved to smell like fruits and lattes. Not only am I fruity, and love lattes, I also smell like them. This is my favorite B&BW location. The store is well stocked and organize with different mist, lotions, and shower gels. You can also find great selections of different scents of plug in fragrances for your bathroom. My favorite to get here are the mini hand sanitizers for your bag. They're always on sale for 5 for $6 and I always stock up! Not only are they convenient for your job or school, but they are also amazing stocking stuffers for the Holidays. The prices are also very afforadable. Most of their stuff range from about $8-$20 depending on the size and if the products are brand new. Not only that, but if you it for cheaper, they also have great deals if you want to buy 2 or more. So keep an eye on those deals or ask an employee! The employees here are also very knowledgeable and friendly. Every time I've come here, an employee has always approached me to ask if I'm doing ok or if I had any questions. I'm always greeted with a smile and check out has always been a breeze! Whenever I visit this location, I am always greeted with such great service and smiley employees! First off, COVID-19 protocols are on point. A representative is outside to hand you a disposable paper bag free of charge to allow you to shop. There are also an array of hand sanitizers that you can test out before you go in- GREAT marketing strategy. I was greeted by a sweet employee who recommended the Island Margarita foam soap and told me the different sales that were going on. She even offered to grab me a bag when I had a couple items in my hands. On my last pit stop at the cash wrap, the representative was so sweet and we chatted for a little bit. I appreciated her warm gesture and it made the experience that much more enjoyable. Although this location is smaller than others, this location is very clean and tidy. I walked in and was almost immediately greeted (per usual at any Bath and Body Works). That's all great. I tell the lady that I am there to redeem my free full-size reward. She starts telling me what is applicable, and says it applies to items up to $15.50. Then I get a confused look on my face (because my reward says up to $16.50) and then she suddenly says something along the lines of oh, well some rewards are up to $16.50, you can look at your coupon. This was a little annoying, but not the end of the world. She then asks if I by any chance have a mask on me. I say no (I don't, the mask mandate just ended today, and I am fully vaccinated) and ask if it is required. She goes into a speel that I cannot fully hear, but says something about well they haven't taken the signs down yet and something something. I do not want to deal with it, so I ask if she has a mask and she gives me one. She then tells me more about the options for my coupon, but then suddenly is like, "Oh wait, is it on your app?" Why yes, yes it is. And apparently at this location they can't accept apps for some reason, that again, was not clear. I ask if this is always the case or if there is an issue today. According to her, it is always the case. She tells me I can order online and pick up there, but really? I am standing there now. So, in summary: wrong information was provided to me, you basically can't shop if you don't have a mask on, and do not go if you are looking to use your app. read more

ANNOYING! I go into the store to try and return items I purchased online . The worker with red curly hair tells me I have to return the items by mail because she can't accept my invoice as a receipt and they don't carry those products in store and if she did return it she would have to return my merchandise at the lowest value and that she would give me merchandise credit for it. I love how the store is empty but the customer service is horrible. I leave the store and call the 1-800 number on my invoice and the rep over the phone tells me that the store employee was wrong and that she should've taken my return back no problem. read more

I have now become a candle hoarder and have been looking for a lemon scent to add to my vastly growing collection. After checking out the B&BW in Serramonte and failing, I came here to this location to look for the candle. The sales associate and I couldn't find it so I just walked around to look at other stuff instead. After several minutes had passed, I decided to walk back to the candles to get what I wanted and the same sales girl told me she had found a small lemon candle. I was so happy but too bad it wasn't in the biggest size. She came back to let me know there were boxes that had been left unopened and she got me a 3-wick candle...in that same lemon scent! This BBW location is the best in the area. Lisa and Alyssa are super helpful. Even though I'm sad the Stonestown location closed, I'm not shocked. Their customer service was lacking. However, Stonestown had a large storefront and plenty of space dedicated to 3-wick candles. This location does not carry a large variety nor quantity of 3-wick candles. :( I came here looking for three specific scented candles. They didn't have any of the three candles I wanted. This location has a very small section dedicated to candles. Granted, it's a small storefront but their men's section is comparable to their candle section. They should carry more 3-wick candles. And a better variety of scents as well. This is the only reason why I can't give this store 5 stars. Otherwise, best customer service of any BBW store I've been to. I'm a fan of BBW in general. The Colma store is pretty compact, so the selection available to you is minimum. The sales associates are knowledgeable about their products and are more than willing to help you out... depending on who you approach or vice versa. I like how after I asked a question the girl didn't immediately turn her back to me and run away. Her answer was follow up with a, " Was there anything else I could help you with?" AND a SMILE! Came in last night to stock up on car air freshners and their wallflower. Sad to see that they were not carrying my usual scent : Pineapple because they've filled the store with holiday scents. The girls that worked there were extrememly nice and friendly. They were very helpful to help pick out a scent that was similiar to the one I was looking for. Parking is very easy. I got 3 lipgloss (buy 2 get 1 free) ...they are originally $7.50 ea. And 3 car scents + 3 wallflowers. Got everything I came here for and nothing extra. AWESOME! read more

Decided to stop by since I was in the neighborhood. I knew it was going to be crazy with the after Christmas sale going on. I went late in the afternoon so I wasn't expecting to get anything good. I walked in and saw a few choices left in the 75% off bin and I saw a girl re-filling the bins. I grabbed 2 hand pump soaps for $1.25 each in scents that aren't repulsive. I'm particular about what I use in the household since people are sensitive to pungent scents. I'm glad that BBW offers lighter scents for use by anyone. This is a smaller store and I'll probably visit other stores in the area for more good deals on products. The wait at the register was short. I stood there for a few minutes and the girl behind the register called another girl over to help "ring" people up. This is the only location I tend to shop at because the service is good, they tend to respect the customer's need to look around, and they are genuinely nice. I step in there today because I wanted to look at their 3 new fragrances--2 which smell like stronger versions of Cucumber Melon& Cotton Blossom and one which is a retread of Water Fragrances made in 2001---and they were on me immediately. My foot was barely in the door and I simply wanted to look at the displays, and they yell from the register hello. I say hello back and immediately the tactic began--what are you looking for,etc. I thanked them and said I was looking--but they persued--so I ignored them. They seemed to get the clue. I was looking at the display and another customer came in. This time they approached the customer and asked what brought them in. The customer said they were just looking and then they said--"for yourself"? The customer said "i am just looking" again and then they said for a "gift for someone else? " Geez leave people alone and let them see things for themselves. I was looking at a table of giftsets and the associate started to hover over me--I looked at her and asked if the giftsets were for fall? She looked at me like I was from Mars, acted bothered and said "I guess so" --geez that's informative. Its like they hound you when you do not need the help and when you ask a simple question--they look bothered and insulted. The sad thing is is that this an associate who has been pleasant in the past--so i do not know if she is having an off day or if she is understress to have to meet inflated sales goals. The store is organized, friendly vibes, very clean, and I love how they are there to help you during your shopping experience. I ended up buying the 2 for $22 candle deal which isn't bad at all, and their aromatherapy body lotion which is only $6 right now! I love the Stress Relief scent. SCORE for being half off right now. It's rare they ever have their aromatherapy collection on sale like that too. Since then, I have to say, this store is a lot better than the one located inside Serramonte Mall, hands down. read more

B&BW is one of those places that I find myself liking even though my nagging conscience tells me not to. We'll just put it on the guilty pleasures list and accept that I like my person and my house to smell like a vanilla cookie factory. This location gets points for their hard sell tactics. Last time I was there, they were pushing home fragrance products like you wouldn't believe. I actually had a cold and just wanted to get what I wanted and get out of there. I explained that my manfriend and I don't really see eye to eye on the fact that I think his house (as well as mine) should smell like a cookie factory. Then, the sales dude told me, "You know, if he really loved you, he would want you to get those candles." Awesome, now I know what my favorite line of defense is! I think this is my favorite B&B store within the 8 mile radius of my place. They usually have everything in stock, the associates are friendly and I can usually get what I need and out in 10 minutes or less. I bought a bunch of Wallflower plug in scented bulbs. I asked the associate if there was a warranty on the plug ins because I had 4 that all died on me. He explained that I could bring the old ones in and exchange them for the newer ones. The old ones were having issues with burning out and getting too hot. He said I should select the ones with the plastic wrap around the prongs. Great, I thought my problem was solved and all I needed to do was bring in the old ones and swap them for new ones. I thought everything would be seamless until the next day when I went to the store at Tanforan. Read next review, not so stellar. Customer service makes all the difference. I felt attacked by a well meaning boy who just kept ignoring me saying I didn't need help ("benevolent sexism" or just cluelessness???), and then I got a really passive-aggressive female ringing me up making it quite obvious that she would be happy not to see me back there again anytime soon. Apparently my mild complaint about the quality of their bags--which are painful to carry with heavy products in them--was Just Too Much for her.
