A problematic pharmacy and/or loose-goosey pharmacist------ My doctor wrote RX for a specific medicine..typically, I get it from Express Scripts but in meantime I was to pick up a 2 week supply (which is only 3 tablets). ---It took CVS days to get the medication then they notified me they had it, but ------------ what was given me wasn't what my doctor prescribed ! Back home, ignorant to the switch, I was about to take a dose, BUT soon as I looked inside that bottle---- I knew something was wrong (the shape, even the color were off). I wondered if my prescription had been mixed up with another person's ---- Ultimately, I learned that it was a 'substitute' for what my doctor prescribed-- The decision to give me a substitute was made by CVS, not by my doctor.....BUT I'm anaphylactic to additives found in prescriptions, food, drink...Prepared food/drink and prescriptions must be vetted. I returned to CVS, spoke with pharmacist & told her that I never want RX switched as she had done. She said she'd put it on my CVS file. INSTEAD she tried to get my doctor to ok substitutes. My doctor told pharmacist to talk with me plus doctor informed me what the pharmacist was trying to do. -- It's a long story--not yet ended--but as noted: there's a safety concern with this CVS pharmacy managing prescriptions and/or with the specific pharmacist now employed at 1550 E. The Supervisor, Daniel at the front desk is very rude. He talks rudely if you ask any information from him. He never makes eye contact and keep looking at the computer screen. I would avoid checking out with him at all costs. He has a bad attitude and not fit for management position. I had interaction with another rude person Michael in internal operation . He comes to check out when staff needs and argues with you if you tell him about coupon redemption or mispricing on items. This review is based on my experience this week since I have an upcoming surgery that I had to deal with the pharmacy quite a bit. The pharmacist who talked to me about my medication was inconsiderate. He did not make any eye contact as he was explaining. As he was explaining, he mumbled and talked fast. I would have appreciated more if he was talking to me instead of reciting and to speak clearly and slowly to make sure I understood what he was saying. read more

Manager Nicole is awesome! We shop here regularly and it's been consistently clean and well maintained for health precautions. Signs are clear for required social distance/face masks and they've always had hand sanitizers at the front entrance. Almost always, the shelves are fully stocked with items according to ad prices. Only one time they ran out of something before the sale ended...early birds get the worms :) We absolutely love the coupons and ExtraBucks rewards for being a loyal customer. Yesterday they had an amazing $5 reward for spending $20 on any pet items. Since we always get treats and toys for Jojo, that was an easy promotion to get us to shop! #ThankYou to Manager Nicole for always being so kind and helpful. Staff were friendly and courteous. Wait time was reasonable and pharmacy staff were very helpful with new prescriptions.

I'd like to support our local businesses but it is frustrating that the pharmacy hours are not more clearly posted. Online it says you are open until 9 but then the pharmacy is closed at odd hours for lunch. No wasted trips with mail order pharmacies. Don't need staff to unlock a case for sundries either. Convenient for vaccines, but am otherwise wondering why I should continue to support this business? read more

If you're Covid cautious I would avoid going into this CVS during pharmacy hours. I went to pick up some multi vitamins but the pharmacy queue was down the vitamin aisle. Some of the people looked visibly unwell. I really think this business needs to find a safe way to enable people to queue elsewhere so shoppers can shop safely. I ended up leaving empty handed as I just couldn't stay in that aisle trying to read what was in different supplements and comparing prices. It felt really unsafe as there's no way to distance yourself. We've all seen the stories of people going to pharmacies and other businesses with a Covid positive diagnosis, so this queuing situation really needs to be addressed. I tried going to other aisles for some hair products I needed and coming back in the hopes of an empty aisle but there was still people there. Aside from that, I frequently call in here to get stuff, it is always a clean store with friendly staff, it generally has anything you could need. If you can get your prescription filled elsewhere, do so. What a nightmare of incompetence on the part of the person at the pharmacy desk. There was no one in line to drop off prescriptions when he arrived so my husband was able to go directly to the desk to speak to the cashier. First the cashier couldn't find my husband in the system, despite previously having prescriptions filled there AND having received a phone call from them the prior week that one of his prescriptions was eligible for refill. Once the person finally typed in my husband's name correctly, he did find the prescriptions the doctor had sent in. He then claimed that one of the prescriptions would cost a few hundred dollars to fill. When my husband said he had drug coverage through his medical insurance, after pecking around more on the computer, the cashier found that it would only cost $10. He claimed the second prescription was not available, but the doctor had told my husband that might be the case. Once that all was completed and the prescription sent back to be filled by the pharmacists my husband turned around to leave and saw that 15 people had lined up in the meantime. My husband returned an hour and a half later to pick up the prescription. There was a long line with the same guy at the counter. When it was finally my husband's turn, the cashier couldn't find him in the system again. Then said they did have the second prescription but that would be several hundred dollars. So, again he lost the medical coverage information. My husband said he'd just like the one that had been filled. The guy went to the back, took awhile, and then came back to say he couldn't find it. My husband told him to cancel the order, he'd get it filled elsewhere. To top it off, we received a voice message today from CVS that one of the prescriptions was ready to be picked up. If that messes up his ability to have it filled by our mail order pharmacy, he will be justifiably incensed. read more

I have been a customer of this pharmacy for over 25 years, since it was a Longs Drugs store. After CVS acquired Longs, prices have gone through the roof while service went through the floor. Today, they messed up the copay on my insurance and tried to make me pay outrageous copays, even though my copays have been the same for years. It took them over 45 minutes to fix their mistake. The pharmacist here is amazing. My 96 year old grandpappy is getting older and came in with a bunion on his big toe. He didn't understand why the pharmacy couldn't remove it on the spot but the pharmacist very patiently explained to him that bunion removal wasn't something that particular CVS offered. The pharmacist pointed grandpappy towards an over the counter topical cream and recommended he keep taking Metamucil to keep him regular in his old age. Reading other reviews was very validating for my experience. I have been to this location twice, once to pick up a prescription and once to receive a flu shot, and I won't be back. The pharmacist is callous and rude, and has little concern with patients' privacy when discussing medications very loudly. I feel like a basic part of patient care is maintaining as much privacy as possible when discussing medications in a public place like a pharmacy, and the pharmacist did not make me feel comfortable there. read more

I called CVS to ask if there was a line at the pharmacy. They said there was no one there and it'd be a quick visit. At CVS they sent me to the drop-off window where I waited for a while for someone to help me. After entering all my information, they sent me to the other window to pay. After waiting a while there, they told me it'd take about 10 minutes for them to get my flu shot ready. So I waited some more. When they finally called my name, I had to wait at the counter again to pay. Then after I paid, I had to wait again for the shot. In all, the visit took me 45 minutes. There was no one else there. No other customers ahead of me. I'm not sure why it was so slow and had so many steps. Also, they messed up the dosage on my last medication refill. It made me sick. This review is based entirely on a carpet cleaner rental. CVS offers the Rug Doctor system (steam cleaner) and the cleaning solutions in their stores. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and asked if I needed some help. As soon as "Nicole" wrapped up a sale at the register she took me over to the Rug Doctor supplies are kept. She said one of the units was new and pulled it out to make sure I got it. She took it up to the register and gave me time to figure out which cleaning products I wanted to purchase. Once it was all paid for another employee was standing nearby and Nicole asked if he could help me out (my hands were full!) and I was about to decline when he said oh yes let me get this to your car. The whole process was smooth and customer service was on point. Thanks! When I returned the next day (24 hr rental) an employee who had just clocked in brought me over and found my paperwork. In and out in about 3 minutes. Awesome! The customer service on this occasion is enough for me to return to this location for whatever I might need in the future. Cheers! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I came in 5 days ago in person to have my cats prescriptions on auto fill cancelled and not receive texts after she died. I had her 22 years. Today, after I received her ashes. I received a text message that her prescription would be ready in 3-4 days. I called and said this should not have happened and was told "I would be happy to do that for you." I told her this was unacceptable and bullshit this happened when I made a special trip into the store to make sure it didn't. Incompetent, uncaring, completely disorganized, rude and dismissive. You can buy band aids and aspirine but if you need important prescription medication this store is not able to provide them. Specifically what happened to me is that they did not provide a medication that is life saver. I went before the day the medication was supposed to be released to me to make sure they had it. They did not listen and then it was not available when I need it. They lied, even blame the doctor for not ordering it and gave me a phone number to call to order the medicine my self. Person working front desk of the pharmacy was incredibly rude, she straight up berated an older gentleman because he couldn't follow the touch screen point of sale system, it was hard to watch. Pharmacist reviewed my medication with me but was incredibly loud and provided no privacy, didn't even try to keep it down. I felt like he was more annoyed that he had to explain something to a customer than worried about spreading my healthcare information. This is closer to my place even if I think the other one has better service. I bought a Cerave lotion instead of the cheaper CVS brand because I had a coupon. I had a lot of coupons so the cashier was probably confused as to which one worked (How are they not able to see which ones actually worked, what kind of POS system is this?) I realized my discount didn't apply so I came back the next day. I explained to the cashier that I already opened the tub so I did not bring it. She said "You need to bring the tub to me so we can scan it as a return and then apply the coupon." I said "well I already drove all the way here, you know it's my purchase because I am using my membership card, I also brought the cotton swabs that I bought yesterday, which I have not opened. He told me one of my aunt's prescriptions could not be filled, then other RPh, Nai, got it done with a smile. I choose this pharmacy because it is close to me. I went right after work. I was in the drop off line around 4:30. The girl who helped me at the drop off kept saying how she was behind and she was so busy. When I explained to her I needed them today she said she would call or text. She said they would be ready in about 2 hour. Around 7:00 I had not heard from them. I called to check. They were ready. So she forgot to call. I was already stressed out they added to it. It took a little longer then I would have liked. However at the end I got my prescriptions. The prices for what my DR gave me were a lot cheaper then what I thought they would be.
