Their Gas/Diesel coupons are MIS-LEADING. We went to Bel Air gas station in Woodland today 8/4/26 to get diesel. Used 2 $.50 coupons thinking we would get $.50 off each fill up. Obtained the receipt and no discount was taken. This is FRAUD as far as we can see. Paid over $200 for diesel because coupons were not valid. So why does Raleys show discount on your Groc receipt. And why would the station allow you to put coupon in pump thinking you will get discount? We are through with any Raleys or Bel Air in Woodland. They are using us. Our experience at Bel Air gas station is -100. I hope the rest of you that shop at Raleys realize their taking advantage of us customers. read more

Poor customer service with a touch of discrimination. I was walked pass by 5 employees at the hot food counter. When a young lady did stop she washed her hands and told me wait while she answer the phone. I just walked away to go get something from the Chinese hot area. This is an everytime experience at this store. I only come because I want real food for lunch but I guess I'll start going to Burger King. The store feels drabby and not one smile in the building. I've had a consistently frustrating experience at this location. The customer service is very poor -- employees often seem overworked, ignored by management, or simply not trained properly. The store feels disorganized and stressful, and you can tell the workers aren't supported. On more than one occasion, I've seen staff being treated rudely by managers and customers, with no one stepping in to help. This store doesn't seem to care about either its employees or its customers. It's disappointing to see a company like Raley's allow such a toxic, chaotic environment. I no longer feel comfortable shopping here and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Was waiting in line at the deli counter... There was one gentleman in front of me, inquiring about two full roasted turkeys prepared by the staff. While one of the deli assistance was assisting that man the other deli assistant walked right past me and went and made a sandwich for some guy that had just walked up to the counter. As I stood there, patiently waiting her for her to complete the sandwich, my frustration grew. When she finally finished the sandwich and came over to help me, I aired my frustration with absolutely no response from the deli counter girl. She continued to take care of my order And when finished threw my order onto the counter, never said thank you never said a word to me. Turned her back and walked away. I've never been more insulted, I've shopped at this grocery store for years and I've had it with Raleys. read more

This store Woodland is typical of the Raley's/Nob Hill chain. Clean, well kept, and staffed with friendly folks. I mostly come by for flowers early on Sundays, but I can see the aisles and shelves are orderly, the floors are always clean. Nice! read more

me and my family have been shopping here for years, not just because of how close it is to our house but also how integrated the employees and regulars are there in our community. my mom's favorite cashier is detlef, a generally super personable and clearly hardworking man. we've opted to stand in a longer line just to be rang up by him. nick a. is a crazy fast clerk who has also been there for years. he's never been anything short of streamlined and dedicated to professionalism. we love this raleys!! read more

I host a quilting group where we sew quilts, heart recovery pillows and more for patients fighting cancer. We had the opportunity to work at the event center at the Woodland Raley's store today. What a wonderful experience it was. The young man at the check stand was very interested in what we planned on doing at the center today. Then we met Sam ~ the store manager. What a kind man he is and he provided us with lunch, water and coffee!! So unexpected and appreciated very much. Our team had a nice day working and visiting. We plan to schedule more workshops in the future. Thank you very much for providing a place where we can do our work. read more

I am a regular customer at the Raley's in Woodland, and always get quality items when I shop - except for today. I sometimes treat myself to sushi from the Deli, and it is often good. However, today, it was obvious to me that the sushi I selected from the case was not fresh - at all. In fact, it had all of the signs of being kept over from the 12th, this being the 14th. I purchased the tiger roll: the rice was hard, the seaweed was wilted and tearing, the "crunchy topping" was completely soggy, and even the wasabi and ginger were showing signs of age by breaking-down and turning brown. This really surprised me, and I only fully realized what happened when I came home, as I ate in the store. I always assume quality with Raley's; so, the fact that the prepared food was not fresh and not good, tasteless in fact, brought me up short. I tried to leave feedback on the Raley's website, but there is no space to do so. I tried calling the Deli, but there was no reply - even after ringing 6 times. So, I'm writing here to let Raley's know that they need to be aware of the quality of their sushi - even the "fully cooked" sushi that may be eligible for keeping that "extra" day. I still can't believe I bought something awful from Raley's; I guess everyone has their slip-ups. read more

After my visit today, I now realize Raley's Woodland, does not understand the magnitude of the capabilities of COVID. I cannot only fault the store, but all of those who choose to assume the (NIMBY) concept. Not In My Backyard! This can't happen to me! There were four customers in the first thirty feet, not wearing their masks properly. Then, a woman was fishing around the various doors of the meat cases, not wearing a mask. The first thought for my wife and I was, she's just removed it for a moment. Well, that was not at all the case. The woman rolled her cart next to the two of us and my wife gestured to her, "you forgot your mask!" The woman rudely responded, "I don't wear a mask!" She walked in with out any face covering and not one employee acknowledged her presence. No one ever approached her about the potential risks. Believe me, I fully understand the legal ramifications regarding dealing with customers and clients. In this case, the store chose to ignore a patron, who's regard for this unruly virus is righteous and irresponsible. Comfortably, we left everything in our cart and exited the store. This is one of my top 3 Woodland grocery stores in Woodland. Reason: Their produce is fresh and crispy as hell. The deli is awesome, their bakery is superb and their customer service is phenomenal. Raleys is a decent grocery store. Good selection pretty good prices. Their biggest problem is their rewards program. The whole thing is so bad! Rewards programs at other stores only require that you put in some kind of ID and everything is calculated at the checkout. Raleys is cumbersome and so user unfriendly as to be almost comical. You have to clip endless list of coupons, QR codes that go nowhere, time consuming and ridiculous. and who can put up with that. clerks are occupied constantly with people trying to figure it out. They really need to start over with this. read more

Normally love this store but their milk and juice coolers are full of mold!! I informed the store and all they have appeared to have done is wipe a very small section and it was not a good wipe down either. This is nasty, please clean your coolers! read more

I went to Raley's today to buy some ingredients for cakes that my wife was making for 2 of our grandkid's birthdays. 2 lb Fresh strawberries were on sale for $3.79 so I thought they would be nice looking strawberries, but NOT so. I looked through about a dozen packages and they looked like they've been sitting out for a couple of days. A couple of packages had moldy strawberries. I ended up buying the the 1 lb packages for $1.99 because the berries were definitely nicer looking. This is my second bad experience in a row. Last week, I bought a FROZEN pizza to cook for my grandkids. I took the pizza home and immediately opened the box. The pizza was TOTALLY DEFROSTED!!!! I immediately went back to Raley's and showed customer service my DEFROSTED pizza. They apologized and sent a courtesy clerk to get another pizza. While the courtesy clerk was gone, two checkers were discussing whether someone should check the freezer!!!! THAT'S A NO BRAINER!!!! The courtesy clerk came back with another pizza. I immediately open that pizza in front of the checker that was helping me. That pizza was DEFROSTED TOO. I told the checker that I would get my own pizza. I got another pizza that was definitely FROZEN. The checker proceeded to charge me the price difference between the first pizza and the one I picked!!! If I shopped at Safeway, they would have given me the 2nd pizza for FREE for my inconvenience. NOT SO WITH RALEY'S!!!! read more

I have shopped at Raley's all of my life. My mother took me shopping at the Raley's in Land Park (Sacramento) when I was a child and, as an adult, I continued be a Raley's customer at the Land Park store for several decades. When I moved to Woodland some years ago I naturally began shopping at Raley's - after all, I was loyal to them. Sadly, at the age of 56, my relationship with Raley's had ended. The prices are high, the deli uses all kinds of additives and garbage in their prepared foods that don't need to be used, the produce is terrible, the bakery employees who work at the Peet's concession do not know how to make espresso drinks. Do I have anything else to say about Raley's here in Woodland? I sure do! Far too many employees at Raley's are awful. Rude, snappish, not helpful in the least. They seem terribly unhappy with their jobs - and that makes me not feel good about shopping at the store. The darn self-check stands never work properly and the employees are, without exception, always cranky at me when the store computers are not working like they should. I haven't been to Raley's for quite a while because I so dislike shopping there, but decided to stop in today because I had some coupons to use. The woman who "assisted" me when the self-check malfunctioned (as usual) could not have been less helpful. In fact, she was so abrupt and annoyed that we almost had an argument because of her rotten attitude. I should have noted her name, but didn't (she was on shift Thursday, 4/25 at 2:30). Today was your last chance, Raley's. It's Nugget for me from now on, where the prices are no higher than yours are, the merchandise is so much healthier (especially the deli food!), the atmosphere of the store very pleasant, and the employees are incredibly friendly and always helpful. I have been coming to Raleys for years now. Over the years I have seen all the changes from the look of the store to employee's that have came and gone. Ever since Ive been shopping here, I have never had a problem with the store. The store is always clean, and employees are always super frendly and willing to go the extra mile to help you. Shopping here is a breeze. The aisles are extremely wide, they are very well lit and labled perfect. Produce is always fresh, Ive never had a bad apple there yet. The deli items are great, the salads are pretty good and the deli meats are cut fresh when you ask for what you want. The seafood and fresh cut meats always look delicious and if cooked right they taste amazing. The sushi is fresh too. If you are there at the right time, you can stand there and watch the sushi chef make the fresh rolls. Too top it off the bakery is AMAZING. Never had anythng bad from there. My favorite thing is the hot fresh dutch crust bread that comes straight out of the oven. They have a free fruit basket for kids. If you bring your kids inside they can choose some fruit to talk home. Even though I dont have a kid, I usually take a banana or cutie home with me. I adore the employees but the produce really has me baffled. :/ the watermelon is bland, my peaches felt frozen, the corn had caterpillars eating it, some of the bell pepper was frozen and the ones in the front had wilted spots from defrosting, the okra was on its last leg, moldy strawberries, the dill was going bad and flowering, and less exciting but still off, poblano chili peppers were labeled as pasilla. The food is typically more expensive than other stores in town so its a little disappointing to have to search elsewhere or risk throwing a lot of food away after realizing it later at home or having it go bad very quickly. :c read more

This is the closest grocery store to our house and I want to love it, but the service is so slow. I can get all my items in a third of the time I stand in line to check out. I personally find the checkers and baggers quite pleasant once I get there (some family members have disagreed on this point), but it takes so long to get to a checker. One day I needed balloons for a kid bday party and I must've waited at least 15-30 mins for service. The whole time I was looking at checkers and baggers and they were looking back at me. I finally asked what appeared to be a supervisor and got some reluctant help, but it wasn't like the supervisor didn't see me. We were staring at each other the whole time I was waiting, and it wasn't super busy. There seems to be a lot of complaining among checkers, floor supervisors, etc. -- like that's not my job, I'm busy getting change, someone else can deal w ice, and so on. I go way back with this grocery store. I have been coming to this one for about 20 years on and off. At one point in their past, they offered hay rides in the parking lot during the harvest season and even tested digital screen grocery carts to help people find things. The Raley's chain of stores is known to be more expensive than other grocery stores. That's not a bad thing, as the quality of products such as produce and their deli have hard to find premium items. This location also now has a Starbucks, Chase bank and a newer deli that has good breakfast croissant paninis. The breakfast croissant paninis are $3.99 and are offered with a .50 cent orange juice. I decided to try it out. They heat up certain items initially in the microwave and then assemble the sandwich. Then it hits the panini press and that's when the magic happens. I received a very tasty ham, fluffy egg, cheese and croissant panini. The grill marks from the press look great. The egg in my sandwich was fluffy but a small corner was cold. I asked someone next to me who ordered the same thing, if his egg was cold and they mentioned it was hot, so that was a fluke thing. I'm not sure what is going on at this store. I grew up in Woodland and I use to love coming to Raleys for sandwiches, etc... Lately though the staff seems to play favorites with"certain" customers and not others. Yesterday our cashier literally spoke to the people in front of and behind us and couldn't even great us with a hello. I even had to ask what my total was because he just stared at me when he finished ringing me up. My brother use to work here almost two decades ago and we would have never guessed this place would wind up this way. The service only seems great with the Sushi and Chinese food section. Old blonde lady at self-check out is very rude and also racist. She asked to see my receipt which I would understand, but she did not ask any other people, who were all white, in that area to see their receipts. If she had been at her station where she was supposed to be, doing her job, she wouldn't have needed to bother me about my receipt. Just because I didn't have my items in a bag, doesn't mean I didn't pay for them, especially when I don't want to pay for a reusable bag that I won't reuse. read more

I was there today and when i was about to go home I wanted to buy a bag of suger free candy When I picked a bag of suger free candy and paid for it I sat down at the table to have a few before going home I opened the bag and there was about (7) candies all of witch were as hard as a brick so I took them to Tammy she said get another one so I went back and thay all wee as hard as a brick? All the suger free candies in the # 8 candies section were old, So I said to myself ill give the candies one more try so I picked the coconut one's and thay turned out to be fresh I just come here to eat an orange and have a suger free drink If you let them thay all will treat you like trash. Raleys has fully taken advantage of the price gouging model since the pandemic started. I went in to buy a bag of sugar yesterday and they are charging 6 dollars a bag! I can buy the same 5 pound bag down the street at walmart for 3 bucks. 20 dollars a pound for a ribeye steak! In the past I always preferred to shop raleys because of the selection, customer service, and they used to be a little cheaper than nugget but in many instances they are higher now. I dont know who is setting prices but a box of fruit loops is 7 bucks right now at raleys when everyone else is selling at 3. Greedy margins this isn't 10 or 30 percent its more than double. I seldom go into this store but went in there today because my son needed a few things that only raleys carries. I ended up putting items in my cart as well since I was there. When my son and I were done we went to the registers to purchase our items and the older female cashier was instantly somewhat snooty towards us so my son grabbed his items and went to self checkout. He didn't want to deal with that. She was very rude about that and short towards me. I chose to ignore her behavior and as she started ringing up my items I had double of one item, which she proceeded to question me about that. My patience was wearing thin at that point but I was nice and gave her a lame excuse so she'd ring up my items and be done with it. She was very judgy towards me and did not say one word to after I started speaking with the bagger who was much nicer, respectful and polite towards me. I really felt like she had no business asking me why 2 items. It was none of her business. Her job was to be polite, ring up my items and ask if I needed anything else...Nothing more. I feel don't want to return because of how she treated me in her line. I tried calling the store several times to speak to a manager about this but no one answers the phone. It just rings and rings and rings. It was not a good experience and validated why I don't like shopping there. This woman was very snobby, rude, unfriendly and judgemental. I have been using this story since 2004. Started using another store several year ago because they had better prices, but that was only temporary, so went back to Raley's and have been happy. Employees there are now friends and they are very helpful. Only complaint I would have is that sometimes they are out of stock of an item I use regularly, but I assume that's probably because it wasn't delivered or it was discontinued. read more
