Gonna agree with Tom M. on this one....the negative reviews are old. Clearly they've made great improvements and folks should feel comfortable shopping here. It's clean and there were two happy helpful employees when we were there. Loved seeing the diversity of snacks. They are considerate of the customers in the neighborhood. We even checked labels, they support CA products :) And yes, the slurpee machine was fully functional with several flavor options. Cups are with the cashier but it's good sanitary practice during these crazy times. Parking lot was full and lots of nice customers came for convenient items.

I'm not sure if it's Davis's but this pizza tasted undercooked and dry it was presentable but taste wise it was not it although I should've expected this from a convenience store but I didn't think they'd be this low. This is 711 delivery now not the store it's self but they kept switching up my delivery time and estimated arrival. Another thing I noticed is while actually shopping there they have a lot of suspicious activity around the store druggies drug exchanges homeless people made me feel really unsafe and Davis is far from this so I expected a little more care.

How many ants can you count??

I usually don't expect much from convenience stores, but the Davis 7/11 is pretty bad. A few nights ago, I went in for a Big Gulp. For some reason I felt like having a Sprite. Good thing I picked a clear one, because there were so many ants in the nozzle. So many! I dumped it out and left. Now, I am a frequent customer because I live so close. Being in food and beverage myself, I was compelled to write someone in corporate. 3 days later, I did receive a "we're sorry" email. But it was very canned and standard. Other than disgusting sanitation practices, I often find their coffee not fresh, the rewards system often offline, poorly trained staff, as well as sticky floors and counters. Again, my bar is set low for convenience stores, but this one falls flat.

The cockroach from my Big Gulp after I finished the soda and started eating the ice.

I literally just found a roach in my ice of my Big Gulp. I bought a soda half an hour ago and finished my soda and was eating the ice. I happened to notice something dark in my ice and stopped eating the ice. I pulled the piece out and a cockroach is half frozen in it. I will note that the staff was friendly. I originally stopped here for a Slurpee but the one I wanted was not working. About 3 or so were out of order or were liquid. It's kind of funny that if the Slurpee machines were all working I would not have gotten that soda and ate the ice instead. I never thought I would find a roach in any of my food. I used to get the taquitos all the time and imagined a cockroach being inside of one but I knew that would pretty much never happen. 7-Eleven through a curve ball and one got in the ice machine and killed itself in the ice. So long 7-Eleven, it was good while it lasted :(

The white bigger guy with glasses at the cashier was a little rude to the DoorDashers, not very professional of him.

Under new management with a new crew. I still stop by to visit the Tillamook beef stick rack, etc. The place is buzzin and well-stocked.

I always come here when I am missing one vital ingredient in whatever I'm making, whether that be Japanese Vietnamese, Korean or Chinese food. I'm really grateful that they have some fresh herbs and vegetables too if needed as well as a variety of Asian sauces, noodles and grains. They also have a decent collection of instant noodles and frozen food as well. Obviously, it's not stocked like your massive Asian superstore like H Mart, but it has all the essentials you need when you need a few things here and there and you're not looking to do a huge grocery haul. I've also picked up some of the prepared foods inside dishes here. The kimbap is all right, not huge portions, but is a good snack size. The tteokbokki is just OK in my opinion. I found the side dishes in the marinated meats to be really good though, if you're planning to do a KBBQ at home situation. The staff is always really friendly and prompt and the story is clean and pretty well organized. No boxes on the ground, which is nice.

Store was clean, I did find a larger variety of Soju than I normally have seen , so I picked up a bottle of the Melon Soju for $5.50, which seems about par for prices I have seen in other stores for other Soju. I also bought a couple of 10 packs of snacking Nori that were on sale for $4 The counter was staffed by a couple of young adults , seemed maybe college age, who asked if I found what I was looking for . They were pleasant, friendly and helpful.
