I only came here to pick up 1 item (some hair lotion). The first thing I noticed when I got to this location is that it moved. It used to be across the street in the plaza (with Subway and McDonald's). Now it is its own stand-alone store located at the corner of Redland Road and Muncaster Mill Road (a gas station was once at this location) - you can enter from both roads. The new space has its own parking lot, but in looking at the individual parking spaces it looked tight. I did not spend a long time in the store, but as I entered, the security alarm by the door went off - I knew it was not me and instantly one of the employees said it was her and that the alarm was sensitive (good to know). As I went further into the store looking for the specific product I wanted to buy, the security alarm (by the door) went off again and I thought to myself - if the employee is checking products, shouldn't they move away from the entrance if they know the security alarm is sensitive (just thought that was weird). Anyways, I found what I needed to purchase, paid for my item using one of my CVS coupons and headed out. A quick in and out. As I left the parking area, I noticed they had a large drive-thru at the side of their store (looks to be for the pharmacy) - that is also good to know. read more

The customer service in the pharmacy is the worse ever. They are rude disrespectful arrogant, unprofessional and just bad.

The line here is absolutely absurd. Customer service is horrible. Save yourself a headache and transfer all your meds elsewhere. The pharmacy is closed during lunch hour. read more

You will literally die waiting in this line. It's like purgatory.... The phone is even worse. They messed up so bad that my surgery was canceled. Because I didn't have my medicine that I needed. As a lot of the reviews already mentioned the service at this location is very lacking (specifically their pharmacy). Walked in as soon as the pharmacy opened to ask about getting a walk-in flu shot (which their website mentions was a possibility) and was greeted at the pharmacy by a rude lady acting really busy. Got an attitude right from the start (no greeting or acknowledgement) and when I asked if it would be possible to get a flu shot she spent time 'checking' the schedule and going on a rant about how their website also says "if it's busy we might not be able to do it". I definitely understand which is why I made sure to go first thing in the morning when they opened and when there were no other customers in the store but my issue is not that I wasn't able to get a flu shot but I feel like in all that time she spent ignoring me, 'looking' through the schedule, giving that spiel about the website she could have just poked me with the flu shot and got it over with but hey, I was reminded why I never come here even though it's 1 minute from my house. read more

The pharmacist and pharmacy techs are rude and lack customer service. They have provided the incorrect amount of medicine multiple times. Then when the customer points out their mistake, they make the customer wait for hours until the pharmacist is available. Finally after the pharmacist corrects the tech, the medication quantity is corrected - but neither are apologetic for their mistake. My advice is to double check your prescription quantity because they tend to make mistakes. Or go to another CVS where the pharmacy techs are competent. read more

Long wait times whenever I call, and I have difficulty getting accurate answers about when my prescriptions will be available.

Not sure who I spoke with on the phone in pharmacy this morning but she was extremely rude. All I needed was to transfer two prescriptions, and she kept questioning me unnecessarily. It was bizarre that after given my name, date of birth and confirmed I needed two things transferred from 611 s howard in Tampa to this she kept giving me a hard time. Not impressed at all with them. Get a new attitude and stop giving customers a hard time. read more

4:30 pm Friday 9/9. Pharmacy staff terrible. Picked up my partner's prescription and mine. We are on the exact same United Healthcare plan. We are both on the exact same drug at the exact same milligrams. Exact same insurance policy jointly. At pickup today, One prescription costs nothing, the other costs something. When I ask why everyone stares blankly. This is a United healthcare issue one staffer shouted out, There was five people behind the counter and no one would take the time to actually look at my health insurance online to see why there was a discrepancy. No one was helpful there. No one. I tried to explain at least three times both should cost the same. They all just looked at me like I was crazy. So now I have to pay more because people will not do their jobs --none of the five especially the male pharmacist. Coming from a family of pharmacists I actually know what I'm talking about. But no one bothered to check what I was trying to say at all. They talked down to me. Perhaps you should give your entire staff in the pharmacy some training on customer service. This is the third time when I go inside, people are either rude, uninformed about anything having to do with pharmacology or just uncaring and unhelpful. With all the terrible Yelp reviews, for months, why is nothing done? I will not be back. I can't imagine the people that get ripped off at the CVS pharmacy for their drug costs. Beware! Oh and move your prescriptions to the Safeway at King Farm. They are awesome. read more

I have been running a fever for 3 days, aching all over and massive headache. Two at home Covid tests have been negative. I was thinking maybe it's the flu. I lookup testing near me and the CVS Derwood MD came up with available appointments. I scheduled an appointment within the next hour and a half. First issue, I'm bombarded with confirmation texts (6 in total). I read the first 3 which were just confirmations and didn't bother reading any others. I arrive at the store in my mask and walk back to the counter that says prescription pick up and appointments. I stand back away from the counter and wait for someone to come help. I listen to the 3 young ladies there talking about some event going on in their personal life and wait patiently. Then one of the techs turns around and says "are you here for a pickup" I told her no, I have an 11:15 testing appointment. She rolls her eyes and says "the testing is done at the drive thru" and turns her back on me. I turned around went out and got back in my car and pulled up in the drive thru. A couple minutes later the same girl comes to the window and says "what's the name on the prescription", I told her I was there for testing. She tells me you'll need you confirmation number and walks away. 5 minutes later she returns and asks for the confirmation number, I give it, she walks away without saying anything. A few minutes I see her at the window and I can hear something muffled on the other side of the glass but she's standing to the side, not looking towards me and the speaker isn't on. Then the prescription door opens, I see a paper bag in it and she's turning to walk away and I asked her "what am I supposed to do with this?" I see she's saying something, I can't hear her and then she fumbles for the speaker button and says really rudely "what did you say?". I had my fill at that point, I told I was just going to go somewhere else and drove away. I called the CVS when I got home and sked to speak to the manager. Jenifer, the store manager was very professional and apologetic that I had a bad experience there. She asked if it would be OK to transfer my call to the pharmacy manager Sonia, and I said yes. When the manager Sonia got on the phone I explained that I was just there for testing and wanted to make a complaint. She like the techs was very short with me but then tried to soften her tone. I told her that if someone is coming in there for testing it's more than likely they aren't feeling well and the last thing they need is an attitude. She then proceeded to tell me that she witnessed the exchange and didn't see it that way Then gives me her version of, I came into the store walked up to the counter and never said anything until they asked me... ummm, isn't that being polite? Should I have yelled "HELLO... I'M STANDING HERE" Then she said what she witnessed was one sided because all she could hear was her techs side then added "there are only 3 of us in the pharmacy today" What is that supposed to mean to me as a customer? In the end, she made it pretty clear that my complaint was not going past her. I'd like to think that this might have been a miscommunication, but I don't think so. The girl was downright rude and whether or not she knew how to operate the drive through speaker is really of no consequence. Sonia Almas the Pharmacy manager needs some additional management classes. She was equally culpable of being rude from the beginning by allowing me to stand there without asking if they could help me and it appears she needs to learn how to separate managing people from being one the best girlfriends. Overall this CVS, very nice store and nice manager. This CVS Pharmacy, if I could give it a -5 I would. read more

They moved from the shopping center to the corner now. As a resident of Derwood it's our local CVS. Let me start with the customer service; ITS GOD AWFUL. Never anyone around to assist you with finding anything. Then when you get to checkout always a line and always just one person at the counter who never knOws what to do. The pharmacy is the WORST in the area they have awful customer service and care. RUDE RUDE RUDE! I dread having to go pick up anything from here someone needs to come in from corporate and train this location and get morrow staff in here read more

Too busy to give customer care. Been waiting five days for a prescription to be filled. Need six days in advance. Deadline today. Instead if telling me another CVS might have it, they kept me hanging. When I asked, they said just call the other pharmacy. I said do you need to talk to them? They said no. Called other pharmacy and theysaid they coukd not fill until they talked to original pharmacy, going in circles, and currently have an hour of wasted time and no prescription thanks to CVS not providing customer care and service. If i do not have prescription today will have to reschedule procedure and wait another three weeks for an opening at doctors office. I have been going to this CVS and when it was across the street my whole life. The employees used to be very nice and it was so easy to pick up prescriptions. Now they have extremely rude employees both in the store and in the pharmacy (the majority- not all of them). They always act like I am doing something wrong when the stupid self check out glitches every single time, but there is usually no one in the front to check out at first. The pharmacy keeps changing their hours and they always take forever! You wait in line for so long especially the drive thru. I got there at 6pm the other day with 3 cars in front of me... I waited an hour! They shut down without warning at exactly 7pm! There were also several cars behind me which is why I was STUCK for an hour! IF you are going to close at a certain time you need to help the people who sat in line for an HOUR! I know this job is hard and busy and customers can be rude etc but it is becoming impossible to get my medications! I am looking into other options. read more
