The only positive experience I've had with the pharmacy is on Thursdays when the Pharmacy Manager is in. I have been flat out lied to about the availability of a medication over the past 1-1/2 years. I left and went to Glasgow pharmacy and found the medication in stock that Elkton told me was unavailable within 50 miles for a month or more. Glasgow had it and filled it that day. Elkton Walgreens pharmacy has literally jerked me around, provided false information on a regular basis and tried to play doctor by deciding if I need the medication or not. So I go through the drive thru to receive the correct medication today and I only ask why I had to pay for my medication that they already billed my insurance for an I was told to hold on by the cashier she would check. The pharmacist came back to the window falsely accusing me of yelling at the cashier claiming she was yelled at an was upset an I should use the walk in service vs the drive through because it could've been resolved. All because I told hold I was gonna notify my insurance cause they had made a med error and that they billed my insurance already an didn't get the correct medication on 8/14/26. Now I'm the bad guy cause I ask why I had to pay a now accusing me of so called yelling at the cashier. This is unacceptable and i will not be treated this way. 0 stars.... for someone who has always used Walgreens to fill prescriptions when possible I will no longer be stepping foot in a Walgreens especially this location. For someone who has no insurance, suffers and requires medication this Walgreens and their entire pharmacy staff could care less for a suffering patient. For 2+ years I have paid cash or used my debit card for prescriptions.....I reached out a few days ago to this Walgreens to verify a medication being in Stock before my doctor sent it in. While I was waiting for a prescription today, there was an elderly couple that came in to ask a question. The pharmacist was very rude to them. - The only way they even got one star , Is the cashier at the entrance , Welcomes You at entry ! Otherwise Thumbs Down ... They have gotten our orders wrong / once they said our script was filled ! This pharmacy consistently so much worse than I ever thought a pharmacy could be. I've had multiple different doctors offices call in prescriptions that they've claimed they haven't gotten. Every time you come here the wait is insane even when there is no line. I've had them fill the wrong prescription. They don't call you when the prescription you're waiting for is ready. The absolute worst Pharmacy I've ever dealt with. No organization, wait times are ridiculous and very rude. They changed one of my Mom's prescriptions without contacting the doctor and never advised me when I picked it up. I brought the bottle to the doctor and he was furious. He did not send in a change in prescription but his name was on the bottle. This could have had a very bad adverse effect had I given this to my Mom. Yesterday I received a text that her RX was ready and in less than 2 hours I went to pick it up through the drive-thru....well guess what....they couldn't find it!! I was so angry I told the Pharmacist he was inept. We are transferring all our prescriptions from this horrible Walgreens to CVS. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Send your medicine somewhere else. I needed to refill my prescription. I called only to wait for 30 mins on the phone and get hung up on. I was already mad for having to wait that long and for someone to pick up have conversation then hang up. I called again the next day at 9 am on the dot only to wait 30 mins and get hung up on. I called back to speak to a manager she claimed she was going to tell them to pick up. I waited and got hung up on. I truly hate these franchise places. Went to the Walgreens to pick up a prescription and their pharmacy is the worst. The girl at the cashier looked at me and said she will get to me when she can and I was the only person in line.They have terrible customer service and when I spoke with the shift leader Kyle he was clueless and acted like he did not care. They do not put their customers first and I will never go back to that Walgreens again!!! read more

This pharmacy is ridiculously slow. If they tell you it's ready, it most likely is not. If they say about a15 minute wait, be prepared to wait at least an hour. And, always make sure you receive every prescription that was to be filled. On numerous occasions I've had to wait even longer for something they forgot to fill. read more

The wait time for prescriptions and service is horrible. Whether I go through the drive-through or in-store I am waiting at least 15 minutes to a half an hour or more for my medication. On occasion after they've had the prescription for almost 3 or four hours and still not ready. Then there's their automated call home phone system that says they are having problems with your prescription but then never call back to let you know what's going on And even when my doctor called in a prescription to save time it still takes hours before they fill it. They are definitely short staffed and need help in the prescription department. Otherwise everybody else in the store who works there is very very nice and they always greet me when I come in. read more

Walgreens states that it does COVID testing but you actually need to have it done, quote from the pharmacy "I can't help you with that". And this was after enrolling online at the Walgreen's website and being put on hold and my call being transferred. All for nothing! read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Staff is horrible. Very nasty and incompetent. When I complained to asst. Manager the employee said he didn't care. Asst. Manager did nothing and was as bad as the rest of the pharmacy. Corporate needs to just start from scratch at that location. read more

I am messaging to alert you to a situation that occurred this morning around 10:00am at the Walgreens in Elkton Maryland. As I was waiting for my prescription with my 3 year old daughter, a manager or supervisor of some sort brought an employee over to the aisle right next to us. She began to question him and scold him for a job he had done incorrectly. She was making a point to embarrass him and put him on the spot. I felt uncomfortable and my daughter was watching and listening to every word she said. Thankfully, a woman sitting next to me interrupted this and expressed her concern over what she was witnessing. She told the manager that is was inappropriate and wrong to publicly embarrass this employee. The woman said that this was something that needed to be handled privately. The manager stared blankly at this woman and continued to berate this employee without acknowledging anything this woman said. The more I think about this, the more upset I become. I cannot believe that this manager found it appropriate to handle this matter in such a poor way....and in front of customers! I certainly hope that my young daughter did pick up on what was occurring...what a poor role model for how we should treat other human beings. The young man being addressed was very apologetic about his mistakes, but she just continued to point out every error and was very unprofessional about the way she pointed it out. I truly felt bad for this young man. I am wondering what training management goes through, and how they are evaluated. It was obvious that this manager has no business leading employees. read more

Everybody complains about the wait time at Walgreens. Rightly so!!, but there's a really easy solution. Switch to Rite Aide like I did. You can drop off a prescription and they will tell you when it should be ready. You can sign up for texts also that will let you know when it's been completed. If the drive through isn't busy when you drop off a script they will sometimes fill it right then. Everyone in the pharmacy is very nice and often they know your name even before you give them your information. I am handicapped and can only stand for a few minutes even with my walker. I remember trying to stand in the pharmacy line to pick up a script at Walgreens and sweating badly because I was in so much pain. I guess after nine back surgeries that can happen. But the worst is when somebody in front of you has a whole cart full of stuff and they have to call a manager for a price check on gummy bears or some other dumb thing. Just go to Rite Aide. They're so much more kind and respectfu. read more

I have been using Walgreens for over 5 years and have been very happy with their service. However, over the last few months service has really gone downhill. It is not uncommon to wait inline inside for at least 1/2 hour. The drive through is hit and miss. Usually 15-20 minutes on average. Tonight waited 16 minutes for one car to complete their transaction, to pull up and be told that my scripts from 7 hours earlier were not ready and I would have to drive around or come inside as they were finishing them as we speak - so I have to leave and come back but others wait in line to get them finished? I watched as two staff members were on their cell phones doing only God knows what. Hey if you are that busy - stay off your phones and take care of customers. I am going back to Rite Aid. Very sad because Jen the manager is great bit her staff does a horrible job. read more
