I was even approached to see if I was finding everything that I was looking for. The store is located in the Encino Marketplace, so parking is plentiful. Walking in, the store was bright and it was easy to navigate the aisles with the ceiling signage. The only ding that I have is that the ladies room needed to be checked, as only one stall had toilet paper. Otherwise, things were well organized.

That kind of sudden increase is unacceptable. After doing my own research and calling around, I was able to get the exact same medication at another pharmacy for just $66. Methadone is a very inexpensive medication .20 cent a pill so this kind of markup feels excessive and, frankly, like price gouging. Patients rely on pharmacies for fair and consistent pricing, especially for essential medications. Situations like this create unnecessary stress and make it hard to trust that you're being treated fairly. I would strongly recommend that others call around and compare prices before filling prescriptions here. Oh, on top of that, the main reason why I'm recommending not going to them. They are rude mean men.

She often comes across with an attitude, slams items around, and makes customers feel like they're an inconvenience. Even simple products like Colgate toothpaste are locked up, and when you ask for assistance, she responds as if she doesn't want to help. The only positive experience I've had is with Leo, the cashier. He is always kind, patient, and respectful to customers. Another ongoing issue is that the store's machines frequently break down, and customers are made to feel like it's somehow their fault. The store also doesn't seem to have much in stock. I've noticed other customers complaining that no one comes when they ask for help, and when someone finally does, they often seem annoyed or upset about having to assist. Since many people in this neighborhood are elderly, it was especially upsetting to see them being treated this way. I hope management addresses these issues because every customer deserves to be treated with respect.

Consider it closed between 1 and 4:15 a.m. I've gone in twice around 1:40 a.m. and found the shutters closed. On the first occasion three or four people were waiting for 2:10 a.m., when a sign says someone will be back. My visit wasn't urgent, but I wonder if some of those people were coming from ER. Supposedly, I learned on my second visit (thinking the first closure was an aberration), the pharmacy closes from around 1 to 2:30, reopens for a half-hour, then closes again from 3 to 4 for computer update. Supposedly they reopen at 4, but I remember a time when it was closer to 4:15 before my shuttle-banging got them to open. (I repented my annoyance when I talked with the attendant.) I don't know how they rationalize such dismal service -- if the 1 a.m. closing is for lunch, why can't they have lunch at 3 when they're forced to close for computer update? -- but I do know my current impulse is to seek another pharmacy, even if it forces me to venture out on hot days to get in long air-conditioned lines. PS: I suppose some attendants will say "I'll starve if I have to wait until 3," but I've learned that even a cup of water or a quick nibble of something will appease the hunger. The delay, for me, makes lunch all the better.

Encino pharmacy has a problem in their billing department. Avoid Kim. They called to tell me that…read moremedications were halted and not being refilled due to an outstanding balance where the account was frozen. They said they were sending hardcopy mail, but they were sending it to the wrong address. When I contacted them, they insisted that they were sending it to the right address, even though we have not received any of those bills. We received a call months ago to correct the address and ensure that the bills were properly processed. For some reason they were not able to get the mail to the appropriate address. This resulted in hundreds of dollars in late copayments being due at once. Only after calling back twice to speak to the manager, Sylvia, was it explained that they made an error and should not have blocked the refill of the medications. Sylvia also offered to split up the payments which was not offered by the billing department. It seems that only Sylvia the manager seems to know what is going on.
