Encino pharmacy has a problem in their billing department. Avoid Kim. They called to tell me that medications were halted and not being refilled due to an outstanding balance where the account was frozen. They said they were sending hardcopy mail, but they were sending it to the wrong address. When I contacted them, they insisted that they were sending it to the right address, even though we have not received any of those bills. We received a call months ago to correct the address and ensure that the bills were properly processed. For some reason they were not able to get the mail to the appropriate address. This resulted in hundreds of dollars in late copayments being due at once. Only after calling back twice to speak to the manager, Sylvia, was it explained that they made an error and should not have blocked the refill of the medications. Sylvia also offered to split up the payments which was not offered by the billing department. It seems that only Sylvia the manager seems to know what is going on. read more

Do not use their delivery service. Depending on the type of medication, it will be stolen and replaced with who knows what. Very dangerous and risky. Possible inside job. When I called to question the color my medication should be I was told 3 different things by 2 different techs. Either they have techs that dont know what they're doing or somebody's not being truthful. I'm allergic to so much this could've killed me. read more

Okay so I don't write many reviews but this place has been absolutely great. I use to go to West-Val pharmacy but between the long wait for my meds and the impersonal staff I decided to take my business elsewhere. Encino Care Pharmacy is my all time favorite pharmacy. I have been going to them for over two years now. When they do not have my medicine in stock, the medicine is ordered immediately and ready for pick up the following day. Fabulous!! Why wait for meds when they will deliver to your house for free? They will even start your meds without the prescription hard copy if you fax it to them. Just make sure you have it to give to the driver when he comes to deliver. I used to get frustrated when my chain pharmacy didn't have my medications in stock. This pharmacy will order your meds for SAME DAY delivery if you put in your order in by 11AM. Oh, the best part? They handle Prior Authorizations!! read more

Unfortunately, I can't say it's the best. My daughter's Doctor placed an order on Tuesday around 3:00 pm and they were supposed to deliver the medication in the afternoon. It's midnight and we are still calling the pharmacy asking what happened. They ended up suggesting that we call the Doctor to transfer the prescription to a CVS. Totally unacceptable. This place is the best. The pharmacists always go above and beyond when you need it. I am on a pain management program and it is the only place I don't feel "shamed" for the medications I'm taking. If insurance needs to be contact it can take over a week to get a simple rx filled and them they will lie about what happened even when there is proof they are wrong. Everyone, check your bills. This pharmacy has been over-billing me for 3 years now and I just discovered it. I've been working with them to rectify the situation, but am only getting the runaround from them. The staff is rude and abrupt and do not return calls when they promise to call you back. It's very interesting that they have these reviews that they're great and all when in fact they're super rude. My mother has been getting her medication from here and lately all she's been getting is an attitude from the people here. One time I was physically in the room when the pharmacist told my mother she couldn't help her and amazing enough it was Mother's Day too like no type of sympathy just plain rude like really ? This time she mentioned to me that the person she spoke to didn't want to help her and told her call back on Monday. My mother just needed prices on her prescriptions like I'm sorry but how busy is the person that she couldn't do one simple task. She does get paid for this doesn't she. Then my mother went on to say that what this person did was put her on hold and constantly hang up on her and since my mom kept calling back she finally gave her the price of the medicine. I had been looking for a new pharmacy since the people at Rite Aid and other big pharmacies are commonly rude and uncaring. I asked my physician if he had any recommendations, and he said his patients all love Encino Care Pharmacy. Now I know why! This is the greatest pharmacy!!!! They are super nice, and they deliver your medicine to your home! I forgot to pick up my husband's cholesterol medication yesterday, and I had gotten all the way home (about a 30-minute drive without traffic) before I realized it. I was so bummed. But a few minutes after arriving home, there was a delivery person at our home with the medicine. They had delivered it to our home without me even asking. How nice is that?! Also, they have a well-staffed pharmacy - meaning you don't have to wait too long for prescriptions, and they are just so sweet - always! I'm really happy that I found this pharmacy! read more
