I have never met such rude people who work in this pharmacy. They are cold, dismissive, impatient and robotic (not in a good way).

I will start off by saying I never give reviews like this, but Ryan helped me out so incredibly…read moremuch! I was having problems connecting my insurance to my billing account and he advocated for me. He went ahead and called my insurance for me and stayed on the line with them for over an hour multiple times just to make sure everything was correct. He also gave me phone call updates making sure that all the info was correct and to let me know where we were at with billing. He went above and beyond, and I am extremely grateful. He is also not the only employee that was great. The pharmacist tech has aways been friendly and lovely. Just overall a good pharmacy and I won't ever go to another store for pick up!

Let me just start off by saying this is the best pharmacy I've ever used in all of my almost 31…read moreyears. I'm not a fan of the way I've learned Walmart operates/treats their employees, but this pharmacy? Oh wow. I've never had an issue with getting my meds that was caused by them, and THEY handle issues caused by my insurance or things like needing refills from my doctor. At other pharmacies, I was always told *I* needed to be the one to do their job for them, and even once I did, or when I had a good pharmacy tech that would do their very best to help me, things would not be ready when they were supposed to be, and it added a huge load/made it even more of a constant struggle to take care of myself. This pharmacy has taken some of the pain out of being chronically ill. That is unexplainably (to people in good health) valuable to us, because it's already SO SO constantly difficult dealing with a body that doesn't work the way it's supposed to, without having to also fight with the bureaucratic side of it and feel like no one is listening. Here, it feels like they really care about getting you taken care of the right way. This morning, I called to get all of my available meds refilled. They told me it would be 2 hours to fill 5 meds and that they would contact my doctor to get the other 2 I needed refilled. By a 1/2 hour later, ALL of them were ready to pick up. I appreciate them so much.

Fred Meyer was the original one stop shopping spot. When I was growing up it was kind of the fancy…read moreplace--we didn't shop there a lot because it was more expensive than Safeway or Shopko or whatever. It's gone downhill in a huge way, which probably in part started with the acquisition by Kroger. My mom needed to stop here for something today so I went in to check out the kid's section. They had some cute stuff and a pretty good sale happening so I ended up buying some shirts, dresses, pants, a coat, and some other things. As part of the sale was a $10 off coupon for purchase of $50 or more. We got to the checkout and I asked the woman who was ringing me up about one of the prices, which hadn't rung up correctly. She said that I needed to have my card and since I don't have one I put in my sister's number. It wasn't bringing up her account so I said I guess I needed to get a card, and the cashier said that she didn't know if she had any at the cash stand. I tried a couple more times with my sister's number with the same result so I said I'd need to get a card and she said the same, like that was the end of it. I mean, I wanted a card of course so I could get the discounts; if they didn't have any at that cash stand, where would I get one? She did find one and scanned it in, so things looked good. Then came time to scan the $10 off coupon. It wouldn't ring up. She tried it two or three times and it didn't reduce the total by a penny. Again, the cashier was kind of neutral about it and just said I must not have purchased enough stuff. My total was $93 so that was not the issue. The cashier again just was ready to leave it at that until I asked if there was a manager who could help, so she called over the manager. They kept insisting that I hadn't spent enough money or something because the coupon wouldn't work, but they couldn't articulate why and there was nothing on the coupon that said it shouldn't be applicable; in fact, it specifically stated that you could use it with other discounts and coupons. I insisted that they honor the coupon since they couldn't tell me why it wasn't valid except to say that it wasn't scanning. The manager called someone else and I guess was told to just start putting in codes until the right amount was taken off, which they did; first $5 came off and then they entered one that lowered the price to $73. The manager then said that because it had taken off more that nothing in the purchase would be returnable. What?? I was buying children's clothes, and kids clothes are not always the most accurate in sizing (especially with a ~93rd percentile child)! I said that was ridiculous that I couldn't return something if it didn't fit--it wasn't my problem that they weren't able to get it to work properly and that didn't correct it when more came off than should have. She continued to say nothing would be returnable. I don't know how they'd enforce that, honestly, but since I bought almost all of it a size larger than should be necessary it should fit (though of course I'd return it if it didn't; otherwise I'd be out the money with clothes that didn't fit). To add insult to injury, the cashier apologized repeatedly to the guy who was in line behind us. Yes, he'd been waiting, but there are other cashier stands in the store. And we'd also been waiting at least 10 minutes while they figured out the whole thing! But not a single apology for my mom (who had her own stuff to purchase) or me. Just all around a terrible experience, and luckily for me I don't shop at Fred Meyer.

On July 3, I visited the Walgreens pharmacy after being seen at BestMed Urgent Care across the street. Because it was a holiday and we weren't sure which pharmacies would be open, the provider gave me a handwritten prescription. At approximately 9:20 a.m., I dropped off my prescription with Hannah. From the beginning, the interaction was not pleasant. She seemed more focused on questioning my address than helping me. She was unable to locate my profile even though I have filled several prescriptions at this Walgreens. I've lived at the same address for the past three years, so I'm not sure why my information wasn't current. She told me to return in an hour. When I came back, her demeanor had not improved. She informed me that the Trillium insurance network was "down," so she could not bill my insurance. Since it was a holiday and I had both a sinus and ear infection, I asked what my options were. She told me I could either wait or pay cash. I asked whether I could be reimbursed later if I paid out of pocket, and she told me I would need to contact Trillium. Wanting to begin treatment as soon as possible, I paid cash. Today, I contacted Trillium and spoke with pharmacy representative Kenny. He confirmed that the Trillium system was not down. Instead, the claim had been rejected because the prescribing provider was not enrolled as a Medicaid provider. He explained that all I needed was a corrected prescription from the urgent care, after which Walgreens could reprocess the claim and reimburse me. After waiting on hold with the pharmacy for more than 30 minutes without anyone answering, I went into the store. After standing at the counter for several minutes before being acknowledged, Hannah came to assist me. I explained what Trillium had told me and mentioned that I had the representative on the phone. Before hearing the explanation, Hannah immediately became defensive and insisted, "It was down." While speaking with the Trillium representative, she rolled her eyes, made visible faces, and appeared irritated that I was trying to resolve the issue. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. I then had to return to the urgent care because the corrected prescription was initially sent to the wrong pharmacy. After another trip back to Walgreens, my prescription was finally reprocessed and I was reimbursed. While I appreciate that the reimbursement was ultimately completed, the entire situation could have been avoided. Had I been told on July 3 that the claim was rejected due to the prescribing provider's Medicaid enrollment status, I could have immediately returned to urgent care and had the prescription corrected. Instead, I spent two additional hours making phone calls and traveling back and forth between the pharmacy and urgent care. Mistakes happen, and I understand that pharmacy staff work under pressure. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication, professionalism, empathy, and accountability throughout the process. At no point did Hannah acknowledge the misunderstanding or apologize for the inconvenience. As someone who was already sick and simply trying to get medication, I left feeling frustrated and unsupported. Healthcare should include compassion as well as accuracy. I hope this feedback can be used to improve communication and customer service so future patients don't have a similar experience.

I would not write a review of this Walgreens if not for Alexander. He alone is the purpose of this…read morereview and all the stars go to him, with one knocked off because the parking situation. He was so incredibly welcoming when I walked in the door gave me a bright, happy good morning when I walked in. I stopped at the photo counter and he was the one who came to help me there to pick up the photos that I had had printed. When he said that he could go ring me up at the register or if I had other things to pick out to feel free to do that. It reminded me that I did in fact have a couple items that I needed to get which I quickly picked up with his help because he knew exactly where the item that I was looking for was. And then when I left and he checked me out, he was chipper as I'll get out, especially for someone who had come in on his day off on a day that was absolutely beautiful. Not at all Alexander related, but it must be mentioned: The parking lot is an absolute freaking mess. It seems like the only way you're actually supposed to enter the parking lot is via driving north and entering from that direction. Leaving is also a one-way situation, continuing north. The parking lot is way too small for Walgreens and Dutch Bros.
