It's a fairly new place, so clean and and nice inside. They have an extensive menu and lots of specials up on boards inside as well. The milk in the bubble tea varies from drink to drink, but will be either non-dairy creamer, whole milk, or condensed milk. They do not have alternative milks. Their boba was not ready so I tried brown sugar crystal instead and it was tasty and chewy like a stiff jelly. Getting the drink at 0% sugar plus this add-on was plenty sweet for me. The server was friendly and helpful and answered my various questions. I wanted to understand if the drink thru is drinks only? I have been harboring a desire for "drive thru sushi" for years, but alas, their drive thru is drinks only. As for the food, the veggie taco was very tasty. It seemed to contain warm rice, tofu, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, cilantro, carrots and ginger dressing . The shell is a fried combo of seaweed and rice paper. The tamago and oshinko rolls were standard fare, tasty but nothing special. The restrooms were marked gender specific, but the women's room at least was a one seater with a locking door. Affordable and delicious Japanese eats! Great selection of izakaya foods, ramen, boba, and sushi. Very affordable and very delicious! Ok but have had better. Really wanted to try unique Asian drinks that might have added a star but drinks not available on our visit. Pretty typical pricing for meals ($14-$19) plus lots of sushi offerings. Tonkatsu ramen and teriyaki beef bento were fairly standard. Fancy signature sushi (likely what this establishment is known for) was typically around $18 but we didn't try it. Wing appetizer consisting of 5 very small flats was disappointing for $7. Modern Japanese setting that was probably understaffed during weekends.....and no drinks! Might give another try after visiting other Japanese restaurants. read more

My kiddo was beyond thrilled to have the second location from the Day and Night folks open up and serve sushi! She got to order her favorite strawberry lava milk with boba and we ordered way too much sushi. Everything seemed very fresh and the price was great for what we got. We also tried the chicken teriyaki bento and it was a generous portion with a nice mix of items. This building has been many things throughout the years. There's a big parking lot and the remnants of former businesses (old, boarded up drive through). The space inside has been decorated nicely to go with the new theme. Food is very good one of the best for the best price in Eugene. I took my 16 year old grandson there this evening. He was elated by it all. Many Mmmms coming out. LOL! I agree! He had a Red Zone Roll and Takoyaki appetizer and a Day and Night Boba tea. He loved every bit of it. He shared a bite of the Red Zone with me. It was very good. I love spicy and to me this wasn't. I am fine with that in the evening though. Night heartburn is not fun. I had Chirashi Don it was ok. Definitely not the quality of Chirashi Don I got the first time I was there two weeks after they opened. I expected that though. I noticed that a lot of sushi restaurants quality will decline after first opening. I think they want to give more , but it cost to much and they don't wish to raise prices. It was still good but not the amount or quality I had the first time. No deep red Maguro or Hamachi or seared Tuna. The pieces were much smaller. I also had Seaweed salad. It was good quality. I had the same drink as my grandson with lychee instead of tapioca boba. They still seem to be a bit understaffed. Response time for the waiter/waitress is off compared to your dinning. It takes to long for them to respond and time to grab them for information. Then to check back to see if you're ready to order, then if you are finished and would like your check. I had to place my debit card in the table so they would notice I was ready for my check. I am not sure it's understaffed or that the staff need direction in how to best deal with timing. The customer service was excellent. The food was amazing! I tried the California roll- very good! I tried the Tonkotsu ramen-very good, but I wasn't crazy about the corn in it. I was actually curious about the Ramen, but I think I'm more curious about trying out the sushi next time. I will definitely have to try the Boba next! The food here is AMAZING!! My partner and I tried the teriyaki salmon bento, salmon donburi, spider taco, and the tuna poke taco. The all star was definitely the spider taco. If you haven't tried it, DO IT. So saucy and fresh and flavorful! On the downside, the service was not great. I'm not sure if we came on a bad day or if it's the norm, but service was extremely slow from the second we walked through the door. We waited 10mins at the front before we were greeted or even saw anyone outside of the kitchen. Two other parties arrived after us and one of them left before we were greeted. I will say, once we were seated, our server was very friendly but they seemed understaffed. Overall, I would give this place another shot just for the food alone. read more

This is a newer restaurant in town that my friend and I have been meaning to try for quite some time now. We ordered a wide range of items to share and they were all spectacular. The service was very good and attentive and friendly. I hope that this place stays for good because it has kind of been a never-ending list of rotating restaurants. My wife and I just heard about Kasumi House and (always on the lookout for good Japanese food) we decided to check it out. We ordered take out: Tonkotsu Ramen, a West Coast Roll, and a Salmon Donburi (Rice bowl). The cuts of fish were good and felt reasonably priced. We were surprised that the Salmon Donburi had sashimi cuts - we assumed the salmon would be cooked and were pleasantly surprised. The ramen broth wasn't quite as a rich as I'd expect from a tonkotsu, and the noodles are probably premade. However, I'm willing to forgive both of those things since it seems like the bento and the sushi are the heart of this restaurant. The ramen seems like an added bonus. The West Coast Roll was good! Everything tasted very fresh and the flavors blended together well. My order was ready exactly when they said it would be, which is great for a take out order. The hostess was nice and handled everything well. Overall, the interior was quieter than I expected, but I was picking up dinner a little on the early side and they're still new. We need to get the word out! We'll be back to try some other things. :) read more

Today I became aware of Kasumi House opening last month in Eugene. My wife and I stopped in there for an early dinner. The ambiance, the food, and the service (in spite of what another individual posted) were all spot-on. I had the Tan Tan ramen. It was easily the best ramen I've had since moving to Oregon over 7 years ago. The nigiri was delicious and the Avocado Bomb was definitely worth mentioning. My wife and I joked that we could have ordered 4 Avocado Bombs and been perfectly happy. Easily the best prices on Japanese cuisine in the area. And better quality than what local competitors are charging more money for. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out. read more

Such a disappointment. Stopped in around 1 to try a few items to take home. I had read a few reviews and was optimistic that there was sushi walking distance (we usually go to Sushi Pure downtown) but I won't be trying a second time. I got (5 tiny) spring rolls. Nice and crispy on the outside but cold and mushy on the inside. Scallop Popper which was one of their signature rolls. It had a fire emoji next to it so I was expecting spicy but not even a little bit. The roll must have had crab in it (it was the first ingredient listed) but I didn't see or taste any. The roll was topped with either the smallest scallops ever or small pieces that were covered with mushy breading and unagi sauce. The maguro sashimi was super fresh and delicious but they didn't include any wasabi or ginger that I specifically requested. read more

We wanted to try this spot because they'd advertised as a "Japanese comfort food" restaurant. I was expecting a focus on hot dishes, maybe udon or regional dishes but it's just a standard American sushi/boba spot (multiple things on the menu were definitely not Japanese, including orange chicken????). The decor is cool, the tables were clean and all the furniture was new. The food was good and the fish tasted clean. However, I wouldn't say it tasted any better than the other sushi spots in Eugene. The roll sizes were also way too big/inconsistently sliced. The staff were very polite but pretty absent, they checked on us once, pretty late into our meal. They took a long time to bring a check. Might just be because they're new, or maybe need to hire one more for weekends! They just seemed disorganized and frazzled once it got a little busy. Overall, I guess I'd come back in a pinch just because I live nearby but I'd definitely choose Sushi Pure or Izakaya Momo for better Japanese food. read more
