Earlier this year I got pretty sick. I'm talking all out fever, head cold, chest pains, sore throat--kind of sick. My physician diagnosed me with bronchitis and prescribed me some antibiotics. So I went to the Wal-Mart in my area to get my prescription filled and my refill filed. Get this a 90 day supply was $20 bucks! Ridiculous! I left and went to CVS instead closer to my home in Queens. I made my way back of the store and walked over to the counter where a nice lady greeted me. She happily entered all my info into her computer. I talked to her about how sick I was, etc. and had a nice conversation. I told her how long Wal-Mart was going to take, and she said I'm not the first to tell her that. She also saved me a lot of money by letting me sign up for this membership, for 15 dollars, you can pay 11.99 for over 400 types of generic medications, mine being one of them, and you get a 15 dollar gift card in return. I asked her if I was able to use my gift card towards my other prescriptions, and she said no problem. Within minutes my prescriptions were ready. I am totally impressed by the professionalism and quickness of CVS and I will most certainly be going to CVS from now on. read more

Worst customer service. I scheduled to get a flu shot, waited for at least 30 min outside to get to the store (covid19 reality) and then was told that there was no-one in the pharmacy to give me the shot. They offered me to wait another hour. The question is why not to put a sign or something on the door, I already not mentioning that they took all my info, including phone and email, to notify customers about the changes in the service. This is my go-to neighborhood pharmacy and I love the convenience of the location right on Queens Blvd and right off the 67th Ave train station. The pharmacy and grocery is open 24/7 which is really great for those late or super early last minute runs before heading to the airport or simply before having friends over. They are nicely stocked with essentials and grocery items and although the store may be packed during evening rush hours, the wait at the checkout is never excruciating long. They also have a self checkout machine which is great for those making quick purchases and self sufficient to use it. Also, make sure to utilize the coupon center machine by simply scanning your cvs rewards card before shopping to ensure you maximize savings! The staff here are also great in case you need assistance with anything at all!. read more

Called in to pharmacy to update some insurance information, left me on hold for 15 mins at a time, and hangs up. I had to call 3 times before i got someone on the phone. and then coincidentally their computer froze and left me on hold. For something that takes less than a minute, i had to waste over 45 mins waiting for someone to be "available." Not acceptable. read more

Most awful pharmacists! They don't deserve any star at all. Was waiting to be served for over an hour and when I asked for assistance, they kept bouncing me from one person to the other. Nice makeover, CVS down the street from my apartment. If you haven't been there recently, they've renovated and I think they're doing pretty well. They installed a self check-out area as well now. The CVS sales are great, and even getting groceries is a worthy reason to shop there now. Ew gross they sell expired chocolates! When I gave the whole box of expired Reese's to the cashier telling her they are all expired, she didn't even look at me and walked away! And then I watched her come back to the counter after I walked away and put the expired chocolate back where they were for sale. Literally every time I go here there is an issue with my prescription. I take a controlled substance which I can't abruptly stop taking because I can go into withdrawals and seizures. There's times I filled the medications two days before I went to pick it up and they didn't have it ready or even have the medication. So when I asked them why they didn't call me to let me know or why they haven't yet ordered the medication they had no response. Another time I went to refill my medication and the pharmacist told me he couldn't fill it because it was too soon from my last prescription which wasn't the case. I go every 30 days, and he didn't know what he was talking about. I got in an argument with him and asked for a supervisor, it was too late so the supervisor had left. Then when I got home 3 am I got a phone call from my mother because the pharmacist had called her house because that was the number on file. He figured out he messed up and then I called him and he apologized and I went into the fill the prescription. Another time they didn't have the full amount, so they partially filled my script and I went in the next day to get the rest. So the next time I went the same thing happened where they didn't have the full amount but they told me they couldn't partially fill the prescription because it was controlled. I told her if she looked at the computer she could see last time I came to this same exact pharmacy they did partially fill the prescription so she obviously didn't know what she was talking about. Literally every time I go to this pharmacy there is some issue. I usually go to the cvs in bayside but I unfortunately moved to forest hills and I can't wait to move back to bayside. I've been getting this medication for years and never once have I had one issue at the cvs in bayside. The staff is completely unprofessional, disorganized and really don't seem to have a clue on how to run a pharmacy. If you have important medication you need to take, please go to another pharmacy because I can guarantee you there will most likely be an issue. read more

This place always has there shelves stocked and is open 24hrs!!! Big plus. There is not really any stores in the area that is open late besides the deli next to CVS. The staff there is really nice and it seems like they have a lot of the "good products" on a promo for that week. For example normally a bag of Chex Mix is around $4-5. They were selling 2 for $3 if you had a club card.... That was a good day! read more

The pharmacy is good and the people are helpful. Otherwisr, it's a dump. I just came out of there. The card reader for the rewards card doesn't work (you have to type your phone number), they have only the lowest grade sodas and drinks, they're out of food staples, half of the automated checkouts don't dispense cash, and their ATM is out of order. read more

This place is a nightmare. Consistently. I have never been to a wholly inadequate and deplorably inconvenient convenience store/pharmacy IN MY LIFE. There are never enough employees at the registers. This would be fine if there were not constant lines from the local 75+ year old population haggling over coupons and one or two of the "self service" machines constantly broken or not accepting cash or not providing cash back or not accepting cards. Navigating through the carts of 40 bottles of mouth wash on sale is a nightmare after the 5pm commute. God forbid you need a clerk to help you when the self service machine requires a clerks assistance. Items are scarce on the shelves because of the aging population that destroys the shelves with coupon barrages. I went into the store to purchase one item, AAA batteries. One item. I was there for 20 minutes. I couldn't find a single four pack. I waited in line for ten minutes. More often than not the ATM is out of order. Half of the employees look like they could care less if they were working there and I can't blame them. The pharmacy staff is friendly if you can get to them. There is never not a line of less than five people. I understand that it is in a congested area but JESUS, HIRE MORE STAFF. Awful. This store should be embarrassed but, given that it is a corporate chain and they know people will go there out of "convenience," they could care less and this review is likely just going into the ether. At least it let me vent. Ahhhh. Oh, and one last thing. You can change the aesthetics of the store but you can't polish a turd. read more

This *hithole of a pharmacy is not a pharmacy its a dump slump! They never have anything at all! The pharmacy sucks and lacks so much, the people in the pharmacy do not know what they are doing whatsoever! They never have any medications, and are always out always! I bought some chairs there and get, you know, stuff. The ATM is a rip off.

Never had a problem until recently. Now they are always charging me the full amount for scripts regardless of my insurance information. They don't want to take the time to update my insurance, saying my card is for doctors offices only (even though there is an RX number right on the front). Most recently they lost a script I submitted with another and insist they never had it. Then I have to jump through all the hoops...to get my scripts resubmitted and to get reimbursed from the insurance company what I shouldn't have had to pay to begin with. Also, always a ridiculous line and wait. Time for a new pharmacy. Too bad, this is so close to my apartment. Just too much of a headache. read more

I was in CVS and then I saw there was a sale for the things I needed that is the place I always go and the wait isn't Long. I also appreciated the good Customer service they provide. They always try to refill there products so it's fresh. I also rated it 5 star because If they run out of the item and it's on sale they give rain check to any customer if the item is on sale and the item is out of stock and the good thing is that it doesn't expire and you can use it in a different CVS. read more

The best CVS in Queens. Their staff are very friendly. They greet you when you walk in and bid you farewell when you leave. The store itself is well stocked. You don't usually see empty shelves at this store. Most sale items of the week are also in an abundance. Keep up the good work!! read more

I love that it is incredibly convenient for me and that they have super sales, coupons, and ExtraBucks. I save a lot of money there. Not so much on prescriptions, as it is cheaper to use your insurance company's mail order service, like Right Source, for example, but on foodstuffs, paper goods and toiletry items I do save quite a bit over the supermarket. The staff is very nice. I could do without being constantly greeted on entering and throughout the store and then said goodbye to, but OK. The thing that gets me is that they very aggressively push self-checkout. Every single time I use it, something goes wrong, and, if you have coupons or ExtraBucks, you need to wait for a real person to come help you anyway. So, I always stand in line and wait for the cashier, but the employee in charge of the self-service can literally torture you with persuasion to use it to the point that you want to smack him or her. That is the reason I took off a star. read more

i honestly disagree with what the other people above say about CVS on 67th first of all its not the employees fault that the line gets so big the store is near many buses and train so when people get off they enter the store to buy things second the staff is wonderful kind and helpful and quick on their feet i should know i shop there every day third if people have a problem with the store then don't shop there if you don't like big lines oh well deal with it because you cant always have it your way besides when theres a big line at a store its a good thing that means the store has a lot of happy customers who always come back for what they need because they are able to find what they're looking for i love this cvs wouldn't change it or its employees neither would i change the manager the store is great, clean and always a nice place to go shopping read more
